Mashup of Royals by Lorde, California Love by 2Pac, and Loser by Beck, now available on iTunes https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/season-2/id902077038?uo=4. We used the chords and melodic riff of California Love, and layered it underneath the melody and words of Royals. The outro is a combination of the hook from Loser and the vocals from the bridge of Royals.
No samples from the original songs were used. We tracked, mixed and mastered with Ableton Live 8.
The video was filmed in one take, using only a single projector and pieces of white foam core. We built the projections using Final Cut Pro 7 - no mapping software or math or programming. We simply held up the foam core and used the "distort" tool in Final Cut to mash around the images until they fit onto the foam core pieces.

Pomplamoose is an American indie music duo consisting of multi-instrumentalists Jack Conte and Nataly Dawn. The band formed in the summer of 2008 and sold approximately 100,000 songs online in 2009.
The name of the band derives from the French word pamplemousse, meaning grapefruit. Pomplamoose is an English-spelling approximation of the French pronunciation.
Pomplamoose's presence is primarily videos on YouTube and MySpace, with few live performances. They have gathered over 344,000 subscribers on their YouTube channel as of May 2012[update]. The group first gained widespread recognition when their video performance of Hail Mary was featured on the front page of YouTube. The duo recently produced the latest studio album of Julia Nunes.
Their videos mostly take the form of "VideoSongs", a medium Jack Conte defines with two rules:
On April 11, 2010, the band was interviewed on NPR's All Things Considered. Conte discussed the "glitz-free" manner in which they record:

Mark Daniel Ronson (born 4 September 1975) is an English DJ, musician, music producer, artist and co-founder of Allido Records. He currently works with his band under the music alias of Mark Ronson & The Business Intl.
While his debut album Here Comes the Fuzz failed to make an impact on the charts, his second album, Version included three top ten hits and won Ronson a Brit Award for Best British Male Artist in 2008. His third studio album, Record Collection, was released on 27 September 2010.
Ronson was born at the Wellington Hospital, St John's Wood, to writer/socialite Ann Dexter-Jones and one-time band manager and real estate entrepreneur Laurence Ronson. Peter Gene Hernandez (born October 8, 1985), better known by his stage name Bruno Mars, is an American singer-songwriter and record producer. Raised in Honolulu, Hawaii by a family of musicians, Mars began making music at a young age. He performed in various musical venues in his hometown throughout his childhood. He graduated from high school and then moved to Los Angeles, California to pursue a musical career. Mars produced songs for other artists, joining production team The Smeezingtons.
Mars had an unsuccessful stint with Motown Records, but then signed with Atlantic Records in 2009. He became recognized as a solo artist after lending his vocals and co-writing the hooks for the songs "Nothin' on You" by B.o.B, and "Billionaire" by Travie McCoy. He also co-wrote the hits "Right Round" by Flo Rida featuring Ke$ha, and "Wavin' Flag" by K'naan. In October 2010, he released his debut album, Doo-Wops & Hooligans. Anchored by the worldwide number-one singles "Just the Way You Are" and "Grenade", the album peaked at number three on the Billboard 200. Mars was nominated for seven Grammys at the 53rd Grammy Awards, winning Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for "Just the Way You Are".

Mashup of Royals by Lorde, California Love by 2Pac, and Loser by Beck, now available on iTunes https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/season-2/id902077038?uo=4. We used the chords and melodic riff of California Love, and layered it underneath the melody and words of Royals. The outro is a combination of the hook from Loser and the vocals from the bridge of Royals. No samples from the original songs were used. We tracked, mixed and mastered with Ableton Live 8. The video was filmed in one take, using only a single projector and pieces of white foam core. We built the projections using Final Cut Pro 7 - no mapping software or math or programming. We simply held up the foam core and used the "distort" tool in Final Cut to mash around the images until they fit onto the foam core pieces. Pat... -
