About UNDP in Botswana

United Nations Development Programme is the UN's global development network, advocating for change and connecting countries to knowledge, experience and resources to help people build a better life. We are on the ground in 177 countries (including Botswana), working with them on their own solutions to global and national development challenges. As they develop local capacity, they draw on the people of UNDP and our wide range of partners.

Our work in Botswana is currently informed by the UN in Botswana 2010-2014 Programme of Operation Plan (POP) which is aligned with the government’s priorities and long term aspirations for the country and its people as articulated in the tenth National Development Plan (NDP10) and Vision 2016. It constitutes the integrated Country Programme Action Plan of operations for the UN in Botswana.
