This Performance is inspired by the upcoming documentary "Spit":
The documentary follows a group of young west island amateur rappers, trying to make it in the music industry, commonly known as the "rap game". It aims to showcase the work and devotion needed for a chance to succeed within the industry. The documentary is hosted by local artist 4Rent, and features some of the work by MTX, Toxic, Undisclosed, Great White, and Raven. Some of the major themes include questioning the ideas of kids growing up in the suburbs, while breaking the barriers of some of the stigmas associated with hip hop artists. At the end of the day, these young local rappers make do with what they have, and express themselves through this art form.

John Abbott (actor)
John Albert Chamberlain Kefford (5 June 1905 – 24 May 1996) was an English character actor professionally known as John Abbott. His memorable roles include the invalid Frederick Fairlie in the 1948 film The Woman in White and the pacifist Ayelborne in the Star Trek episode "Errand of Mercy". He also played Sesmar on an episode of Lost in Space, "The Dream Monster" (1966). Abbott was known as a Shakespearean actor.
Biography
He was born in Stepney, London, England on 5 June 1905. He had a sister, Ivy Skeates and a brother Harold Kefford.
In 1934 he made his stage debut in a revival of Aureng-zebe.
In the early days of World War II, Abbott worked at the British Embassy in Moscow. When the time came to leave, he had to go by way of the United States. While in the U.S., he was offered a part in Hollywood in 1941 and ended up living there for the rest of his life.
He continued to find work, although he was blacklisted during the Red Scare of the 1950s. Eventually, a producer, wanting to hire him, was able to get his listing removed. In his final years, Abbott taught acting students for free.

Hosted by Truman Bradley, a 1940s film actor and former war correspondent, each episode introduced stories which had an extrapolated scientific, or pseudo-scientific emphasis based on actual scientific data available in the 1950s. Typically, the storylines related to the life or work of scientists, engineers, inventors and explorers. The program concentrated on such concepts as space flight, robots, telepathy, flying saucers, time travel, and the intervention of extraterrestrials in human affairs.
Airing a total of 78 25-26 min. episodes, the series, also known as Beyond the Limits in second run syndication during the 1960s, was unusually for the time filmed in colour for the first season and in black & white for the second. The show was a forerunner of similar shows, such as The Twilight Zone and The Outer Limits.

But here, as a man who comes out in the twilight of his life, he seems to have a killer role, and from the glimpses of the film we've seen so far, the performance looks like a joy. Plus, there are hints of terminal illness in the film's plotline, which can't exactly hurt. With Focus Features behind the film, we've got a hunch that this could finally be Plummer's year.

Abbott Vaughn Meader (March 20, 1936 – October 29, 2004), known professionally as Vaughn Meader, was an American comedian, impersonator, musician, and film actor.
Meader began his career as a musician but later found fame in the early 1960s after the release of the 1962 comedy record The First Family. The album spoofed President John F. Kennedy – who was played by Meader – and went on to win the Grammy Award for Album of the Year in 1963. At the peak of his popularity, he performed his Kennedy impersonation on variety shows and in nightclubs around the country and was profiled in several magazines.
Meader's career came to an abrupt end after President Kennedy was assassinated in November 1963. He attempted to take his career in another direction by performing non-Kennedy related comedy but had little success as he was typecast. He eventually returned to playing music in his native Maine where he also managed a pub. Meader died in October 2004.

Several thousand people rallied outside parliament this evening, Monday, in defence of left wing Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn. Hundreds more joined similar rallies in Newcastle and Manchester to defend Corbyn against moves by Labour MPs to get rid of him.
Labour left group Momentum, which organised the London rally said 10,000 turned out to support Corbyn. It came as Corbyn faced Labour MPs and peers inside parliament, who were meeting to debate a motion of no confidence in his leadership.
The rallies had the feel of Corbyn’s huge public meetings during his leadership election campaign last year.
Speaking at the rally in London, Corbyn reflected the reasons why many of his supporters voted for him last year. He said, “We’re absolutely the spirit of hope—not the spirit of despair”. He also said Labour supporters needed to build a “politics of unity” to beat austerity.
But the rallies were also angry and defiant. It's incredible and appallling that just when all the attention should be on the Tories' problems, the right has divided Labour.
