The legendary Narciso Yepes performs an 80 minute solo recital, plus 25 minutes of encores, on the ten-string guitar of his own conception, at the Teatro Real de Madrid, in 1979. This is without electronic amplification of the guitar, as Yepes always insisted, but with his improved sitting position and revolutionary right hand technique, which, together with his 10-string guitar's sympathetic resonance, optimize tone quality and projection. (The microphone seen is for the video's audio recording only, not for amplification.) As one reviewer wrote about another recital:
'Guitar concerts in Carnegie Hall can be a frustrating affair. Narciso Yepes brought his 10-string invention there last Thursday, and suddenly it was not a problem hearing that instrument in that space.
'His guitar fills the hall with sound. The musician who plucks it is one of the finest in the world today. The second half of the program was devoted entirely to 20th-century works, an intriguing survey of music - for an apparently limited instrument - that was at once engrossing yet challenging. Of greatest interest were Eduardo Sainz de la Maza's ''Laberinto,'' with its jazzy undercurrent, and Leonardo Balada's supremely virtuosic, exciting ''Analogias.''
'Mr. Yepes, who appears to be not much larger than his oversize instrument, is a selfless musician, putting the music before his personality in what could serve as the ideal of any performing artist but so rarely is. One left his recital stimulated and elated, with nary a thought as to the potential limitations of the instrument, dynamically or musically.'

Fernando Sor: 24 Etudes,
Fernando Sor (1778–1839) wrote many studies (etudes) for classical guitar. A virtuoso performer and composer, Fernando Sor was famed in his day and well remembered today. Sor studies vary greatly in their pedegogical use, some are exercises while others shy away from the etude aspect and are simply nice compositions. Sor studies may not be remembered for their compositional genius but they do require a special classical touch to bring out the musicality of the studies. I think that is the main reason they are heavily used in guitar pedagogy If the student does not play them musically then they are too light compositionally. On the flip side, some of them are in fact excellent pedagogical exercises with very specific technical aims.

Yepes is a villa (town) in the northern region of the province of Toledo, in the autonomous community of Castile-La Mancha, Spain.
Situated on the westernmost part of the comarca called La Mesa de Ocaña (the plateau of Ocaña), its limits are:
Yepes has the first documented human presence in a Celtiberian village, founded ca. 600 BC.
The former Hippo or Hippona of the Carpetanians, where the Celtiberians defeated the Roman troops of Quintius and Calpurnius, derives its current from the times of the Muslim rule, when it was called Hepes, which in turn would produce Hiepes, Iepes and finally Yepes. It is possible that Hepes be a mozarabic toponym.
During the reign of Alfonso VII, "Yepes and its castle" are ceded to the Concello (Council) of San Nicolás.
The plan was originally triangular, with the Church and the Archiepiscopal Palace at the sides, and an administrative building at the base. During the 16th century it served as a place for spectacles. Besides, testimonies of the time reveal that there was a good mesón at it.

Fernando Sor: 24 Etudes, Fernando Sor (1778–1839) wrote many studies (etudes) for classical guitar. A virtuoso performer and composer, Fernando Sor was famed in his day and well remembered today. Sor studies vary greatly in their pedegogical use, some are exercises while others shy away from the etude aspect and are simply nice compositions. Sor studies may not be remembered for their compositional genius but they do require a special classical touch to bring out the musicality of the studies. I think that is the main reason they are heavily used in guitar pedagogy If the student does not play them musically then they are too light compositionally. Fernando Sor (1778–1839) wrote many studies (etudes) for classical guitar. A virtuoso performer and composer, Fernando Sor was famed in his day and well remembered today. Sor studies vary greatly in their pedegogical use, some are exercises while others shy away from the etude aspect and are simply nice compositions. Sor studies may not be remembered for their compositional genius but they do require a special classical touch to bring out the musicality of the studies. I think that is the main reason they are heavily used in guitar pedagogy If the student does not play them musically then they are too light compositionally. On the flip side, some of them are in fact excellent pedagogical exercises with very specific technical aims.

Sebastián Yepes, quien recientemente presentó "Cuando no queda nada", segundo sencillo de su álbum "De lo oscuro a lo puro", estrena el videoclip de esta canción.
Para este video, grabado en abril en la ciudad de Bogotá, el cantante abrió hace un par de meses una inmensa convocatoria para que sus seguidores desde cualquier parte del mundo, enviaran videos que serían incluidos posteriormente en esta producción audiovisual.
El proyecto llamado "Queda en el video" se comunicó y ejecutó durante las tres semanas previas al rodaje del videoclip. A través de su página web y sus redes sociales, Twitter, Facebook y Youtube, Sebastián Yepes invitó a sus fans a ejecutar ciertas acciones que harían parte del desarrollo del video de "Cuando no queda nada". A su vez, creó una página en Facebook llamada Queda en el video, en donde el público ha podido dar seguimiento al desarrollo de esta campaña, pues en ésta se pueden apreciar los videos enviados al cantante y ahora el tan esperado videoclip.
La respuesta a esta convocatoria por parte de los fans de Sebastián Yepes fue más que satisfactoria. El cantautor recibió más de cien videos desde Ecuador, Perú, México, Argentina, Chile, España y por supuesto Colombia.
En el videoclip de "Cuando no queda nada", contrario al de "No me veré caer", la aparición del público no es de carne y hueso. Esta vez, el protagonismo de los seguidores de Sebastián Yepes se da de una manera virtual y totalmente interactiva con el artista. Como lo afirma él mismo: "En esta ocasión el espacio sideral no fue un obstáculo entre los fans y yo". Es así como los centenares de fans acompañan al artista con acciones que van desde un saludo hacia él, hasta la interpretación de un solo de guitarra y el coro de la canción.

Varanasi is a travel documentary made by hand held camera. An experience that is reflected through a camera that takes us to one of the most ancient and sacred cities in the world. The city in the past and in the present is an exceptional testimony to living traditions in religious faith, rituals and myriad festivals and ancient forms of worship and belief that are still practised in the varied expressions of music, dance and art forms, passing from one to other generations.
The camera is immersed in a context full of surprises where different characters of the city will transport us to the true Varanasi, a city of gods and rituals where the past is present.

Hello there! I am Miguel Yepes, I live in Medellin, Colombia. I love teaching Spanish for foreigners.

I was a teacher 10 years in EAFIT University in my city.
I have written six books including three on chess and one called Kindness Supreme
which I wrote about God´s kindness.
