tvN “스타트업” OST PART. 1 ‘미래’ 는 밝은 신스 사운드와 스타일리쉬 한 편곡이 돋보이는 일렉트로 미디엄 팝 장르의 트랙으로 K팝 최고의 걸그룹 'Red Velvet (레드벨벳)'이 가창에 참여하여 멤버들의 각기 다른 개성을 감각적인 트랙 위에 스케치 해냈다.

The future is what will happen in the time after the present. Its arrival is considered inevitable due to the existence of time and the laws of physics. Due to the apparent nature of reality and the unavoidability of the future, everything that currently exists and will exist can be categorized as either permanent, meaning that it will exist forever, or temporary, meaning that it will end. Religious figures such as prophets and diviners have claimed to see into the future. Organized efforts to predict or forecast the future may have derived from observations by early man of heavenly objects.

Padded Room (album)
Padded Room is the second studio album by American rapper Joe Budden, released on February 24, 2009. Recording sessions for the album took place from 2007 to 2008; at Bennett Studios in Englewood, New Jersey, Glenwood Place Studios in Burbank, California and Sundance Studios in Jersey City, New Jersey, and it was mixed and mastered at Cyber Sound Studio in New York City. The record features guest appearances from Emanny, Drew Hudson, The Game and the Junkyard Gang. The album's release was supported by the single "The Future" featuring The Game, and two promotional singles – "In My Sleep" and "Exxxes".
Padded Room debuted at number 42 on the US Billboard 200 chart and number two on the Top Independent Albums chart, with 13,451 copies sold in the first week of release. Many people in the entertainment industry had high expectations for Padded Room. Upon its release, the album received generally favorable reviews from music critics. The New York Times gave the rap album a favorable review, and IGN gave it 8.2/10. It was widely promoted, but its success was less than moderate.

tvN 토일드라마 “스타트업”은 한국의 실리콘 밸리 샌드박스에서 성공을 꿈꾸며 스타트업에 뛰어든 청춘들의 시작(START)과 성장(UP)을 그린 드라마로 ‘당신이 잠든 사이에’, ‘호텔 델루나’를 연출했던 오충환 감독과 ‘피노키오’, ‘당신이 잠든 사이에’ 등 다양한 작품으로 대중들에게 잘 알려진 박혜련 작가가 ‘당신이 잠든 사이에’ 이후 다시 재회한 작품으로 눈길을 모으고 있다.

Scalability is crucial as Elsevier's Scopus data, the biggest scientific abstract repository, covers roughly 250 million authorships from 70 million abstracts covering a few hundred years. - We create a fingerprint for each content by deep learning and/or word2vec algorithms to expedite pairwise similarity calculation. These encoders substantially reduce compute time while maintaining semantic similarity (unlike traditional TFIDF or predefined taxonomies). We will briefly discuss how to optimize word2vec training with high parallelization. Moreover, we show how these encoders can be used to derive a standard representation for all our entities namely such as documents, authors, users, journals, etc. This standard representation can simplify the recommendation problem into a pairwise similarity search and hence it can offer a basic recommender for cross-product applications where we may not have a dedicate recommender engine designed. - Traditional author-disambiguation or record deduplication algorithms are batch-processing with small to no training data. However, we have roughly 25 million authorships that are manually curated or corrected upon user feedback. Hence, it is crucial to maintain historical profiles and hence we have developed a machine learning implementation to deal with data streams and process them in mini batches or one document at a time. We will discuss how to measure the accuracy of such a system, how to tune it and how to process the raw data of pairwise similarity function into final clusters. In the first approach, we supplement the word's context and the LSR's sense descriptions with entries from a distributional thesaurus. The second approach enriches an LSR's sense information by aligning it to other, complementary LSRs. In the second part of the talk, we describe how these techniques, along with evaluation methodologies from traditional WSD, can be adapted for the "disambiguation" of puns, or rather for the automatic identification of their double meanings.

The future is what will happen in the time after the present. Its arrival is considered inevitable due to the existence of time and the laws of physics. "Here we present a general supervised framework for record deduplication and author-disambiguation via Spark. This work differentiates itself by - Application of Databricks and AWS makes this a scalable implementation. Compute resources are comparably lower than traditional legacy technology using big boxes 24/7. Scalability is crucial as Elsevier's Scopus data, the biggest scientific abstract repository, covers roughly 250 million authorships from 70 million abstracts covering a few hundred years. - We create a fingerprint for each content by deep learning and/or word2vec algorithms to expedite pairwise similarity calculation. These encoders substantially reduce compute time while maintaining semantic similarity (unlike traditional TFIDF or predefined taxonomies). We will briefly discuss how to optimize word2vec training with high parallelization. Moreover, we show how these encoders can be used to derive a standard representation for all our entities namely such as documents, authors, users, journals, etc. This standard representation can simplify the recommendation problem into a pairwise similarity search and hence it can offer a basic recommender for cross-product applications where we may not have a dedicate recommender engine designed. - Traditional author-disambiguation or record deduplication algorithms are batch-processing with small to no training data. However, we have roughly 25 million authorships that are manually curated or corrected upon user feedback. Hence, it is crucial to maintain historical profiles and hence we have developed a machine learning implementation to deal with data streams and process them in mini batches or one document at a time. We will discuss how to measure the accuracy of such a system, how to tune it and how to process the raw data of pairwise similarity function into final clusters. Lessons learned from this talk can help all sort of companies where they want to integrate their data or deduplicate their user/customer/product databases.

Abstract: Word sense disambiguation (WSD) – the task of determining which meaning a word carries in a particular context – is a core research problem in computational linguistics. Though it has long been recognized that supervised (i.e., machine learning–based) approaches to WSD can yield impressive results, they require an amount of manually annotated training data that is often too expensive or impractical to obtain. This is a particular problem for under-resourced languages and text domains, and is also a hurdle in well-resourced languages when processing the sort of lexical-semantic anomalies employed for deliberate effect in humour and wordplay. In contrast to supervised systems are knowledge-based techniques, which rely only on pre-existing lexical-semantic resources (LSRs) such as dictionaries and thesauri. These techniques are of more general applicability but tend to suffer from lower performance due to the informational gap between the target word's context and the sense descriptions provided by the LSR. In this seminar, we treat the task of extending the efficacy and applicability of knowledge-based WSD, both generally and for the particular case of English puns. In the first part of the talk, we present two approaches for bridging the information gap and thereby improving WSD coverage and accuracy. In the first approach, we supplement the word's context and the LSR's sense descriptions with entries from a distributional thesaurus. The second approach enriches an LSR's sense information by aligning it to other, complementary LSRs. In the second part of the talk, we describe how these techniques, along with evaluation methodologies from traditional WSD, can be adapted for the "disambiguation" of puns, or rather for the automatic identification of their double meanings.
