I have never done this before, but it was my attempt to try to get you hooked on Roo Panes. I believe him terribly unrecognized, and I noticed the first time I had this posted, that it did not garner too much attention. So, anyway, I decided to put some of the "Catchier" songs near the front, as the album originally starts with some of the slower, more somber ones. I personally love all the songs, and think the original track listing is just fine, and as I said, this is just an attempt to get you (potentially) interested, and no intended offence to the original packaged deal. Sorry if you already know the album and think this a butcher job. Roo Panes is an Indie folk singer from Wimborne, Dorset, United Kingdom. "Little Giant" is his debut album. If you are a fan of artists such as Bon Iver, Novo Amor ( maybe James Vincent Mcmorrow) , then Roo Panes music may just be for you. I hope that you give this gorgeous album a chance, and that you enjoy it. The instruments off it are amazingly varied throughout (I get an almost "worldly" feel from the albums sound) and the lyrics it showcases are thoughtful , inspiring, and delicately constructed. However, Roo Panes indescribably beautiful voice is always the highlight for me , and I think the artist has a natural ability to make the spirit soar with his incredible vocal range. I believe, as many of the titles to the tracks might suggest, that the big theme(s) on this album would ultimately be one of home and of belonging, but I don't believe this to be in any way a pigeonholed concept , and the lyrics, of course, expand into various other realms of thought as well. There is , to me, also the unifying theme of love, as both a fragile and potentially destructive concept , and I think the album touches upon what we give to relationships as well as what we take from them. The theme of running towards something appealing, but uncertain and cloudy , would also seem to be a topic on the album. Letting ones dreams and heart be the guide toward direction (Home).
