A surname or family name is a name added to a given name. In many cases, a surname is a family name and many dictionaries define "surname" as a synonym of "family name". In the western hemisphere, it is commonly synonymous with last name because it is usually placed at the end of a person's given name.
In most Spanish-speaking and Portuguese-speaking countries, two or more last names (or surnames) may be used. In China, Hungary, Japan, Korea, Madagascar, Taiwan, Vietnam, and parts of India, the family name is placed before a person's given name.
The style of having both a family name (surname) and a given name (forename) is far from universal. In many countries, it is common for ordinary people to have only one name or mononym.
The concept of a "surname" is a relatively recent historical development, evolving from a medieval naming practice called a "byname". Based on an individual's occupation or area of residence, a byname would be used in situations where more than one person had the same name.

Um encontro com Lacan
Jacques Lacan was France’s most famous psychoanalyst, who came up with the intriguing concept of the ‘mirror phase.’ If you like our films, take a look at our shop (we ship worldwide): http://www.theschooloflife.com/shop/most-popular/?utm_source=You%20Tube&utm;_medium=YouTube%20video%20description%20-%20most%20popular&utm;_campaign=YouTube%20video%20description%20-%20most%20popular Watch more films on PSYCHOTHERAPY: http://bit.ly/TSOLpsychotherapy Produced in collaboration with Reflective Films http://www.reflectivefilms.co.uk
Introduction to Theory of Literature (ENGL 300) In this lecture on psychoanalytic criticism, Professor Paul Fry explores the work of Jacques Lacan. Lacan's interest in Freud and distaste for post-Freudian "ego psychologists" are briefly mentioned, and his clinical work on "the mirror stage" is discussed in depth. The relationship in Lacanian thought, between metaphor and metonymy is explored through the image of the point de capiton. The correlation between language and the unconscious, and the distinction between desire and need, are also explained, with reference to Hugo's "Boaz Asleep." 00:00 - Chapter 1.
This film about the psychoanalyst and psychiatrist Lacan takes a look at his day-to-day life, through accounts from his patients, pupils, and close friends and family. Born at the turn of the 20th century into a bourgeois Catholic family, Lacan had an encyclopaedic knowledge and trained as a psychiatrist. He was friendly with Picasso, Lévi-Strauss and Sartre. But despite being a brilliant psychoanalyst, and an outstanding practitioner and theorist, his own colleagues excommunicated him, treating him as though he were the devil. Filmmaker Gérard Miller was still in lycée when he first met Lacan. At the age of twenty, his elder brother Jacques-Alain Miller became one of Lacan’s most loyal pupils. A few years later, Jacques-Alain married Lacan’s daughter Judith. 45 years on, Gérard Miller st...

Documentário sobre Lacan
Nu stiu daca cer prea mult
Ma intreb daca s-ar putea
Atunci cand te chem in gand
Sa apari in viata mea...
Sa-mi spui ca voi fi a ta
Si-n zori sa te pot avea
Doar pe tine...
Ce mult te-as tzine...
Langa mine...
Cat de mult as vrea
Doar pe tine...
Sa te pot avea...
Refren:
Dorinta sa-mi-o implinesti
Nu cred ca e foarte greu
Sa vii si sa imi soptesti
Ca eu voi fi mereu
A ta si ma vei iubi
Mai mult in fiecare zi
Doar pe tine...
Pe tine te-as tzine...
Langa mine...
Cat de mult as vrea
Doar pe tine...
Sa te pot avea...

Doar pe tïne...
