Syrian rebels from the Islamist Al-Nusra Front on Thursday seized the town of Shadadeh in the oil-rich northeastern province of Hasake, on the border with Iraq, a monitoring group said.
"After three days of fierce battles against the army, Al-Nusra Front fighters have seized control of Shadadeh," said the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, which relies on a network of activists, doctors and lawyers for its reporting.
Fighting and car bomb attacks by the jihadists left more than 100 troops dead in three days, during which 30 Al-Nusra Front fighters also died, five of whom were from Kuwait, said the Observatory.
"Dozens of employees" working for the state oil company were also killed in the rebel assault on the town, said the watchdog, without elaborating.
Further west, pro-regime media on Thursday admitted the army's loss to Islamist fighters of Base 80, a strategic army complex tasked with securing the nearby Aleppo international airport and military airports in the area.
"The army is preparing to retake control of Base 80," Al-Watan daily said, adding that "hundreds of armed men" were killed in fighting over the complex.
Elsewhere in the strife-torn country, the army made its own military advance, seizing a key district in the central city of Homs after several weeks of fierce fighting, said the Observatory.
"The army has entered Jobar in western Homs, and rebel fighters have withdrawn from the district," said the group's director Rami Abdel Rahman.
The victory comes a week after the army took control of Kafraya, also in southwestern Homs.
Activist refer to Homs city as "the capital of the revolution" and several of its districts have been suffocated by a siege for some eight months.
On January 19, the army launched an all-out bid to secure the route linking Damascus to the coast, which runs through western Homs but has so far failed to take complete control.
In violence elsewhere in Homs province, the air force bombarded "for the 10th day in a row" the ancient city of Palmyra, activist Mohammed al-Khatib told AFP via the Internet.
Warplanes also raided the nearby town of Rastan, which has been out of the control of the army for at least a year, said the Observatory.
"Homs province is strategic to the regime because it is the largest in the country and because it links Damascus to the coast," said Abu Rawan, a Rastan-based activists.
"The army will do all it can to take back rebel-controlled territory," he added.

Syria War 2015 - Kurdish YPG In Heavy Clashes With IS During Battle For Hasakah. Kurdish YPG fighters released footage of their recent fighting in the area of Al-Hasakah Governorate. The battle for the area in norther Syria is actually ongoing with heavy clashes are reported in the towns of Tel Tamer, Tal Hamis and Ras al-Ayn on the Turkish border. The video shows scenes from all this clashes. Even with fighting and firefights ongoing the Kurdish YPG seems to have the upper hand in the battle with capturing numerous IS equipment.

Jihadists seize Syria town Al-Hasakah on Iraq border
Syrian rebels from the Islamist Al-Nusra Front on Thursday seized the town of Shadadeh in the oil-rich northeastern province of Hasake, on the border with Iraq, a monitoring group said. "After three days of fierce battles against the army, Al-Nusra Front fighters have seized control of Shadadeh," said the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, which relies on a network of activists, doctors and lawyers for its reporting. Fighting and car bomb attacks by the jihadists left more than 100 troops dead in three days, during which 30 Al-Nusra Front fighters also died, five of whom were from Kuwait, said the Observatory. "Dozens of employees" working for the state oil company were also killed in the rebel assault on the town, said the watchdog, without elaborating. Further west, pro-regime media on Thursday admitted the army's loss to Islamist fighters of Base 80, a strategic army complex tasked with securing the nearby Aleppo international airport and military airports in the area. "The army is preparing to retake control of Base 80," Al-Watan daily said, adding that "hundreds of armed men" were killed in fighting over the complex. Elsewhere in the strife-torn country, the army made its own military advance, seizing a key district in the central city of Homs after several weeks of fierce fighting, said the Observatory. "The army has entered Jobar in western Homs, and rebel fighters have withdrawn from the district," said the group's director Rami Abdel Rahman. The victory comes a week after the army took control of Kafraya, also in southwestern Homs. Activist refer to Homs city as "the capital of the revolution" and several of its districts have been suffocated by a siege for some eight months. On January 19, the army launched an all-out bid to secure the route linking Damascus to the coast, which runs through western Homs but has so far failed to take complete control. In violence elsewhere in Homs province, the air force bombarded "for the 10th day in a row" the ancient city of Palmyra, activist Mohammed al-Khatib told AFP via the Internet. Warplanes also raided the nearby town of Rastan, which has been out of the control of the army for at least a year, said the Observatory. "Homs province is strategic to the regime because it is the largest in the country and because it links Damascus to the coast," said Abu Rawan, a Rastan-based activists. Syrian rebels from the Islamist Al-Nusra Front on Thursday seized the town of Shadadeh in the oil-rich northeastern province of Hasake, on the border with Iraq, a monitoring group said.
"After three days of fierce battles against the army, Al-Nusra Front fighters have seized control of Shadadeh," said the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, which relies on a network of activists, doctors and lawyers for its reporting.
Fighting and car bomb attacks by the jihadists left more than 100 troops dead in three days, during which 30 Al-Nusra Front fighters also died, five of whom were from Kuwait, said the Observatory.
"Dozens of employees" working for the state oil company were also killed in the rebel assault on the town, said the watchdog, without elaborating.
Further west, pro-regime media on Thursday admitted the army's loss to Islamist fighters of Base 80, a strategic army complex tasked with securing the nearby Aleppo international airport and military airports in the area.
"The army is preparing to retake control of Base 80," Al-Watan daily said, adding that "hundreds of armed men" were killed in fighting over the complex.
Elsewhere in the strife-torn country, the army made its own military advance, seizing a key district in the central city of Homs after several weeks of fierce fighting, said the Observatory.
"The army has entered Jobar in western Homs, and rebel fighters have withdrawn from the district," said the group's director Rami Abdel Rahman.
The victory comes a week after the army took control of Kafraya, also in southwestern Homs.
Activist refer to Homs city as "the capital of the revolution" and several of its districts have been suffocated by a siege for some eight months.
On January 19, the army launched an all-out bid to secure the route linking Damascus to the coast, which runs through western Homs but has so far failed to take complete control.
In violence elsewhere in Homs province, the air force bombarded "for the 10th day in a row" the ancient city of Palmyra, activist Mohammed al-Khatib told AFP via the Internet.
Warplanes also raided the nearby town of Rastan, which has been out of the control of the army for at least a year, said the Observatory.
"Homs province is strategic to the regime because it is the largest in the country and because it links Damascus to the coast," said Abu Rawan, a Rastan-based activists.
"The army will do all it can to take back rebel-controlled territory," he added.

SDF Approaching al Shaddadah - Al Hasakah, NE Syria
The Syrian Democratic Forces, commonly abbreviated as SDF or QSD, backed by US-led coalition air strikes, Approaching the strategic town of al-Shaddadah "or Al-Shaddadi" in the northeastern province of Al-Hasakah. SDF are an alliance of Kurdish, Arab, Syriacs, Armenian, and Turkmen militias established during the Syrian Civil War. Their size vary significantly, their total number may be as high as 55,000. The key town of al-Shaddadah in the oil-producing northeastern province of Al-Hasakah has been under ISIS control, Tackır Kobani, a representative of the Syrian Democratic Forces, quoted saying that restoration work is under way in the town, and that at least 17 ISIS fighters had been captured as a result of a military operation to liberate al-Shaddadah. The operation came amid reports that Turkey continues to support Al-Nusra Front (JN) - al-Qaeda in order to prevent the border town of Azaz in northwestern Aleppo Province from being taken by the Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG) and the SDF. In the past seven days, about 1,200 fighters and almost 30 tons of ammunition have reportedly been sent from (JN) held Idlib region to Azaz via the Turkish border checkpoint of Oncupinar. Die Demokratischen Kräfte Syriens ( قوات سوريا الديمقراطية, Qūwāt Sūriyā ad-dīmuqrāṭīya; kurdisch Hêzên Sûriya Demokratîk; englisch Syrian Democratic Forces, abgekürzt SDF bzw. QSD) sind ein am 10. Oktober 2015 gebildetes Militärbündnis im Bürgerkrieg in Syrien. Sie bestehen unter anderem aus den kurdischen Volksverteidigungseinheiten (YPG), der sunnitisch-arabischen Armee der Revolutionäre (Dschaisch ath-Thuwwar), der sunnitisch-arabischen Schammar-Stammesmiliz Quwat as-Sanadid und dem assyrisch-aramäischen Militärrat der Suryoye (MFS).

Rebels destroy a tank in AL Breij with a TOW in Aleppo Rif and a T55 in Handarat. Blow up the building dug by Assad forces in Amriya district in Aleppo mortar cannon directed hell. Destroyed Su-24 warplane on Neirab airbase and Harakat Hazzm destroying the ZU -23 and with a TOW a Bulldozer inside Nayrab Airport. Elsewhere, rebels targets the regime troops bases in al-Khaldea neighborhood using Jahannam (Hell) homemade launchers. Daraa Rebels destroyed Shilka Anti Aircraft tank in northern Shayk Maskin, regime fortification and sniper nest in water tower. Rebels destroyed a regime Gvozdika at the northern outskirts of Safyat. Idlib western Rif, Faylaq 1 – Liwa Al Adiyat destroys a Grad missile launcher at Jisr AL Shughur. In addition, not to be seen here, rebels shot down an "ilyushin" aircraft over Abu Duhur airport which was transporting soldiers & was loaded with ammunition. With the liberation of Liwa 82 one of the largest air defence brigade in Syria, rebels have achieved their first great victory this year, with the total liberation of Sheikh Meskeen. They also arrested a brigadier and seized large number of arms and amunitions. Liwa 82 was one of the most important regime army spot in the centre of Daraa Province and supply line to the other spots in its neighborhood. Surah Kahf | Sa'ad al Ghamdi سورة الكهف | سعد الغامدي
From Abu Sa'eed al-Khudri, who said: "Whoever reads Soorat al-Kahf on the night of Jumu'ah, will have a light that will stretch between him and the Ancient House (the Ka'bah)." (Narrated by al-Daarimi, 3407. This hadeeth was classed as saheeh by Shaykh al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami, 6471) (b) "Whoever reads Soorat al-Kahf on the day of Jumu'ah, will have a light that will shine from him from one Friday to the next." (Narrated by al-Haakim, 2/399; al-Bayhaqi, 3/249. Ibn Hajar said in Takhreej al-Adhkaar that this is a hasan hadeeth, and he said, this is the strongest report that has been narrated concerning reading Soorat al-Kahf. See: Fayd al-Qadeer, 6/198. It was classed as saheeh by Shaykh al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami', 6470) (c) It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: "The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: 'Whoever reads Soorat al-Kahf on the day of Jumu'ah, a light will shine for him from beneath his feet to the clouds of the sky, which will shine for him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will be forgiven (his sins) between the two Fridays.'" Al-Mundhiri said, this was narrated by Abu Bakr ibn Mardawayh in his Tafseer, with an isnaad with which there was nothing wrong. (al-Targheeb wa'l-Tarheeb, 1/298) The soorah may be read during the night or the day of Jumu'ah. The night of Jumu'ah starts from sunset on Thursday, and the day of Jumu'ah ends at sunset. Therefore the time for reading this soorah extends from sunset on Thursday to sunset on Friday. Al-Mannaawi said: Al-Haafiz ibn Hajar said in his Amaali: "In some reports it says 'the day of Jumu'ah' and in some reports it says 'the night of Jumu'ah'. They may be reconciled by saying that what is meant is the day which includes the night and vice versa." (Fayd al-Qadeer, 6/199) May Allah forgive all our sins. Rebels destroy a tank in AL Breij with a TOW in Aleppo Rif and a T55 in Handarat. Blow up the building dug by Assad forces in Amriya district in Aleppo mortar cannon directed hell. Destroyed Su-24 warplane on Neirab airbase and Harakat Hazzm destroying the ZU -23 and with a TOW a Bulldozer inside Nayrab Airport.
Elsewhere, rebels targets the regime troops bases in al-Khaldea neighborhood using Jahannam (Hell) homemade launchers.
Daraa Rebels destroyed Shilka Anti Aircraft tank in northern Shayk Maskin, regime fortification and sniper nest in water tower.
Rebels destroyed a regime Gvozdika at the northern outskirts of Safyat. Idlib western Rif, Faylaq 1 – Liwa Al Adiyat destroys a Grad missile launcher at Jisr AL Shughur.
In addition, not to be seen here, rebels shot down an "ilyushin" aircraft over Abu Duhur airport which was transporting soldiers & was loaded with ammunition.
With the liberation of Liwa 82 one of the largest air defence brigade in Syria, rebels have achieved their first great victory this year, with the total liberation of Sheikh Meskeen. They also arrested a brigadier and seized large number of arms and amunitions. Liwa 82 was one of the most important regime army spot in the centre of Daraa Province and supply line to the other spots in its neighborhood.
More good news: peaceful protester still exist in Kafranbel, Vanessa and Greta two italian activist and aid workers are free.
Also Kobane is free from IS, Kurds and YPG/YPJ are on the offensive against IS now and attack also the regime in Al-Hasakah.
Putin continued support of the regime and ruined the ruble. Also Ukrainians want to be free, but they curiously continue to buy and export russian gas and finance the aggressor himself so. We must wait until the mind turns there.

أفاد مصدر عسكري في قيادة عمليات البادية والجزيرة في محافظة الأنبار العراقية، بأن 46 إرهابياً قتلوا بعملية أمنية واسعة النطاق ضمن ناحية البغدادي في الأنبار، فيما أوضح أن القتلى بينهم 21 انتحارياً يحملون جنسيات عربية.
وقال المصدر لـ$: إن «قوة مشتركة من الشرطة المحلية والجيش وشرطة اتحادية والفرقة الذهبية، فضلا عن مقاتلين من العشائر نفذت صباح أمس، عملية أمنية واسعة النطاق في ناحية البغدادي بالأنبار، أسفرت عن مقتل 46 إرهابياً من داعش، بينهم 21 انتحارياً من جنسيات عربية».
وأضاف المصدر: إن «اشتباكات عنيفة دارت بين التنظيم الإرهابي والقوات الأمنية في المنطقة الممتدة ما بين المجمع السكني وجسر الجوعانة غرب الناحية»، مؤكدا أن «القوات الأمنية ومقاتلي العشائر أمنوا المجمع السكني بالكامل، في حين تم تشكيل حائط صد منيع تحسباً لأي هجمات إرهابية محتملة».
ومن المتوقع أن تُنهي القوات العراقية المشتركة استعداداتها لمحاصرة تكريت، تمهيداً لاقتحامها من "ثـلاثة محاور"، تحت غطاء غارات التحالف، في حين ترجح بعض المصادر إمكانيةَ تأجيل العملية لإخراج أكبر عدد من العائلات من المنطقة.

سورة البقره كامله بصوت القارئ مشاري العفاسي -
1. Alif-Lam-Mim. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur'an and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings].
2. This is the Book (the Qur'an), whereof there is no doubt, a guidance to those who are Al-Muttaqun [the pious and righteous persons who fear Allah much (abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which He has forbidden) and love Allah much (perform all kinds of good deeds which He has ordained)].
3. Who believe in the Ghaib and perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), and spend out of what we have provided for them [i.e. give Zakat , spend on themselves, their parents, their children, their wives, etc., and also give charity to the poor and also in Allah's Cause - Jihad, etc.].
4. And who believe in (the Qur'an and the Sunnah) which has been sent down (revealed) to you (Muhammad Peace be upon him ) and in [the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel), etc.] which were sent down before you and they believe with certainty in the Hereafter. (Resurrection, recompense of their good and bad deeds, Paradise and Hell, etc.).
5. They are on (true) guidance from their Lord, and they are the successful.
6. Verily, those who disbelieve, it is the same to them whether you (O Muhammad Peace be upon him ) warn them or do not warn them, they will not believe.
7. Allah has set a seal on their hearts and on their hearings, (i.e. they are closed from accepting Allah's Guidance), and on their eyes there is a covering. Theirs will be a great torment.
8. And of mankind, there are some (hypocrites) who say: "We believe in Allah and the Last Day" while in fact they believe not.
9. They (think to) deceive Allah and those who believe, while they only deceive themselves, and perceive (it) not!
10. In their hearts is a disease (of doubt and hypocrisy) and Allah has increased their disease. A painful torment is theirs because they used to tell lies.

Er begleitete Kämpfer an die Front nach Sindschar, das immer noch zum großen Teil von der Terrormiliz IS gehalten wird. Und er besuchte das befreite Kobane. Die Rückeroberung des Städtchens im Norden Syriens Anfang des Jahres war der erste große Sieg gegen den IS und auch ein Zeichen für den kurdischen Aufbruch in der Region. Der Traum von einem autonomen kurdischen Staat im Norden Syriens nimmt Gestalt an.
Die Kurden gelten als die schlagkräftigsten Gegner der Terrormiliz IS in Syrien und im Irak. Syrische Kurdenmilizen verhinderten die Einnahme von Kobane durch den IS und vertrieben die Fanatiker aus einer weiteren Stadt an der Grenze zur Türkei. Die Weltgemeinschaft hoffte bereits, dass die kurdischen Kämpfer auch den Marsch auf das syrische Al Raqqa, die inoffizielle Hauptstadt des sogenannten Islamischen Staates , beginnen würden. From Abu Sa'eed al-Khudri, who said: "Whoever reads Soorat al-Kahf on the night of Jumu'ah, will have a light that will stretch between him and the Ancient House (the Ka'bah)."
(Narrated by al-Daarimi, 3407. This hadeeth was classed as saheeh by Shaykh al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami, 6471)

"Whoever reads Soorat al-Kahf on the day of Jumu'ah, will have a light that will shine from him from one Friday to the next."
(Narrated by al-Haakim, 2/399; al-Bayhaqi, 3/249. Ibn Hajar said in Takhreej al-Adhkaar that this is a hasan hadeeth, and he said, this is the strongest report that has been narrated concerning reading Soorat al-Kahf. See: Fayd al-Qadeer, 6/198. It was classed as saheeh by Shaykh al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami', 6470)

It was narrated that Ibn 'Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: "The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: 'Whoever reads Soorat al-Kahf on the day of Jumu'ah, a light will shine for him from beneath his feet to the clouds of the sky, which will shine for him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will be forgiven (his sins) between the two Fridays.'"
Al-Mundhiri said, this was narrated by Abu Bakr ibn Mardawayh in his Tafseer, with an isnaad with which there was nothing wrong.
(al-Targheeb wa'l-Tarheeb, 1/298)
The soorah may be read during the night or the day of Jumu'ah. The night of Jumu'ah starts from sunset on Thursday, and the day of Jumu'ah ends at sunset. Therefore the time for reading this soorah extends from sunset on Thursday to sunset on Friday.
Al-Mannaawi said:
Al-Haafiz ibn Hajar said in his Amaali: "In some reports it says 'the day of Jumu'ah' and in some reports it says 'the night of Jumu'ah'. They may be reconciled by saying that what is meant is the day which includes the night and vice versa." (Fayd al-Qadeer, 6/199)
