SEN. TITO SOTTO RESIGN!! TRANSLATION IN TAGALOG IS STILL PLAGIARISM! - SEN. ROBERT KENNEDY
Plagiarism is not a crime in
Philippines, says Sen.
Tito Sotto. This country is hopeless. The senators and
Enrile simply make this issue as a joke. Our lawmakers must prove that he is wrong.
Don't let this pass without penalties and demand for his resignation!

MANILA, Philippines --
Senate Majority Floor Leader Tito Sotto delivered the last part of his "turno en contra" speech entirely in
Filipino on Wednesday to fend off accusations that he continued to plagiarize his speech from blogs and other online resources.
Sen.
Jinggoy Estrada first asked Sotto if his entire speech was his.
Sotto replied: "A oo.
He said he did not use a disclaimer except for material wherein he clearly cited the authors. "Except dun sa mga binanggit ko, galing SA AKIN ito," he said.

This clown has done it again!
Senator Tito Sotto can't even make his own speech in
Tagalog.
Instead, portions of Sen.
Robert Kennedy's speech was translated to Tagalog and what a nerve as if they were his own wordings. Galing sa akin ito?
Wow he lied in front of other senators. Resign Sotto!
Obey the laws! Do not violate the laws!

Sen. Robert Kennedy
Speech 1966
South Africa:
"Few will have the greatness to bend history itself, but each of us can work to change a small portion of events, and in the total of all those acts will be written the history of this generation. "
"It is from numberless diverse acts of courage and belief that human history is shaped. Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring those ripples build a current which can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance."

Senator
Miriam Defensor-Santiago, a long-time academic in the field of law, doesn't buy
Senate Majority Leader Vicente Sotto III's defense that speaking in Filipino gets him off the hook from charges he plagiarized
English passages from a speech by the late US Sen.
Robert F. Kennedy.
"I don't accept that because as
I've said in the academe, whether you translate or not, whether you interpret or not, it makes no
difference. You have to attribute,"
Santiago said in a news conference following a speaking engagement on Saturday.
"In this event, the Sotto event, he can be allowed a certain freedom, although I wish that he would adopt the general attitude that it's always best to attribute whether it's specific or general," she said.
