Mayu
The Mayu is a river in Rakhine State, Myanmar (Burma). It and the surrounding region, known as the Mayu region, is named after the nearby Mayu Mountain. It was formerly known as the Manlayuwaddy River. It is the third most used river in Rakhine State, and is 96 miles (154 kilometers) long and drains into the Bay of Bengal, near Sittwe. It passes through Buthidaung, Rathedaung and Sittwe Township.

Hiro suggests that single Shuuichi get a girlfriend, but as he is out walking in the park one night, fate takes a decidedly different turn. A gust of wind blows Shuuichi's tentative lyrics away from him and into the path of Eiri Yuki, one of the most famous romance writers in Japan. When the older man reads his words and insults him, Shuuichi is crushed and he immediately starts to hate him. But something about Eiri Yuki gets under Shuuichi's skin, and before too long the forces of gravity, and perhaps love too, start their mysterious work...
