IF Ready

Idrettsforeningen Ready is a sports club in Vestre Aker, Oslo, Norway. The club was established on June 14, 1907 by Aage Blom Lorentzen.

The football club play their home games at Gressbanen in Oslo. Gressbanen was the national arena for the Norwegian national football team before Ullevaal was built in 1928. Former Norwegian international Dan Eggen has played for Ready.

Ready's elite bandy team started playing in the Norwegian Bandy Premier League 2004–05 and has played there ever since. The club has 14 Norwegian championships in this sport, the last one in 2015, after a long wait because the 13th championship came as far back as in 1926.

The club's female bandy team has five international players for Norway.

Ski jumper Jon Aaraas is a member of the club.

Ready (B.o.B song)

"Ready" is a song by American hip hop recording artist B.o.B. It was released on September 10, 2013, as the third single from his third studio album, Underground Luxury (2013). The song, produced by American record producer Noel "Detail" Fisher, features a guest appearance from fellow American rapper Future.

Background

In an interview with Rolling Stone, B.o.B spoke on why he decided to release "Ready" as the album's third single, saying: "I feel like it's the season where everybody's going back to school and football is back in season, which is one of my favorite sports, so I just felt like it was a great song for the time. Then me and Future, we're both from the east side [of Atlanta] so it felt like a real necessary move to make. What Future brings to the song is just crazy. Future came up with the hook and brought it to me first. I heard it and I loved it and so I spent a couple of days just trying to live with it and letting the music flow. The way I write now, I just try and let the music come to me. I really don't try to force anything, so if I catch something like a vibe or a feeling then I catch something and go with it and let that direct me. I feel like it's a more natural way to finish songs."

Framed (video game)

Framed (Usually styled as FRAMED) is a multi-award winning noir-puzzle game where you re-arrange panels of animated comic book to change the outcome of the story. Developed by the Australian studio Loveshack, Framed is an experience that sees the player changing the order of the narrative-based puzzles to a dance-meets-jazz score.

Gameplay

Players take control of morally ambiguous characters as they slink their way across dark alleys and buildings in an effort to avoid the authorities and other obstacles. The goal of the game is to reorganize a series of comic panels so that your protagonist does not get caught by the police. In order to accomplish this feat, players must move frames around so that the sequence allows the main character to sneak past, avoid, or knock out their would-be captors.

Reception

As of July 2015, Framed has received over 30 awards and accolades. It has been praised by critics for its "brilliantly simple idea", "pitch perfect" execution, "subtle story telling", "gorgeous visuals", and "finger-snapping music".

Framed (album)

Framed is the 1972 debut album by The Sensational Alex Harvey Band. The album was released separately on CD, but is more widely available on a 2 in 1 album, the other album being Next. This album also features a cover of the song written by Willie Dixon and originally performed by Muddy Waters, "I Just Want To Make Love To You". The title track is a Leiber/Stoller song recorded by The Robins. "Hammer Song" and "Midnight Moses" are two Harvey originals that first appeared on his solo LP Roman Wall Blues.

Influence

In their early school days, under various group names, the Australian post-punk band The Birthday Party used to cover many of the songs from Framed in their live sets, as vocalist Nick Cave was a huge fan of the band. Cave later recorded a version of "The Hammer Song" on the album Kicking Against the Pricks.

Day (automobile)

The Day Utility was an automobile manufactured in Detroit, Michigan by the Day Automobile Company from 1911-14. The Day used a four-cylinder, 30 horsepower (22 kW) engine and shaft drive. Removal of the rear seat and doors allowed the car to be converted from a five-seater touring car to a light truck in one minute. As a truck, the Day was able to carry up to 1,000 lb (450 kg) in a 36-inch (910 mm) by 96-inch (2,400 mm) cargo space. The rear seat could be lifted away by triggering two spring locks. The Day had an advertised price of $950US.

Day (Wiesel novel)

Day, published in 1962, is the third book in a trilogy by Elie Wiesel—Night, Dawn, and Day—describing his experiences and thoughts during and after the Holocaust.

Day is the fictional story of a Holocaust survivor who is struck by a taxicab in New York City. While recovering from his injuries, the character reflects on his relationships and experiences during the Second World War, coming to terms with his survival and the deaths of his family and friends. The book was published in the UK as The Accident.
