I especially draw your attention to let the blessings of Ramadan flow through you and in your person for good because true bounty is that which remains with one forever. True spiritual relish is that which endures and this is the reason that heaven is declared to be eternal. Prophets never enter a phase of losing to darkness the light granted to them in the love of God. Their light is given an enduring power and what will be the heaven. After Ramadan people are returning back to negligence and say they do so to relieve the stress of Ramadan although the stress of Ramadan is relieved through nearness to God. Virtue does not die or remain as a mere memory but carries the potential to spread and flourish and carries the ability to benefit others. There is an incident mentioned in the Prophetic Hadith when 3 travellers got stuck in a cave and were granted release from their troubles due to their collective acts of virtue[1]. To abstain from acting wrongfully is also a virtue but if better values do not replace it then that virtue is no longer a virtue. Eradication of evil in itself is nothing unless its natural consequence is one which carries a positive result. The spiritual strength one is granted through shunning everything bad moves one towards welcoming righteousness and one should derive benefit therefrom. The virtues of the righteous are not confined to their own beings but serve instead as a salvation for the world. In this relation the Holy Prophet ﷺ was the light who illuminated the whole world. The Promised Messiah (peace be upon him) writes that reception of the bounty of Divine light is relative to congruity. Each individual has to some extent been granted a natural luminosity and if one really intends to join it with the Divine light to the extent to which they have been granted it then Allah Almighty would illumine him. Effort is important for this as is stated in 'The Holy Quran' that: O mankind! Thou art verily striving towards thy Lord with a laborious toil so thou shalt meet Him. ('The Holy Quran'. al-Inshiqaq [The Splitting]: 6). There is yet time to take hold of whatever is possible of the passing Ramadan. If you cannot Control your anger any more than you could before Ramadan, if you have not achieved greater power over your personal desires, if you do not find as much pleasure in good deeds that it enables you to wish to do even more and earn the good you have carried forth, these are the things thinking about which you will become like a merchant who analyses his loss and gain every night. I do not wish that this is a Community of the negligent: because it is crucial for a summoner to Allah to be a radiant sun. Appear before the world as a bright and illuminating being so as to bear something of the radiance of the sun[2] that was the Holy Prophet ﷺ. If you ask for the light of Muhammad the Messenger of Allah through love and affection and espouse it then this light is capable of growing and spreading out. When such summoners unto Allah who proceed accompanied by an illuminating light after having received the fruits of their efforts they also bear a part of that light themselves.
