FILM DESCRIPTION:
A remake of the Spanish film Open Your Eyes (1997), this thriller from director Cameron Crowe bears one of several discarded titles for his previous, Oscar-winning film Almost Famous (2000). Tom Cruise stars as David Ames, a womanizing playboy who finds romantic redemption when he falls in love with his best friend's girlfriend Sofia (Penelope Cruz, reprising her role from the original film). Before that relationship can begin, however, David is coaxed into a car driven by an ex-lover, Julie (Cameron Diaz), who turns out to be suicidal. Driving her car off a bridge, Julie kills herself and horribly disfigures David. Reconstructive surgery and the loving support of Sofia seem to reverse David's luck, but eerie incidents are soon making him question the reality of his existence and his control over his life, even while he is suspected of complicity in Julie's death. Vanilla Sky (2001) bears the expected Crowe trademark of an obsession with recent pop culture and particularly rock music, a more important element of the remake than the original film. That project's writer/director, Alejandro Amenabar, crafted his own supernatural hit the same year with The Others (2001), starring Nicole Kidman, the soon-to-be-ex-wife of Cruise.

Album "Ezoteryka" to jeden z najbardziej wyczekiwanych krążków roku 2015. Śmiało można powiedzieć, że na materiał od ciechanowskiego rapera – Quebonafide – oczekuje z ciekawością całe środowisko rapowe, jeszcze za nim światło dzienne ujrzała okładka czy nawet nazwa debiutanckiego solo.
Artysta zaskarbił sobie szacunek raperów i słuchaczy ciężką pracą w podziemiu i ostatnim Mixtape, który dorównywał poziomem mainstreamowym produkcjom, tchnąc świeżością i nową energią w polskim rapie. „Eklektyka” była wystrzałem i pokazaniem się słuchaczom, natomiast „Ezoteryka” ma ugruntować pozycję utalentowanego rapera i pozwolić mu wypłynąć na szerokie wody, jakimi jest oficjalne wydawnictwo.
Ezoteryka to przede wszystkim zabawa słowem na wysokim poziomie oraz mnóstwo emocji zawartych w 17 dopracowanych do perfekcji utworach. Raper pokazuje olbrzymi wachlarz umiejętności technicznych, nie popadając jednak w skrajność, dzięki czemu nie dochodzi do przerostu formy nad treścią. Album z pewnością zaskarbi sobie fanów nowoczesnych brzmień i niekonwencjonalnych rozwiązań. Zdecydowanie jest to pozycja obowiązkowa dla wszystkich otwartych rapowych głów.
Gościnnie pojawili się tylko najlepsi reprezentanci rapu w Polsce. Łącznie pojawiają się tylko w trzech numerach, co czyni z „Ezoteryki” krążek mocno osobisty. Muzycznie album to suma pracy najbardziej postępowych producentów na scenie.

Vanilla Sky is a 2001 American science fiction thriller film directed, co-produced and co-written by Cameron Crowe. The film is an English-language remake of the 1997 Spanish movie Abre los ojos (Open Your Eyes), the screenplay for which was written by Alejandro Amenábar and Mateo Gil. The film stars Tom Cruise, Penélope Cruz (in a repeat of her performance in Abre los ojos) and Cameron Diaz, with Jason Lee and Kurt Russell.
Vanilla Sky has been described as "an odd mixture of science fiction, romance and reality warp", "part Beautiful People fantasy, part New Age investigation of the Great Beyond," a "love story and a struggle for the soul," and an "erotic adventure, romance, mystery, and psychological thriller, with a dose of science fiction."
David Aames (Tom Cruise) was the wealthy owner of a large publishing firm in New York City after the death of his father. From a prison cell, David, in a prosthetic mask, tells his story to psychiatrist Dr. Curtis McCabe (Kurt Russell): enjoying the bachelor lifestyle, he is introduced to Sofia Serrano (Penélope Cruz) by his best friend, Brian Shelby (Jason Lee), at a party. David and Sofia spend a night together talking, and fall in love. When David's former girlfriend, Julianna "Julie" Gianni (Cameron Diaz), hears of Sofia, she attempts to kill herself and David in a car crash. While Julie dies, David remains alive, but his face is horribly disfigured, forcing him to wear a mask to hide the injuries. Unable to come to grips with the mask, he gets drunk on a night out at a bar with Sofia, and he is left to wallow in the street.

Thomas Cruise Mapother IV (
/ˈtɒməs ˈkruːz ˈmeɪpɒθər/; born July 3, 1962), widely known as Tom Cruise, is an American film actor and producer. He has been nominated for three Academy Awards and has won three Golden Globe Awards for the same movies: Born on the Fourth of July (1989), Jerry Maguire (1996), Magnolia (1999). He started his career with the movie Endless Love. Cruise's first appearance in a major film was in 1981's Taps. His first leading role was in the film Risky Business, released in August 1983. Cruise played the role of a heroic naval pilot in the popular and successful 1986 film Top Gun, and also secret agent Ethan Hunt in the series of Mission: Impossible action films.
He has starred in a variety of other successful films, including: Rain Man (1988), Days of Thunder (1990), A Few Good Men (1992), Vanilla Sky (2001), Minority Report (2002), The Last Samurai (2003), Collateral (2004), and War of the Worlds (2005).
Since 2005, Cruise and Paula Wagner have been in charge of the United Artists film studio, with Cruise as producer and star and Wagner as the chief executive. Cruise is also known for his support of and adherence to the Church of Scientology.

FILM DESCRIPTION:
A remake of the Spanish film Open Your Eyes (1997), this thriller from director Cameron Crowe bears one of several discarded titles for his previous, Oscar-winning film Almost Famous (2000). Tom Cruise stars as David Ames, a womanizing playboy who finds romantic redemption when he falls in love with his best friend's girlfriend Sofia (Penelope Cruz, reprising her role from the original film). Before that relationship can begin, however, David is coaxed into a car driven by an ex-lover, Julie (Cameron Diaz), who turns out to be suicidal. Driving her car off a bridge, Julie kills herself and horribly disfigures David. Reconstructive surgery and the loving support of Sofia seem to reverse David's luck, but eerie incidents are soon making him question the reality of his existence and his control over his life, even while he is suspected of complicity in Julie's death. Vanilla Sky (2001) bears the expected Crowe trademark of an obsession with recent pop culture and particularly rock music, a more important element of the remake than the original film. That project's writer/director, Alejandro Amenabar, crafted his own supernatural hit the same year with The Others (2001), starring Nicole Kidman, the soon-to-be-ex-wife of Cruise.

Album "Ezoteryka" to jeden z najbardziej wyczekiwanych krążków roku 2015. Śmiało można powiedzieć, że na materiał od ciechanowskiego rapera – Quebonafide – oczekuje z ciekawością całe środowisko rapowe, jeszcze za nim światło dzienne ujrzała okładka czy nawet nazwa debiutanckiego solo.
Artysta zaskarbił sobie szacunek raperów i słuchaczy ciężką pracą w podziemiu i ostatnim Mixtape, który dorównywał poziomem mainstreamowym produkcjom, tchnąc świeżością i nową energią w polskim rapie. „Eklektyka” była wystrzałem i pokazaniem się słuchaczom, natomiast „Ezoteryka” ma ugruntować pozycję utalentowanego rapera i pozwolić mu wypłynąć na szerokie wody, jakimi jest oficjalne wydawnictwo.
Ezoteryka to przede wszystkim zabawa słowem na wysokim poziomie oraz mnóstwo emocji zawartych w 17 dopracowanych do perfekcji utworach. Raper pokazuje olbrzymi wachlarz umiejętności technicznych, nie popadając jednak w skrajność, dzięki czemu nie dochodzi do przerostu formy nad treścią. Album z pewnością zaskarbi sobie fanów nowoczesnych brzmień i niekonwencjonalnych rozwiązań. Zdecydowanie jest to pozycja obowiązkowa dla wszystkich otwartych rapowych głów.
Gościnnie pojawili się tylko najlepsi reprezentanci rapu w Polsce. Łącznie pojawiają się tylko w trzech numerach, co czyni z „Ezoteryki” krążek mocno osobisty. Muzycznie album to suma pracy najbardziej postępowych producentów na scenie.

FILM DESCRIPTION:
A remake of the Spanish film Open Your Eyes (1997), this thriller from director Cameron Crowe bears one of several discarded titles for his previous, Oscar-winning film Almost Famous (2000). Tom Cruise stars as David Ames, a womanizing playboy who finds romantic redemption when he falls in love with his best friend's girlfriend Sofia (Penelope Cruz, reprising her role from the original film). Before that relationship can begin, however, David is coaxed into a car driven by an ex-lover, Julie (Cameron Diaz), who turns out to be suicidal. Driving her car off a bridge, Julie kills herself and horribly disfigures David. Reconstructive surgery and the loving support of Sofia seem to reverse David's luck, but eerie incidents are soon making him question the reality of his existence and his control over his life, even while he is suspected of complicity in Julie's death. Vanilla Sky (2001) bears the expected Crowe trademark of an obsession with recent pop culture and particularly rock music, a more important element of the remake than the original film. That project's writer/director, Alejandro Amenabar, crafted his own supernatural hit the same year with The Others (2001), starring Nicole Kidman, the soon-to-be-ex-wife of Cruise.

Secret in Their Eyes is out this week, and while it’s an intense thriller with some serious acting heft, it just doesn’t quite stack up against the cracking 2009 Argentine original ... Here are my favourite American remakes of foreign flicks ... * Review ... Now there are some remakes that only just edge out the original, like Open Your Eyes and Vanilla Sky, and with the case with the two Tattoos, it’s almost a dead heat ... ....
