Seein' Red

"Seein' Red" is a song by the San Diego-based rock band Unwritten Law, released as the second single from the band's 2002 album, Elva. It was written by singer Scott Russo and produced by Michael "Miguel" Happoldt. It became the highest-charting single of the band's career, holding the #1 spot on Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks chart for four weeks between May and June 2002.

Dustin Charles Lynch (born May 14, 1985) is an American singer and songwriter.

Musical career

Lynch moved to Nashville in 2003 to pursue a career in country music.

He signed to Broken Bow Records in late 2011, and he released his debut single "Cowboys and Angels" in January 2012. Lynch wrote the song with Josh Leo and Tim Nichols. That same month, Country Weekly began streaming his songs on its website. The album's second single, "She Cranks My Tractor", became his second top 20 hit in early 2013. It was followed by "Wild in Your Smile", which made top 30.

Lynch also co-wrote James Wesley's 2013 single "Thank a Farmer".

In early 2014, Lynch released his fourth single, "Where It's At (Yep, Yep)". It became his first number one on the Country Airplay chart in September 2014. The album's second single, "Hell of a Night", was released to country radio in November 2014. It reached at number one on the Country Airplay chart in September 2015. The album's third single, "Mind Reader" was released to country radio in September 28, 2015.

Grand Ole Opry

The Grand Ole Opry is a weekly country-music stage concert in Nashville, Tennessee, which was founded on November 28, 1925, by George D. Hay as a one-hour radio "barn dance" on WSM. Currently owned and operated by Opry Entertainment (a division of Ryman Hospitality Properties, Inc.), it is the longest-running radio broadcast in US history, albeit not the longest-running one on a radio network. Dedicated to honoring country music and its history, the Opry showcases a mix of legends and contemporary chart-toppers performing country, bluegrass, folk, gospel, and comedic performances and skits. Considered an American icon, it attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors from around the world and millions of radio and Internet listeners.

The Opry's current primary slogan is "The Show that Made Country Music Famous". Other slogans include "Home of American Music" and "Country’s Most Famous Stage".

In the 1930s the show began hiring professionals and expanded to four hours; and WSM, broadcasting by then with 50,000 watts, made the program a Saturday night musical tradition in nearly 30 states. In 1939, it debuted nationally on NBC Radio. The Opry moved to a permanent home, the Ryman Auditorium, in 1943. As it developed in importance, so did the city of Nashville, which became America's "country music capital". The Grand Ole Opry holds such significance in Nashville that its name is included on the city/county line signs on all major roadways. The signs read "Music City | Metropolitan Nashville Davidson County | Home of the Grand Ole Opry".

Unwritten Law is an American rock band formed in 1990 in Poway, California They have released seven full-length studio albums and have toured internationally, including performances on the Warped Tour. They are notable for their singles "Seein' Red" and "Save Me (Wake Up Call)," both of which entered the top 5 in the US Modern Rock charts. Their sixth studio album, Swan, was released March 29, 2011.

History

Formation and early years (1990-1996)

Unwritten Law formed in Poway, California in 1990. Original drummer Wade Youman generally takes credit for starting the band. The band was founded by Youman, vocalist Chris Mussey, guitarist Matt Rathje, and bassist Craig Winters. A number of players came and went before the lineup coalesced to include Scott Russo on vocals, Steve Morris and Rob Brewer on guitar, and John Bell on bass. They released their first cassette demo in 1992, followed by the 7" vinyl single Blurr in 1993. The band quickly established themselves in the prolific San Diego music scene of the early 1990s that also included groups such as Blink-182, Buck-O-Nine, Sprung Monkey, One by One, Drive Like Jehu, and Rocket from the Crypt.
