As Ireland’s national cultural institution for film, the IFI works with partners throughout Ireland to provide audiences with access to the IFI’s programmes and resources.
IFI National curates special programmes from the IFI Irish Film Archive, making material from this important national resource available to a wider audience.
The Local Films for Local People Project sees collections of local-interest films being brought back to the communities in which they were made. This annual programme launched in 2014, and has screened in venues across the country including Galway, (Town Hall Theatre), Kerry (Carnegie Arts Centre, Kenmare), Tipperary (Source Arts Centre, Thurles) and Leitrim (Glens Centre, Manorhamilton).
Organisations interested in collaborating with IFI National should contact Sunniva O’Flynn, Head of Irish Film Programming.
