Sailboat

A sailboat or sailing boat is a boat propelled partly or entirely by sails smaller than a sailing ship. Distinctions in what constitutes a sailing boat and ship vary by region and maritime culture.

Types

Although sailboat terminology has varied across history, many terms have specific meanings in the context of modern yachting. A great number of sailboat-types may be distinguished by size, hull configuration, keel type, purpose, number and configuration of masts, and sail plan.

Cutter

The cutter is similar to a sloop with a single mast and mainsail, but generally carries the mast further aft to allow for a jib and staysail to be attached to the head stay and inner forestay, respectively. Once a common racing configuration, today it gives versatility to cruising boats, especially in allowing when a small staysail to be flown from the inner stay in high winds.

Catboat

A catboat has a single mast mounted far forward and does not carry a jib. Most modern designs have only one sail, the mainsail; however the traditional catboat could carry multiple sails from the gaff rig.

Only Built 4 Cuban Linx... Pt. II

Only Built 4 Cuban Linx... Pt. II is the fourth studio album by American hip hop recording artist and Wu-Tang Clan-member Raekwon, released September 8, 2009, on Ice H2O/EMI Records in the United States. The album experienced numerous delays to its release due to Raekwon's approach of continual re-writing and shaping, and distribution issues with his record labels. Serving as the sequel to his critically acclaimed debut album Only Built 4 Cuban Linx... (1995), Pt. II maintains many of the topics and themes covered on its predecessor, and features guest appearances from several Wu-Tang members, as well as Busta Rhymes, Jadakiss and Beanie Sigel, among others.

The album debuted at number four on the Billboard 200 and at number two on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, while selling near 68,000 copies in its first week. Upon its release, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx... Pt. II received widespread acclaim from music critics, based on an aggregate score of 88/100 from Metacritic, indicating "universal acclaim", and is ranked number 45 on the site's list of best-reviewed albums.Only Built 4 Cuban Linx… Pt. II was included on several publications' year-end album lists, including Rolling Stone, which ranked it the twenty-fifth best album of 2009, and Time, which named it seventh-best.

Catalina (actress)

Catalina (born July 1, 1978) is an American former pornographic actress.

Early life

Catalina was born in California. She is of Mexican descent. She planned on becoming an English teacher and attended California State University, Northridge for four years but did not graduate.

Career

Catalina began stripping at 18 years old and later began nude modeling after answering a newspaper ad for Jim South's World Modeling Talent Agency. She entered the adult film industry in 2000 at the age of 22 and appeared in nearly 300 films.

Catalina's first scene was in Max Extreme 16 with Max Hardcore, her frequent co-star and boyfriend at the time. She appeared in Pure Max 16, Fists of Fury 3, Extreme Schoolgirls 6, and Golden Guzzlers 6, four of the films that were targeted during Max Hardcore's obscenity trial. Her website, www.catalinaxxx.com, was forfeited to the U.S. Government as a result of Max Hardcore's conviction.

Catalina formerly hosted a segment called Porn Star 101 on the now defunct adult radio station KSEX radio. The segment was aimed towards female pornographic actresses, giving them tips on how to succeed in the porn industry.

Catalina (novel)

Catalina is a novel written by W. Somerset Maugham and first published by Heinemann in 1948. Set in Spain during the Inquisition the novel is a satire on the power of the church. It was Maugham’s last published novel.

Plot

Catalina is a crippled girl, supposedly cured by divine intervention after witnessing a vision of the Virgin Mary. As a result of this, she is pressured into becoming a nun in a Carmelite convent. The Bishop of Segovia, himself undergoing a crisis of faith, becomes involved in the debate about the debt owed to god by Catalina for her cure, but the girl resists all attempts to control her life, determined to marry the man she loves. She joins a troupe of strolling players and becomes the most famous actress in all of Spain.

Karma (clothing)

Karma is a popular Pakistani fashion label started by designers Kamiar Rokni and Maheen Ali in 2001. Karma is recognized as one of the rare Pakistani labels that has introduced Western-style garments, such as cocktail dresses and evening gowns, to the Pakistan.

Karma currently operates three lines of clothing: formal, bridal, and ready-to-wear. Karma Couture, the company's first line, is a made-to-order formal clothing label, with prices starting from Rs. 18,000 (approx. $300 USD). Karma Wedding is the label's bridal line, starting at Rs. 50,000 (approx. $800 USD). Karma Pink is the label's newest line, offering ready-to-wear garments ranging from Rs. 2000 to Rs. 15,000 (approx. $30 to $250 USD). Karma plans to introduce a Karma Accessories line in 2006, offering custom jewellery, bags, shoes and other accessory products.

The company's management duties were taken over in 2003 by Pakistani businessman Saad Ali (Maheen Ali's husband) who has since been the label's CEO. Karma currently employs over 200 people, and is based in Lahore, Pakistan.

Ina, Kapatid, Anak

Ina, Kapatid, Anak (Lit: Mother, Sibling, Child / English: Her Mother's Daughter) is a 2012 Philippine family drama television series directed by Don M. Cuaresma and Jojo A. Saguin, starring Kim Chiu and Maja Salvador, together with an ensemble cast. The series was aired on ABS-CBN and worldwide on The Filipino Channel from October 8, 2012 to June 14, 2013, replacing Lorenzo's Time. The show is now airing in Tanzania on Star TV and Kenya on KTN in Africa.

The drama follows the lives of Celyn (Kim Chiu), Margaux (Maja Salvador), Liam (Xian Lim), and Ethan (Enchong Dee) and their struggles for power, acceptance, family and love.

The show was extended due to success in viewership ratings. The second season aired on January 14, 2013 with the episode featuring the grand revelation of Celyn being the daughter of Julio and Beatriz, while the third and final season aired on March 7, 2013 with the series opened a new chapter with a time skip focusing on the characters' young-adult stage and business rivalry.

Reddit

Reddit (/ˈrɛdɪt/) is an entertainment, social news networking service, and news website where registered community members can submit content, such as text posts or direct links, making it essentially an online bulletin board system. Registered users can then vote submissions up or down to organize the posts and determine their position on the site's pages. Content entries are organized by areas of interest called "subreddits". The subreddit topics include news, gaming, movies, music, books, fitness, food, and photosharing, among many others. As of 2015, the website had 542 million monthly visitors (234 million unique users), ranking 14th most visited web-site in US and 36th in the world. Across 2015, Reddit saw 82.54 billion pageviews, 73.15 million submissions, 725.85 million comments, and 6.89 billion upvotes from its users.

Reddit was founded by University of Virginia roommates Steve Huffman and Alexis Ohanian in 2005. Condé Nast Publications acquired the site in October 2006. Reddit became a direct subsidiary of Condé Nast's parent company, Advance Publications, in September 2011. As of August 2012, Reddit operates as an independent entity, although Advance is still its largest shareholder. Reddit is based in San Francisco, California. In October 2014 Reddit raised $50 million in a funding round led by Sam Altman and including investors Marc Andreessen, Peter Thiel, Ron Conway, Snoop Dogg and Jared Leto. Their investment saw the company valued at $500 million.
