North Carolina and other states are mounting unprecedented attacks on LGBT people and we will not sit idly by. Elected leaders across the country have issued orders banning taxpayer-funded travel to North Carolina in wake of passage of the anti-LGBT HB2. Let's keep momentum going!

We urge each of you to participate in our ‪#‎WeAreAllNC‬ campaign by emailing elected leaders to ask them to issue similar bans. Get your elected leader’s email address and find a sample letter here to email directly: www.NCLRights.org/WeAreAllNC

"The North Carolina legislation is the most toxic and dangerous we have ever seen. It targets our entire community for outright attacks and discrimination and its impact will be felt far beyond North Carolina. Every LGBT person, ally and every organization committed to justice can and must respond in every way possible. Blog, tweet, organize, rally, engage, protest, fight back! The voice of every one of us can turn this back! Contact EqualityNC.org for what you can do to beat this back!"--NCLR Executive Director Kate Kendell

This is URGENT! And we need your help. One of the most horrific anti-transgender bills in the country will move before South Dakota Gov. Dennis Daugaard for consideration as early as tomorrow. HB 1008 forces transgender students to show a birth certificate or blood test results confirming their biological sex, prohibiting them from using restrooms consistent with their gender identity. Gov. Daugaard will have five business days to decide and we NEED your help to get him to veto the bill. Call him at 605.773.3212 to tell him to veto ‪#‎HB1008‬ NOW!

Please share and spread the word!
