✘ About me...
Born and raised in Bulgaria, currently living in Munich, Germany, I start listening to hip-hop when I was 12. I discovered the culture through legendary names such as KRS-One, Public Enemy, Biggie, Nas, Guru and Pac.
I started making beats as soon as my mom bought me a 150 $ second hand PC and I found a way to instal Fruity Loops on it.
My work is highly influenced by Premier, J Dilla, 9th Wonder, Just Blaze, Alchemist and Pete Rock. Even though the boombap sound is in the center of my production I constantly try to experiment and incorporate different genres and sounds in my music. Here I upload some compilations of classic instrumental music and also my beat tapes, my instrumentals and my own sounds...

http://www.vladtv.com - Famed producer Easy Mo Bee opened up to VladTV about working with both 2Pac and B.I.G. during their highly-publicized East Coast/West Coast beef. When asked about where he stood, the Brooklyn-born emcee said that he made it a point to stay professional and neutral in the situation.
The Grammy award-winning producer also spoke about working on B.I.G.'s "Going Back to Cali," and Mo Bee revealed that his plan for the track was to create some unity and "get everybody on one accord," not further any beef.
During the conversation Easy Mo Bee also spoke about his relationship with 2Pac, which started after they met backstage at an event in 1992. He later called Pac a "smart dude" and he also admitted to having lots of unreleased tracks from the legendary emcee hidden away.

Follow hip-hop producer Ill Tal as he re-creates Biggie's classic cut "The What" from the album "Ready to Die". The track was produced by legendary golden era producer Easy Mo Bee and features vocals by Method Man.
Ill Tal uses the 2 original samples (drum break / loop) and shows how they were chopped, via an Akai MPC. In addition, he adds Hammond M3 Organ and Moog 37 bass to match the original, as closely as possible.

The Bed-Stuy native who was involved with Bad Boy Records during its prime sat down with us exclusively to discuss the lack of diversity in today's music and untold stories of the Notorious B.I.G. before he got his infamous title.
Easy Mo Bee remembers the day when Sean "Puffy" Combs was just an intern and asked that Easy play some music for his new artist with Andre Harrell. "Come to find out this new artist they wanted me to play music for is the same dude that months and months before DJ Mister Cee [played for me]," Easy recalled. "The new artist was Biggie...He wasn't even Notorious yet."
The two then went on to collaborate on countless Biggie hits, including their first track "Party & Bulls***." "Our chemistry was good so Puffy kept it going," which resulted in Easy Mo Bee producing "Warning," the title track and three other songs on B.I.G.'s debut studio album, "Ready to Die." "There's a bunch of unreleased stuff that never saw the light of day, too," he later admits.
Hear what original songs were never made public, as well as, a couple of stories of Easy Mo Bee's personal encounters with Biggie in this intriguing clip - Easy even has a few words for the upcoming artists of today. Remembering a time where "you could almost go boutique shopping for music" he encourages artists out now to "not just ride trends and just go with your heart." "Do what your insides are telling you to do, because that right there will definitely contribute to the diversity which we need right now - we need a lot more of that," he concluded. Easy Mo Bee
Osten Harvey, Jr., better known by his stage name Easy Mo Bee, is a hip hop/R&B record producer, known for production work for late 80's artists such as Big Daddy Kane and Miles Davis, as well as his affiliation with Bad Boy Records in its early years and his heavy production involvement in The Notorious B.I.G.'s debut album Ready to Die. He also produced two songs for 2Pac's album Me Against The World.
Biography
Early career
Mo Bee began producing after hearing music by Ced Gee of Ultramagnetic MCs and Marley Marl, producer of early hip-hop hits for the likes of the Juice Crew and LL Cool J. His first production placement came on Big Daddy Kane's breakthrough album, It's a Big Daddy Thing, after which he was approached to work with another Cold Chillin' Records artist, The Genius—an early alias for now-Wu-Tang Clan co-founder GZA. Mo Bee produced the rapper's debut album, Words From the Genius, as well as fellow future Wu-Tang co-founder RZA's first single, "Ooh I Love You Rakeem", which the rapper/producer released under the alias Prince Rakeem. Around that same time, Mo Bee had a group with neighborhood friends A.B. Money and J.R. called Rappin' Is Fundamental. The trio released only one album on A&M Records in 1991: The Doo-Hop Legacy. Jazz pioneer Miles Davis approached the young producer to help fuse jazz and hip-hop. These sessions would become his last studio album, 1992's Doo-Bop. The project, released posthumously after Davis died during the recording process, leaving the project unfinished, garnered generally mixed reviews.

The Bed-Stuy native who was involved with Bad Boy Records during its prime sat down with us exclusively to discuss the lack of diversity in today's music and untold stories of the Notorious B.I.G. before he got his infamous title.
Easy Mo Bee remembers the day when Sean "Puffy" Combs was just an intern and asked that Easy play some music for his new artist with Andre Harrell. "Come to find out this new artist they wanted me to play music for is the same dude that months and months before DJ Mister Cee [played for me]," Easy recalled. "The new artist was Biggie...He wasn't even Notorious yet."
The two then went on to collaborate on countless Biggie hits, including their first track "Party & Bulls***." "Our chemistry was good so Puffy kept it going," which resulted in Easy Mo Bee producing "Warning," the title track and three other songs on B.I.G.'s debut studio album, "Ready to Die." "There's a bunch of unreleased stuff that never saw the light of day, too," he later admits.

Born and raised in Bulgaria, currently living in Munich, Germany, I start listening to hip-hop when I was 12. I discovered the culture through legendary names such as KRS-One, Public Enemy, Biggie, Nas, Guru and Pac.
I started making beats as soon as my mom bought me a 150 $ second hand PC and I found a way to instal Fruity Loops on it.
My work is highly influenced by Premier, J Dilla, 9th Wonder, Just Blaze, Alchemist and Pete Rock. Even though the boombap sound is in the center of my production I constantly try to experiment and incorporate different genres and sounds in my music. http://www.vladtv.com - Famed producer Easy Mo Bee opened up to VladTV about working with both 2Pac and B.I.G. during their highly-publicized East Coast/West Coast beef. When asked about where he stood, the Brooklyn-born emcee said that he made it a point to stay professional and neutral in the situation.
The Grammy award-winning producer also spoke about working on B.I.G.'s "Going Back to Cali," and Mo Bee revealed that his plan for the track was to create some unity and "get everybody on one accord," not further any beef.
During the conversation Easy Mo Bee also spoke about his relationship with 2Pac, which started after they met backstage at an event in 1992. He later called Pac a "smart dude" and he also admitted to having lots of unreleased tracks from the legendary emcee hidden away.

Easy Mo Bee
Osten Harvey, Jr., better known by his stage name Easy Mo Bee, is a hip hop/R&B record producer, known for production work for late 80's artists such as Big Daddy Kane and Miles Davis, as well as his affiliation with Bad Boy Records in its early years and his heavy production involvement in The Notorious B.I.G.'s debut album Ready to Die. He also produced two songs for 2Pac's album Me Against The World.
Biography
Early career
Mo Bee began producing after hearing music by Ced Gee of Ultramagnetic MCs and Marley Marl, producer of early hip-hop hits for the likes of the Juice Crew and LL Cool J. His first production placement came on Big Daddy Kane's breakthrough album, It's a Big Daddy Thing, after which he was approached to work with another Cold Chillin' Records artist, The Genius—an early alias for now-Wu-Tang Clan co-founder GZA. Mo Bee produced the rapper's debut album, Words From the Genius, as well as fellow future Wu-Tang co-founder RZA's first single, "Ooh I Love You Rakeem", which the rapper/producer released under the alias Prince Rakeem. Around that same time, Mo Bee had a group with neighborhood friends A.B. Money and J.R. called Rappin' Is Fundamental. The trio released only one album on A&M Records in 1991: The Doo-Hop Legacy. Jazz pioneer Miles Davis approached the young producer to help fuse jazz and hip-hop. These sessions would become his last studio album, 1992's Doo-Bop. The project, released posthumously after Davis died during the recording process, leaving the project unfinished, garnered generally mixed reviews.
