October 27, 2013 (Kapalua, Maui) -- More than 800 endurance athletes from around the world participated in the 18th annual off-road triathlon, which started and finished at The Ritz-Carlton Kapalua hotel on Maui. The course consisted of a 1-mile swim, a 20-mile mountain bike, and a 10-kilometer (6.2 miles) trail run.

In this video, Charles give a tour of the 2015 Nissan Xterra Pro-4X model. This particular model features two toned all terrain wheels, built in roof wrack and flood lights. The integrated floodlights come with caps to keep them cover when not in use. Charles gives some ideas on different things you can use the integrated wrack for.
You'll notice that this model has no step bars for getting in and out. This is so that you'll have more ground clearance. This Xterra has 11.5 inches of clearance from the ground to the frame rails. This vehicle is one of the last traditional SUVs that is body on frame designed.
The 4 Liter V6 in this off road SUV gives it a lot of get up and go. And, you can feel it when you hit the gas peddle. For you off roading fanatics, this Xterra features a full locking rear differential.
Comfort and convenience features include heated seats, a 6.5 inch color monitor and navigation just to name a few.

November 1, 2015 (Kapalua, Maui, Hawaii) - Josiah Middaugh, 37, from Eagle-Vail, Colorado and Flora Duffy, 28, from Devonshire, Bermuda won the 20th XTERRA World Championship off-road triathlon elite titles on an incredibly scenic day in Kapalua, Maui.
It’s the first XTERRA World Title for Middaugh after 15 attempts, and he becomes the first American to win Worlds since Michael Tobin back in 2000. For Duffy, the win marks a perfect season with five straight wins, her second XTERRA World Championship in a row, and 12th XTERRA major victory in her last 13 attempts since the start of 2014.
Middaugh and Duffy each received $20,000 for their respective victories. The total purse was $100,000, and the event was filmed for international television distribution.
More than 800 endurance athletes from 43 countries participated in the event, which started in the relatively calm waters of the Pacific Ocean at D.T. Fleming Beach, continued with a 20-mile mountain bike that traversed the West Maui Mountains, and finished with a grueling 6.5-mile trail run. There was more than 4,000-feet of combined climbing on the bike and run courses.

The Nissan Xterra is a compact SUV built on the Nissan F-Alpha platform. The Frontier-based vehicle is named after the XTERRA off-road triathlon race series that Nissan sponsored through the end of 2006.
The Xterra was introduced in North America in the 2000 model year and marketed with the slogan Everything you need, nothing you don't.
The Xterra was not Nissan's first compact SUV. Nissan in Japan had the Nissan Mistral, in Europe the Terrano a 2-door SUV sold from 1993 to 2006.
Three design cues remained through the vehicle's life, rear door handles, a raised rear roofline, and the hump-backed rear gate. The raised roof allows for stadium seating and the hump provides room for a first aid kit. The rear door handles are installed on the "C" pillar as a Nissan design tradition started with the 1986 Nissan Pathfinder. When the four-door Pathfinder was introduced, Nissan chose to conceal the door handles as a part of the "C" pillar trim to visually make it appear like a two-door truck with a camper shell, with conventional door handles on the front doors.

In this video, Charles give a tour of the 2015 Nissan Xterra Pro-4X model. This particular model features two toned all terrain wheels, built in roof wrack and flood lights. The integrated floodlights come with caps to keep them cover when not in use. Charles gives some ideas on different things you can use the integrated wrack for.
You'll notice that this model has no step bars for getting in and out. This is so that you'll have more ground clearance. This Xterra has 11.5 inches of clearance from the ground to the frame rails. This vehicle is one of the last traditional SUVs that is body on frame designed.
The 4 Liter V6 in this off road SUV gives it a lot of get up and go. And, you can feel it when you hit the gas peddle. For you off roading fanatics, this Xterra features a full locking rear differential.
Comfort and convenience features include heated seats, a 6.5 inch color monitor and navigation just to name a few.

The installation of this light-bar was actually pretty easy. Especially since the front of the Nissan Xterra has a little slot that is built almost perfectly for the lightbar.
The whole process took about 2 hours. Most of it was figuring out how to mount the bar and wire everything up. Make sure that when you wire the light-bar, you keep the wires off of anything hot inside the engine bay. They will melt.
