Talk 1 from the Immerse 2015 leaders conference

On the 25th-28th May 2015, sixty five pastors, pastors wives, and church leaders met in Stanford for the annual Immerse Conference. We had churches represented from all over the country. This years focus was on the five-fold ministry of Ephesians 4:11-13; “So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.”
Through the format of interviews, we looked at how the church is best equipped when each local church is led by a team individuals who carry the five fold gift set (Apostle; Prophet; Evangelist; Pastor & Teacher). We had a very powerful time together. The afternoons were spent ministering in prayer for deliverance and prophecy into each others lives. By the end of our time in Stanford, we all left knowing that God had done something very significant in our lives.

Immerse represents a collection of leaders and churches that are moving forward together in the life that comes from the Holy Spirit. As we move forward together, we hope to equip, empower and encourage church leaders as they journey with God, experiencing life with Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit.
We recognise that kingdom growth of this kind comes through fellowship together as we build relationships and walk together into God’s plans for His church in this day. We believe so strongly that this journey in Spirit-filled living cannot be done alone that we seek to facilitate times where we can be refreshed through the varied gifts that God has given into His church, both for leaders and for churches that are able to stand together.

Bruce was born in South Africa, and trained as a Chemical Engineer. He was ordained in London Diocese in 1983, and was Team Rector of the Roxeth Team Ministry from 1990 to 2003. He served on the New Wine Leadership team from 1997 to 2011, overseeing the development of its English and international networks. In 2007 he moved to South Wales and now is part of the management team in New Wine Cymru, working alongside Julian Richards in the development of its welsh networks.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) A Florida jury sided with ex-pro wrestler Hulk Hogan on Friday and awarded him $115 million in his sex tape lawsuit against Gawker Media. The jurors reached the decision Friday evening, less than six hours after they began deliberations. The trial lasted two weeks, and Hogan wept as the verdict was read.
