Eunhyuk was born Lee Hyuk-jae in Neunggok, Goyang, Gyeonggi. In elementary school he was a member of a dance group, 'SRD', which stood for song, rap and dance, with childhood friend Kim Junsu. In 1999 when he turned thirteen, together with Junsu he auditioned for SM Entertainment through the company's Starlight Casting System . Junsu was selected to sign a contract with the company soon after, but Eunhyuk failed the audition. He auditioned again the following year and was finally selected through showcasing his rapping and dancing abilities. Under SM Entertainment, Eunhyuk was trained in singing, dancing, acting, and had brief Mandarin Chinese language courses. In 2002 Eunhyuk, Kim Junsu, and another trainee Sungmin were placed in a project R&B group. A year later, the group along with three future members from TRAX (Jay Kim, No Minwoo, Kang Jungwoo) made a brief appearance in a show called Heejun vs. Kangta, Battle of the Century: Pop vs. Rock, in which Moon Hee-jun and Kangta individually taught them techniques on different types of singing. In 2003 the trio disbanded when Junsu went on to debuted as a member of TVXQ. Eunhyuk and Sungmin were then placed in another project group with ten other male trainees, Super Junior 05, the first generation of rotational boy band Super Junior.

Genres: Comedy,You tell me that you need to spend sometime alone
You tell me that you think it's best if I'd go home now
I get my coat from off the floor, I'm out the door
Walking home alone, my love has left
My head, my heart all torn apart
My mind's exploding
Crying my eyes out over you
It must be hard for you to believe that I might love you
Just try to understand I just want you to want me too
You made me fall in love again, you angel
How you take my breath away, I live for you
It must be hard for you to believe that I might love you anyway
Just try to understand I just wanted you to want me too
