Before Rob Ford was secretly recorded smoking crack while he held office as the Mayor of Toronto.
Before Rob Ford was embarrassed on Jimmy Kimmel Live and went on an epic coffee run with DeadMouse.
Before Rob Ford became the main subject of a massive investigation by Toronto Police, linking him to the notorious Street gang, The Bloods.
Before Rob Ford ended up taking a leave of absence as mayor to deal with his substance abuse problems.
Rob Ford had a pretty good upbringing. The Son of an extremely successful entrepreneur and a stay at home mom. The youngest of 4 children, Rob Ford had an intense passion for Football early on in his life and with his Father’s blessing and huge wad of cash, was able to attend some of the greatest football camps in the world.
Rob ran for a seat in Toronto city Council in the year 2000, and became the Mayor of Toronto in 2010. In 2013 he caught the attention of the world, when rumors of the existence of a video, containing Rob Ford smoking crack cocaine came to light. After later confirming that he did indeed smoke crack, and stepped down from office in 2014 to get help for his drinking and crack smoking problem, Rob was diagnosed with liposarcoma, one of the rarest types of cancer known to man. He battled the disease bravely, opting to stay in politics as a city councilor, working until his final days.

Robert Bruce "Rob" Ford (born May 28, 1969) is a Canadian politician and businessman. He is the 64th and current Mayor of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He was first elected to city council in the 2000 Toronto municipal election, and was re-elected to his council seat in 2003 and again in 2006. Ford was elected Mayor in the 2010 mayoral election, and took office on December 1 of that year. Ford's father Doug Ford, Sr. was also a politician and his brother Doug is a Toronto city councillor.
Born in Etobicoke, Ford is the youngest of four children of Diane and Doug Ford, Sr.. Ford Sr. was the founder of DECO Labels and Tags, which makes pressure-sensitive labels for plastic-wrapped grocery products at an estimated $100 million in annual sales. Ford Sr. later became a Member of the Ontario Legislature in the Progressive Conservative government of Mike Harris. Not long after Rob Ford's birth in 1969, the success of the family business allowed the family to build a six-bedroom home in Etobicoke, which has a full-sized swimming pool and gardens that can host nearly a thousand visitors.

Justin Pierre James Trudeau, MP (born December 25, 1971) is a Canadian politician. He has represented the Montreal electoral division of Papineau in the Canadian House of Commons since 2008 as a member of the Liberal Party and currently serves as the party's critic for youth, post-secondary education, and amateur sport.
Trudeau is the eldest son of the late former Canadian prime minister Pierre Trudeau and Margaret Sinclair Trudeau Kemper. His maternal grandfather, James Sinclair, was also a federal cabinet minister.
Trudeau was born on December 25, 1971, in Ottawa, Ontario. He was only the second child in Canadian history to be born when one of his parents was prime minister; the first was John A. Macdonald's youngest daughter Margaret Mary Macdonald, and Trudeau's younger brothers Alexandre (Sacha) (born December 25, 1973) and Michel (1975–98) were the third and fourth, respectively. Pierre and Margaret Trudeau separated in 1977, when Justin was six years old, and Pierre retired as prime minister in 1984. Of his mother and father's marriage, Trudeau said in 2009, "They loved each other incredibly, passionately, completely. But there was 30 years between them and my mom never was an equal partner in what encompassed my father's life, his duty, his country."

After later confirming that he did indeed smoke crack, and stepped down from office in 2014 to get help for his drinking and crack smoking problem, Rob was diagnosed with liposarcoma, one of the rarest types of cancer known to man. He battled the disease bravely, opting to stay in politics as a city councilor, working until his final days.

Toronto Mayor Rob Ford's jaw dropping use of explicit language on live television to deny another allegation against him was once again a heaven-sent gift to late night comics who can't seem to get enough of the ongoing saga. "God bless Canada, what a gift the Canadians have given us," Tonight Show host Jay Leno gleefully said Thursday night in his monologue as he joked that Ford's desire to run for re-election despite his admission of drug use and drinking could just be a "pipe dream."
The latest trigger for the late shows was Ford's crude comment Thursday in response to court documents that contained allegations from former staff that he once told a female aide he was going to have oral sex with her. The Daily Show's Jon Stewart devoted about six-and-a-half minutes, replaying Ford's video tirade in its entirety.
"All of this, the allegations, the intoxicated rant tapes, the crack smoking he believes is excused somehow by his rampant alcoholism, all of this pales in comparison to this next moment," Stewart said as he set up the latest Ford moment.
"Let that be your last statement, throw down the mic, make that your last sentence of your entire career in public service because that is what we call in my business a closer," an incredulous Stewart said after showing the video.
"Kind of makes you nostalgic for the crack now, doesn't it Toronto," Stephen Colbert of The Colbert Report joked about Ford's denial of not only the alleged sexual comment.
Ford's tirade also included angry denials at other allegations contained in the court documents, which referred to police interviews of the mayor's former staff and a waiter at a restaurant who said he suspected the mayor and a woman were snorting cocaine in a backroom. Another allegation was that the mayor was seen with a woman believed to be a prostitute, something Ford also denied and indicated he would be taking legal action against his accusers.
"This has everything you want," joked Late Show host David Letterman.
"The city council was grilling the guy, it turned out that at one point he had hookers in the mayor's office...boy I did not see that coming," said Letterman, who devoted his iconic Top Ten List to Ford's pregnant pause this week in response to a question from a council member on whether he purchased illegal drugs.
Ford's foibles have been a staple for late night hosts ever since word first surface of a video that appeared to show the mayor smoking crack, something he initially denied but later admitted he has done.

NOVEMBER 7, 2013 - 'Robbie's not a drug addict': sister, mother defend Mayor Rob Ford ---- (CTV) Rob Ford's mother and sister say the mayor's drug and alcohol use is "not acceptable behaviour," but insisted that he's not an addict and will survive the scandal that's making international headlines. "Robbie's not a drug addict," the mayor's sister, Kathy Ford, told CP24's Stephen LeDrew Thursday in an interview at her mother Diane Ford's Etobicoke home.
"I know because I'm a former addict -- or an addict if you'd want to say," she said, adding that the mayor "couldn't function" if he were addicted.
"If you want to consider binge drinking once every three months and you get totally plastered, which he just makes a fool out of himself...fine," Kathy said.

She said her brother "does not drink every night," but when he does consume alcohol, he goes "full tilt."
Ford's mother and sister were speaking out for the first time since the mayor admitted to smoking crack cocaine in a "drunken stupor" about a year ago.
On Thursday, a video showing an inebriated Ford swearing and talking about killing someone was posted by The Toronto Star. Ford told reporters that he was "extremely inebriated" at the time.
"It's not acceptable behaviour. He's the mayor of the city," his mother told CP24.
Later in the interview, Diane Ford said her son does have a problem -- but not a drug problem.
"He's got a weight problem," she said, adding that the mayor's size affects his demeanour.
"He's got a huge weight problem and he knows that. And I think that is the first thing he has to attack."
Diane Ford said she held a family meeting at her home last week, after Toronto Police Chief Bill Blair told reporters that police have recovered a video allegedly showing the mayor smoking crack.
The existence of that video was first reported by The Toronto Star and U.S. website Gawker in May.
"He talked, we listened. I talked, they listened," Diane said of the family meeting.
"And we all had our say. It was a real outpouring of feelings."
Diane said she didn't tell her son to "shape up or ship out," but she told him to get a driver, do something about his weight, get an alcohol detector in his car and watch the company he's keeping.
She also told Ford to see a counsellor or a psychologist to get help.
"I think he will do that, absolutely he will," she said.
"If he was really, really in dire straits...I would be the first one, I'd put him in my car and I would be taking him...He isn't there."
Diane also said Ford's accomplishments have been overlooked in the wake of the ongoing scandal.
"It's just so hurtful to the family and it's just so hurtful to me as a mother."
She said everyone knows that Ford has hurt himself, and that he's just human -- "a little too human.
"But there's nothing that he can't recover from."

February 25, 2014 Rob Ford tells NBC host Matt Lauer he 'experimented' with drugs while he was mayor.
Rob Ford's second round with NBC's The Today Show host Matt Lauer was a lot easier on the mayor than the first.
When Lauer first spoke to Ford last November, he had a combative interview with the mayor that coincided with city council voted to strip Ford of many of his powers over his crack cocaine admission. Ford promised Lauer that he would see real change in six months, so the Today host checked in at the three-month point Tuesday morning, asking if the mayor was still using illegal drugs.
"I don't use illegal drugs. I experimented with them, probably a year ago," Ford, 44, said with a laugh. "I don't use drugs and we're in great shape. Right after this interview I'm going to hit the gym."
In the time between the two Lauer interviews, Ford made international headlines for an inebriated, profanity-laced rant about Toronto Police Chief Bill Blair in an Etobicoke restaurant and was spotted partying in a British Columbia bar, shortly after he was ticketed for jaywalking. Ford was also seen in a Junction-area bar late on a weekday in February and called in sick to city hall the next day.
"Are you still drinking heavily on occasion, Mr. Mayor?" Lauer asked.
"No, not at all," Ford replied. "Have I had a drink? Yes, I have, but not to the point of some of the episodes before. That's past me and we're moving on."

When Lauer first spoke to Ford last November, he had a combative interview with the mayor that coincided with city council voted to strip Ford of many of his powers over his crack cocaine admission. Ford promised Lauer that he would see real change in six months, so the Today host checked in at the three-month point Tuesday morning, asking if the mayor was still using illegal drugs.
"I don't use illegal drugs. I experimented with them, probably a year ago," Ford, 44, said with a laugh. "I don't use drugs and we're in great shape. Right after this interview I'm going to hit the gym."
In the time between the two Lauer interviews, Ford made international headlines for an inebriated, profanity-laced rant about Toronto Police Chief Bill Blair in an Etobicoke restaurant and was spotted partying in a British Columbia bar, shortly after he was ticketed for jaywalking. Ford was also seen in a Junction-area bar late on a weekday in February and called in sick to city hall the next day.
"Are you still drinking heavily on occasion, Mr. Mayor?" Lauer asked.
"No, not at all," Ford replied. "Have I had a drink? Yes, I have, but not to the point of some of the episodes before. That's past me and we're moving on."

Rob Ford was a caring man, who obviously had a sensitive heart, who hid it well when stalked and lied about, but I honestly believed this cruel treatment did in part lead to some of the addiction taking hold of him ...
