Trotsky's 'Amalgams'
by Grover Furr
The Harvard Trotsky Archive was opened to researchers in 1980. In it, researchers found evidence that Leon Trotsky deliberately lied many times and about many people and events. Other evidence of Trotsky's lies comes from his own writings and in documents from former Soviet archives. Drawing upon primary sources from the Harvard Trotsky Archive and from former Soviet archives Grover Furr subjects the testimony of Moscow Trials defendants to a source-critical check and verification. The results of this research reveal much about Trotsky's conspiracies in the 1930s.

Classics in Activity Theory
Marxists Internet Archive Publications has published the first three volumes of Classics in Activity Theory, reprints of English translations first published in the 1970s, of the second generation of Soviet followers of Lev Vygotsky. Since the fall of the USSR, while remaining in the public domain, these works have become largely unavailable, yet there is vast research community across the world which builds on Vygotsky and Activity theory, particularly in education departments.

Through diligence and scholarship, Furr shows that everything we know about Soviet history is indelibly flawed as the result of Khrushchev's so-called Secret Speech.

One is Not Born a Personality
by Karl Levitin
One is Not Born A Personality: A Biographical History of Soviet Psychology was first published in 1980, just as a resurgence of interest in Vygotsky began in the late 1970s.
This book, although long out of print, is still widely cited by contemporary scholars interested in the development of the “cultural-historical” school of psychology.
Erythros Press and Media, LLC has brought the work back into print and included extra material.
