Old or OLD may refer to:
A car is a wheeled, self-powered motor vehicle used for transportation and a product of the automotive industry. Most definitions of the term specify that cars are designed to run primarily on roads, to have seating for one to eight people, to typically have four wheels with tyres, and to be constructed principally for the transport of people rather than goods. The year 1886 is regarded as the birth year of the modern car. In that year, German inventor Karl Benz built the Benz Patent-Motorwagen. Cars did not become widely available until the early 20th century. One of the first cars that was accessible to the masses was the 1908 Model T, an American car manufactured by the Ford Motor Company. Cars were rapidly adopted in the United States of America, where they replaced animal-drawn carriages and carts, but took much longer to be accepted in Western Europe and other parts of the world.
Cars are equipped with controls used for driving, parking, passenger comfort and safety, and controlling a variety of lights. Over the decades, additional features and controls have been added to vehicles, making them progressively more complex. Examples include rear reversing cameras, air conditioning, navigation systems, and in car entertainment. Most cars in use in the 2010s are propelled by an internal combustion engine, fueled by deflagration of gasoline (also known as petrol) or diesel. Both fuels cause air pollution and are also blamed for contributing to climate change and global warming. Vehicles using alternative fuels such as ethanol flexible-fuel vehicles and natural gas vehicles are also gaining popularity in some countries. Electric cars, which were invented early in the history of the car, began to become commercially available in 2008.
Polar may refer to:
The polar bear (Ursus maritimus) is a carnivorous bear whose native range lies largely within the Arctic Circle, encompassing the Arctic Ocean, its surrounding seas and surrounding land masses. It is a large bear, approximately the same size as the omnivorous Kodiak bear (Ursus arctos middendorffi). A boar (adult male) weighs around 350–700 kg (772–1,543 lb), while a sow (adult female) is about half that size. Although it is the sister species of the brown bear, it has evolved to occupy a narrower ecological niche, with many body characteristics adapted for cold temperatures, for moving across snow, ice, and open water, and for hunting seals, which make up most of its diet. Although most polar bears are born on land, they spend most of their time on the sea ice. Their scientific name means "maritime bear", and derives from this fact. Polar bears hunt their preferred food of seals from the edge of sea ice, often living off fat reserves when no sea ice is present. Because of their dependence on the sea ice, polar bears are classified as marine mammals.

Yes, yes I know... Another build and I still have so many unfinished. What can I say? This comes just in time for the Styrene Syndicates 48 hour build off. While I didn't formally announce my entry into the build (Why would I, I never finish anything on time) I did start this on Friday night and finished Sunday in the AM. I'm quite happy to have been able to do it.
In December 2011 a three man team will set out in one of our Arctic Trucks built vehicles with the aim of beating the old Guinness World Record set in 2005 going from Patriot Hills to South Pole in under 3 days with an average speed of nearly 16km/h to mark the 100 years anniversary of the first successful attempt by Roald Amundsen. The challenge is to improve the current Guinness World Record, driving from Patriot Hills on the Antarctica coast to the South Pole, over 1100 km distance each way The vehicle used for this attempt is an AT44 built on Toyota Tacoma with a unique styling by Ian Nisbett Design. Part one of three. In one of their most ambitious challenges, Jeremy, James and Richard attempt to race from Northern Canada to the North Pole, a 450-mile journey. The terrain inbetween is some of the toughest on earth, composed of mountains and jagged sea ice. While Jeremy and James drive in the comfort of a specially adapted pick up truck, Richard travels on a sled pulled by a team of ten huskies. Foggy New Years Day Ride. Taking out the old Harley to start the year off right.
I've joined the Polar Plus Charge Network Subscription and over the coming months will see if (financially at least) it's worth subscribing to. I'll also start my points accumulation towards the 7 day Polar Experience. This will be followed up in the coming months as well.

The W222 has a higher quality interior than the W221, but it really feels like the same old car with some cosmetic upgrades. The Twin Turbo V8, for example, is basically a carryover. Some older drivers may be polarized by the heavily bolstered seats. The rear seat legroom also seems to have diminished a bit. Acceleration is swift for such a large vehicle (over 2 tons). It's a lot like driving a full sized SUV, minus the ground height. Still, nothing ground breaking unless you upgrade to the ridiculously expensive S63 or S65 which now come standard with 4-matic. Because it is the newest on the block, it's easily more featured than the Audi A8, Jaguar XJ-L and BMW7. The XJ-L has more vivacious charm, but the W222 has more interior space and tech appeal. The Audi A8's front seats might f...
