Konya (Turkish pronunciation: [ˈkon.ja]; Greek: Ικόνιον Ikónion, Latin: Iconium) is a city in the Central Anatolia Region of Turkey. It is the seventh most populous city in Turkey. As of 2014, Konya has a population of 1,174,536. Konya is an economically and industrially developed city and the capital of Konya Province.
Konya was historically the capital of the Seljuq Sultanate of Rum and the Karamanids.
Konya, was known in classical antiquity and during the medieval period as Ἰκόνιον (Ikónion) in Greek (with regular Medieval Greek apheresis Kónio(n)) and as Iconium in Latin. This name is commonly explained as a derivation from εἰκών (icon), as an ancient Greek legend ascribed its name to the "eikon" (image), or the "gorgon's (Medusa's) head", with which Perseus vanquished the native population before founding the city. In some historic English texts, the city's name appears as Konia or Koniah.
Excavations have shown that the region was inhabited during the Late Copper Age, around 3000 BC. The city came under the influence of the Hittites around 1500 BC. These were overtaken by the Sea Peoples around 1200 BC.

Mutual Friends is a British comedy drama television series broadcast in six episodes on BBC One in 2008. The series starred Marc Warren, Alexander Armstrong, Keeley Hawes, Sarah Alexander, Claire Rushbrook, Emily Joyce, Naomi Bentley and Joshua Sarphie as a group of old friends whose lives are thrown into chaos when one of their group commits suicide.
Marc Warren depicts a terminally useless solicitor Martin, whose life as a lawyer, husband to Jen (Keeley Hawes) and father to Dan (Joshua Sarphie) is thrown into turmoil as a consequence of his friend's various mid-life crises, starting with the suicide of his best friend Karl, who was guilt-ridden following his affair with Jen. Martin's other best friend, the suave, unreliable chancer Patrick (Alexander Armstrong), throws the situation into more chaos.
Most of the show was filmed in Henley. Filming for the court scene in episode two was filmed in Bracknell in the summer of 2008 at Bracknell's police station.

A Tale of Two Cities (1859) is a novel by Charles Dickens, set in London and Paris before and during the French Revolution. The novel depicts the plight of the French peasantry demoralized by the French aristocracy in the years leading up to the revolution, the corresponding brutality demonstrated by the revolutionaries toward the former aristocrats in the early years of the revolution, and many unflattering social parallels with life in London during the same period. It follows the lives of several characters through these events. A Tale of Two Cities was published in weekly installments from April 1859 to November 1859 in Dickens's new literary periodical titled All the Year Round. All but three of Dickens's previous novels had appeared only as monthly installments.
Dickens's famous opening sentence introduces the universal approach of the book, the French Revolution, and the drama depicted within:
In 1775, a man flags down the nightly mail-coach on its route from London to Dover. The man is Jerry Cruncher, an employee of Tellson's Bank in London; he carries a message for Jarvis Lorry, a passenger and one of the bank's managers. Mr. Lorry sends Jerry back to deliver a cryptic response to the bank: "Recalled to Life." The message refers to Alexandre Manette, a French physician who has been released from the Bastille after an 18-year imprisonment. Once Mr. Lorry arrives in Dover, he meets with Dr. Manette's daughter Lucie and her governess, Miss Pross. Lucie has believed her father to be dead, and faints at the news that he is alive; Mr. Lorry takes her to France to reunite with him.
Gurdjieff already begins to answer the question for us: If the Sun neither lights nor heats, then what? . . . by saying that there proceed on the Earth like on that of all the other ordinary planets of our Great Universe those "kshtatsavakht," kldazacht," "tainolair," "paischakir," and other such phenomena, which are called "daylight," "darkness," "cold," "heat," and so on during what are called "Trogoautoegocratic processes" according to laws of world creation and maintenance. And so the answer to the question is in the "exchange of substances" or the "Reciprocal-feeding" of everything that exists and the purpose of this is thereby that the merciless Heropass might not have its maleficient effect on the Sun Absolute on which our ALL-GRACIOUS ENDLESS CREATOR ABOVE had and still has the chi...

One of the world's oldest settled places and located on the Silk Road, Konya is the largest city in Central Anatolia. http://blog.turkishairlines.com/
The Mevlâna Museum, which opened in 1927, is also known as the Green Dome or Green Mausoleum and is the former lodge of the Whirling Dervishes, a mystical Sufi Muslim group, and the site of the tomb of the founder of the Whirling Dervishes, Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi. He lived from 1207-1273 and was also a revered Muslim saint, mystic, and poet. Ince Minaret Medrese (literally Slender Minaret Medrese) was originally a 13th-century medrese or Madrasa which is an Islamic school or seminary, and now houses the Museum of Stone and Wood Art. The minaret was damaged by lightning in 1901, and was restored in 1956.
For people living in more modern cities, Konya is a bit conservative. This city is one of the oldest in the world, with settlements dating back 5000 years. And it's a good place to start if you're looking for Turkey in the extreme. just a quick trip through my home in konya
Suddenly
Things become unsound
Stumbling
On the shaky ground
Given arrows to shoot tornados down
Shoot them down
To the ground
Saw a falling leaf
Good luck - jump to grab
Much to our surprise
A butterfly
And it's sunkeness
In duration
In duration
In our lives
Inside oursleves
A hidden sun
That burns and burns
Never does any harm to anyone
Shivering
Madly in the dark
Like an animal
Abandoned in the car park
Then she held me
And then she showed me
The beauty of
The human heart
Inside ourselves
A hidden sun
That burns and burns
Never does any harm to anyone
A hidden sun
That burns and burns
But never does any harm to anyone
Anyone
Oooh anyone
Hidden sun (sun)
Hidden sun
Oooh (sun)
(sun)
(sun)
