"All The Things She Said" is a song performed by Russian recording duo t.A.T.u., released as the lead single from their debut studio album 200 km/h in the Wrong Lane (2002). The song was written, including musical composition, by Sergio Galoyan, Trevor Horn, Martin Kierszenbaum, Elena Kiper and Valeriy Polienko, with production handled by Horn. It was announced by producers of Interscope that they would be recording the song after the split with Russian act Neposedi. The song was then the musical act's first English-language song for the record label, Interscope Records, a subsidiary label of the Universal Music Group, and emerged at a period in time when the duo was entering into the English-language market through a number of developing projects[citation needed].
Musically, "All The Things She Said" is a mid-tempo pop rock song that draws influences of electronica, europop, R&B and hard rock music. Lyrically, the song is about the relationship between the two girls (whether it is platonic or not is not mentioned) and how they cannot get the other girl out of their heads. The song received mixed reviews from music critics, with some reviews pointing to the song as an album highlight and catchy, but some critics criticized the song's overly-repetitive nature. Following the release of "All The Things She Said", the song had peaked at number one in most charts around the world, including including Australia, New Zealand, Russia, Denmark, Italy, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. The song managed to dominate the charts in the American market, peaking at number twenty on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.
Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson (born October 25, 1984), known by her stage name Katy Perry, is an American singer, songwriter and actress. Perry grew up with gospel music, and during her first year of high school she pursued a music career as Katy Hudson, releasing her first studio album called Katy Hudson which failed to chart. She recorded a solo album later, which was never released. After signing with Capitol Music Group in 2007, her fourth record label in seven years, she adopted the stage name Katy Perry.
She first gained recognition with the release of her first mainstream album, One of the Boys in 2008, which spawned three Billboard Hot 100 top-ten songs—"I Kissed A Girl", "Hot n Cold" and "Waking Up In Vegas". Perry supported the album with her Hello Katy Tour. In 2010, her third studio album, Teenage Dream (2010), which topped the Billboard 200 chart, and spawned five number one singles—"California Gurls", "Teenage Dream", "Firework", "E.T." and "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)"—Teenage Dream was the only album (after Michael Jackson's Bad)—to do so, and the first female in history to achieve this milestone. She embarked on the California Dreams Tour, which grossed nearly $60 million worldwide. Perry re-released the album under the name of Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection on March 26, 2012, and the re-release has already spawned the number-one single "Part of Me".
