Samurai (侍?) is the term for the military nobility of pre-industrial Japan. According to translator William Scott Wilson: "In Chinese, the character 侍 was originally a verb meaning to wait upon or accompany a persons in the upper ranks of society, and this is also true of the original term in Japanese, saburau. In both countries the terms were nominalized to mean "those who serve in close attendance to the nobility," the pronunciation in Japanese changing to saburai. According to Wilson, an early reference to the word "samurai" appears in the Kokin Wakashū (905–914), the first imperial anthology of poems, completed in the first part of the 10th century.
By the end of the 12th century, samurai became almost entirely synonymous with bushi (武士), and the word was closely associated with the middle and upper echelons of the warrior class. The samurai followed a set of rules that came to be known as bushidō. While they numbered less than 10% of Japan's population samurai teachings can still be found today in both everyday life and in modern Japanese martial arts.

Plot: Billy is a teenage outcast in search of his life's true meaning. Day by day, he slaves away at the local burger joint, only to return home to a paraplegic father, whose own dreams of happiness have faded away in an alcoholic haze. Nonetheless, Billy tries to bond with his delusional father, but cannot break through the many layers of pain and regret that surround him. Frustrated, Billy longs to escape the dead-end existence that has engulfed his father, and now appears to be closing in on him as well. It's only within the confines of his small bedroom that Billy truly feels alive. Closing his eyes, he allows his vivid imagination to take over, sweeping him away from his bleak surroundings, and into a world of fantasy. In his dreams, Billy is no longer the misfit, but a brave warrior roaming freely. Along with his best friend Sarah, Billy travels blissfully through this imaginary world, only to awaken once again to the grim reality he struggles so hard to escape. In an attempt to rejuvenate his father, Billy hatches a plot to seek revenge on the man who allegedly crippled his father many years ago. This decision puts Billy face to face with the one thing he has yearned for so long to attain: a purpose. As Billy embarks on his mission, he soon finds that things aren't always what they seem, as his mission for revenge may ultimately become a mission for his very own survival.

His collegemate Kavitha (Jayaseal) commits suicide when she doesn't get any support from him in her effort to expose a drug sale racket in the medical college. This shocked him and spurred him into taking law into his own hands. Nabbed by Sandana pandian and hauled before the special court, Thiyagu reveals the crimes committed by those he had kidnapped. He offers to free them if they are sentenced to life imprisonment. When the judges refuses, the public storm the court. In the melee, Sandana pandian lets the gang members go scot free along with his daughter.

Legend of the Eight Samurai (Satomi hakken-den) is a 1983 Japanese historical martial arts fantasy film, directed by Kinji Fukasaku. The script is adapted from a 1982 novel Shin Satomi Hakkenden by Toshio Kamata, a loose reworking of the epic serial Nansō Satomi Hakkenden by Kyokutei Bakin.
The story follows Princess Shizu (Hiroko Yakushimaru), her family slain and on the run from her enemies. As she escapes she is found by the vagabond Shinbei (Hiroyuki Sanada), before being rescued from her pursuers by Dōsetsu (Sonny Chiba). He tells her the legend of a curse on her family, and of eight beads that identify eight dog-warriors who can lift it, of which he and his companion are two. To defeat the evil queen Tamazusa (Mari Natsuki) who killed her family, they must find all eight. But Shinbei hears of Princess Shizu's identity, and vows to collect the reward for capturing her.

Acerca de Way of the Samurai 3 PC
Way of the Samurai 3 es un juego de acción y aventura el cual fue estrenado años anteriores para diferentes plataformas, solo hasta la fecha 2016 podemos contar con este estreno para PC. Este es un juego que continua con la secuela de Way of the Samurai, en esta entrega todo lo que hagamos tendrá consecuencias de una forma que ni tu te lo imaginas, haciendo que cada acto, movimiento, combate o muerte tenga resultados directos que cambien por completo el desarrollo de la aventura. Más allá de este concepto apasionante.
La historia nos sitúa durante la era Sengoku (1467-1568), en el Japón feudal, una época convulsa de guerra civil y violencia, con numerosos clanes luchando por el control de las tierras. Una vez empecemos una nueva aventura, podremos crear nuestro propio samurái, desde un joven espadachín hasta un curtido guerrero; eso sí, las opciones no son muy numerosas y a medida que avancemos en la aventura, podremos modificar aspectos físicos del protagonista, dependiendo de las decisiones que tomemos.

Acerca de Way of the Samurai 3 PC
Way of the Samurai 3 es un juego de acción y aventura el cual fue estrenado años anteriores para diferentes plataformas, solo hasta la fecha 2016 podemos contar con este estreno para PC. Este es un juego que continua con la secuela de Way of the Samurai, en esta entrega todo lo que hagamos tendrá consecuencias de una forma que ni tu te lo imaginas, haciendo que cada acto, movimiento, combate o muerte tenga resultados directos que cambien por completo el desarrollo de la aventura. Más allá de este concepto apasionante.
La historia nos sitúa durante la era Sengoku (1467-1568), en el Japón feudal, una época convulsa de guerra civil y violencia, con numerosos clanes luchando por el control de las tierras. Una vez empecemos una nueva aventura, podremos crear nuestro propio samurái, desde un joven espadachín hasta un curtido guerrero; eso sí, las opciones no son muy numerosas y a medida que avancemos en la aventura, podremos modificar aspectos físicos del protagonista, dependiendo de las decisiones que tomemos.

Tomb Raider kind of took over for me, and in the weeks before game coming out, I spent a lot of time trying to platinum vanilla 4. I wasn't really in a rush to go back to it. However, now that Empires is out and I've played a bit of it, I've got the Koei spark back in me! Figured I'd finish this. so yay i guess?

In the early 16th century, Japan is a warlike society ruled by samurai and their daimyo warlords. When Portuguese merchants arrive in 1543, they are the first Europeans to set foot in Japan. English archers had their longbows, Old West sheriffs had their six-guns, but samurai warriors had the most fearsome weapon of all: the razor-sharp, unsurpassed technology of the katana, or samurai sword. In this program, NOVA probes the centuries-old secrets that went into forging what many consider the perfect blade.
The beauty and lethality of the curved steel blade became identified with the distinctive culture of those who wielded it so expertly: the samurai warriors of medieval Japan, celebrated in countless Japanese woodcuts, prints, and films. Fifteen traditional Japanese craftsmen spent nearly six months creating the sword that NOVA follows through production, from smelting the ore to forging the steel to sharpening the blade to a keen edge, capable of slicing through a row of warriors at one swoop—although NOVA does not put the super-weapon to this ultimate test.
Japanese sword-making developed centuries ago, before electron microscopy, mass spectrometry, and other tools of modern materials analysis enabled scientists to understand exactly why the swords are as good as they are. Professor Michael Notis of Lehigh University, an expert on samurai swords, sheds light on the principles that underlie the weapons' strength, resilience, beauty, and distinctive shape.
For example, during smelting, iron-ore sand is heated with charcoal, which provides a source of carbon that alloys with the iron to create steel. Ancient craftsmen deliberately stopped just short of a uniform liquid state for the white-hot steel, which resulted in a product with varying amounts of carbon throughout. The harder high-carbon steel was forged into the sword's edge, which had to be hard and sharp, while the more resilient low-carbon steel was used as the core of the weapon to produce a blade resistant to breaking during combat. Without access to the insights of modern science, Japanese craftsmen a millennium ago worked out an exacting method that is still followed by a devoted few and that produces the Stradivarius of swords.

Why has the samurai sword always been such a powerful symbol of Japanese culture? Dr. Inazo Nitobe, the man pictured on Japan's 5,000-yen note, tried to answer that question for the world. As a Japanese diplomat at the League of Nations, he was asked by a western colleague how - without religious instruction - the Japanese could teach their children right from wrong. So in the year 1900, Dr. Nitobe wrote a book in English called Bushido - the code of the samurai. He wrote that this warrior code became the credo by which most Japanese lived their lives. And, he wrote, just as the code of the samurai is the soul of Japan, the sword is the soul of the samurai. For Dr. Nitobe, the sword is a work of art that represents the soul of the samurai. But originally the sword was not the samurai's weapon of choice. In the beginning, they fought from horseback, and their skill was with the bow and arrow. So why did the sword, not the bow and arrow, become so important to the samurai and to Japan? To find the answer we must go deep into the history and legends of this ancient land.
