UNITE are assisting workers at Borders Books. They are fighting for a better deal for the mostly casual and part time workforce. Penalty rates on weekends and late nights the key demand of the workers. UNITE be organising some actions outside Borders stores to help keep up the pressure. It appears as though Borders is on the back foot, yet this is no time to ease the pressure against this multi-national bully. Borders have been getting away with apalling conditions and pay.
