Vulture

Vulture is the name given to two groups of scavenging birds of prey: the New World vultures, including the Californian and Andean condors; and the Old World vultures, including the birds that are seen scavenging on carcasses of dead animals on African plains. Research has shown that some traditional Old World vultures (including the bearded vulture) are not closely related to the others, which is why the vultures are to be subdivided into three taxa rather than two. New World vultures are found in North and South America; Old World vultures are found in Europe, Africa and Asia, meaning that between the two groups, vultures are found on every continent except Australia and Antarctica.

A particular characteristic of many vultures is a bald head, devoid of normal feathers. Although it has been historically believed to help keep the head clean when feeding, research has shown that the bare skin may play an important role in thermoregulation. Vultures have been observed to hunch their bodies and tuck in their heads in the cold, and open their wings and stretch their necks in the heat.

Andrew Wade

Andrew Robert Wade (born August 4, 1984) is an American recording engineer and music producer.

Early years and A Wish for Marilynne (2002–2006)

I wanted a name to go with our style but I didn’t want people to hear the name and say “Oh they’re Christian they’re no good” so I came up with a somewhat neutral name that matched our style.

In August 2002, Wade started playing guitar and singing lead vocals in Christian rock/emo band A Wish for Marilynne. By September 2003, the band had written seven songs, three of which made it on to a demo tape, that was recorded four months prior. In an interview with the Ocala Star-Banner the band said that once they had ten songs they were going to start recording, and Wade said "it's (going to) be a lot better than the demo." By this point, the group had performed a total of twelve shows. The band started recording their album,Poetic Chaos, at Wade's The Wade Studio on May 10, 2004, with a projected release date of June.

In June, the band were booking dates for a summer tour with bands A Midnight and May and There for Tomorrow. The band performed at Easy Street in Ocala, Florida on June 3 with bands Starting Over and A Day to Remember, and at The Masquerade in Ocala, Florida on June 20 with bands Inkblot (Cornerstone '04), Vindicated Youth, and Knox Overstreet. In August, the band said on their website that the album would "be ready by the end of summer". Song songs were uploaded to the band's PureVolume account. In December, the band announced recording had finished and release was soon to follow. In February 2005, the band announced that the album, Poetic Chaos, was to be released on March 18. A release show was held Central Christian Church on the same day, featuring bands There For Tomorrow, A Day to Remember, and Starting Over. Song previews were also made available on the band's MySpace account. In early 2006, the band announced they were no longer together.

Vultures (EP)

Vultures is the third extended play from Disciple. They released the EP on September 25, 2015, independently.

Critical reception

Awarding the EP four and a half stars for New Release Today, Mary Nikkel states, "Vultures is set apart from the spiritually empowering fight songs found on Attack by its brooding edge, drawing out the midnights of the soul in order to declare the presence of Christ's grace in even the darkest moments." Christopher Smith, giving the EP four stars at Jesus Freak Hideout, writes, "Like Attack, all the elements that make a high caliber rock album are present on Vultures." Rating the EP a 4.8 out of five from The Christian Beat, Chris Major says, "Vultures is as well-produced as any other Disciple record and perfectly complements their iconic collection."

List of Crash Bandicoot series characters

Crash Bandicoot is a series of platform video games published by Activision. The series was formerly developed by Naughty Dog from 1996 to 1999, and by Traveller's Tales, Eurocom and Vicarious Visions from 2000 to 2004. The series features a large cast of distinctively quirky characters designed by numerous different artists, the most notable of which include Charles Zembillas and Joe Pearson. In addition, it features an all-star cast of veteran voice actors.

The series centers on the conflicts between a mutated bandicoot named Crash Bandicoot and his creator, Doctor Neo Cortex. Crash acts as the main playable character of the series, though other characters have had occasional player access, most notable Coco Bandicoot and Doctor Neo Cortex, as well as Crunch Bandicoot. Aku Aku

Aku Aku, also known as Holiugd, is the guardian of the Wumpa Islands and the father figure of Crash Bandicoot and his friends. Aku Aku is the spirit of an ancient witch doctor encased in a floating, wooden mask. During Crash's missions to stop Doctor Cortex, he scattered copies of himself throughout the travels in an effort to aid him in his mission. Whenever Crash possesses an Aku Aku mask, he will be shielded from one enemy attack or contact. Collecting three Aku Aku masks gives Crash temporary invulnerability from all minor dangers, but does not protect from falling down holes. In his English speaking appearances, he is voiced by Mel Winkler up to Crash Twinsanity, and Greg Eagles in Crash of the Titans and Crash: Mind over Mutant. In the Japanese versions of his speaking appearances, he is voiced by Kenichi Ogata up to Crash Twinsanity.
