The Human condition is exemplified by a baboon in this clip from the 1974 Jamie Uys documentary, 'Animals are Beautiful People'.
In the clip, the baboon is ensnared by a Makalahadi tribesman who exploits the baboon's nature and its stubborn refusal to let go of a handful of seeds.
And thus mankind is doomed by its unwillingness to let go of the useless garbage; the manufacture of which perpetuates the sacred economy.

This South African film tells about life in these areas in a humorous way. It was directed and written by Jamie Uys, who is most famous for his later film The Gods Must Be Crazy.
The film begins in the Namib desert, with the narrator saying: "You'd think nobody could make a living here." But the film proves the opposite and shows the lives of the animals that live there. The narrator concludes: "But to the Oryx and the little creatures of the Namib, this waterless, hostile desert is paradise."

We took a snake and put it under the car's hood and asked petrol attendants to check the water! We also stopped next to the road and asked random people walking by to help open the hood as it required 2 people to do.
This was all done in Boksburg, South Africa!

Die betrunkenen Tiere die dann torkelnd rumlaufen sorgen für eine komische Darbietung. Am Morgen sehen wir diese Tiere mit einem riesigen Kater. Ein paar Experten behaupten, dass einige Szenen wahrscheinlich nachgestellt wurden, Elefanten sind beispielsweise zu groß, und trinken zu viel Wasser (verdünnt den Alkohol) um betrunken zu werden.

The video depicts baboons, elephants, giraffes, warthogs and other animals eating rotten, fermented fruit of the Marula tree. The intoxicated animals then stagger around for comic effect. In the morning, we see one baboon wake up, disheveled, next to a warthog, and quietly exit the burrow, as not to wake her. Some experts have claimed that some scenes were likely staged; elephants would be too large, for example, and drink too much water (diluting the alcohol) to get intoxicated.

Jacobus Johannes Uys (30 May 1921 – 29 January 1996), better known as Jamie Uys, was a South African film director.
Prior to his foray into film, Uys was a math teacher in his hometown of Boksburg. He then married Hettie, a fellow math teacher and the couple started farming and opening trading posts along the Palala River. He was later appointed local magistrate and Justice of the Peace. In an interview, he stated, "Every Tuesday I crossed the wildest country and swam through rivers to get to the police post where I could hold court".
He made his debut as a film director in 1951 with the Afrikaans-language film Daar doer in die bosveld. He directed 24 films in total.
Uys received the 1981 Grand Prix at the Festival International du Film de Comedy Vevey for The Gods Must Be Crazy, and in 1974 he received the Hollywood Foreign Press Association award for best documentary for Beautiful People.
The two Beautiful People films were documentaries about the plant and animal life in South Africa, Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe, especially desert creatures. A highlight of the film included a scene with elephants, warthogs, monkeys and other animals staggering around after eating rotten, fermented marula fruit.

In the morning, we see one baboon wake up, disheveled, next to a warthog, and quietly exit the burrow, as not to wake her. Some experts have claimed that some scenes were likely staged; elephants would be too large, for example, and drink too much water (diluting the alcohol) to get intoxicated.

With Musical Director Godfrey Johnson at the piano, Bambi takes a raunchy ride to the other side of daily life: relationships, trust, happiness, hope, love and fidelity. Sex is the full-frontal focus, with words, music, toys and tinsel. Recommended to anyone who believes in freedom of expression and the right to choose what is best for them when the lights are low-all presented with the wisdom of experience, humour of recall and songs that remind and remain.
