Aden (UK /ˈeɪdən/ AY-duhn, US /ˈɑːdɛn/ AH-den; Arabic: عدن ʻAdin/ʻAdan Yemeni pronunciation: [ˈʕæden, ˈʕædæn]) is a seaport city in Yemen, located by the eastern approach to the Red Sea (the Gulf of Aden), some 170 kilometres (110 mi) east of Bab-el-Mandeb. Its population is approximately 800,000 people. Aden's ancient, natural harbour lies in the crater of a dormant volcano which now forms a peninsula, joined to the mainland by a low isthmus. This harbour, Front Bay, was first used by the ancient Kingdom of Awsan between the 5th and 7th centuries BC. The modern harbour is on the other side of the peninsula. Aden gives its name to the Gulf of Aden.
Aden consists of a number of distinct sub-centres: Crater, the original port city; Ma'alla, the modern port; Tawahi, known as "Steamer Point" in the colonial period; and the resorts of Gold Mohur. Khormaksar, located on the isthmus that connects Aden proper with the mainland, includes the city's diplomatic missions, the main offices of Aden University, and Aden International Airport (the former British Royal Air Force station RAF Khormaksar), Yemen's second biggest airport. On the mainland are the sub-centres of Sheikh Othman, a former oasis area; Al-Mansura, a town planned by the British; and Madinat ash-Sha'b (formerly Madinat al-Itihad), the site designated as the capital of the South Arabian Federation and now home to a large power/desalinization facility and additional faculties of Aden University.
John Aden Gillett (born 8 November 1958) is a British actor best known for playing the role of Jack Maddox on the popular BBC series The House of Eliott.
Gillet was born in the city of Aden, Yemen, from which he got his name. He attended Elizabeth College, Guernsey
Aden trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts. He has received a number of awards and honors for his work, including the Tree Prize, the Sir Emile Littler Prize, the Vanbrugh Prize and the Radio Prize. He received the Theatre World Award for Best Newcomer on Broadway for his performance in "An Inspector Calls" at the Royale Theatre, Broadway.
He played many roles on the stage, including Mr Banks in a new production of Mary Poppins and Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing. In films, he appeared in The Winslow Boy and The Borrowers.
He is active in the Theatre Royal at Bath with the Peter Hall Company in numerous productions of Shakespearean plays and other classics, including Antony and Cleopatra, As You Like It, and at The Old Vic in The Tempest. He also appeared in Noël Coward's Blithe Spirit, and Private Lives, and in George Bernard Shaw's Man and Superman.
The Winslow is a fictional reptilian creature measuring 66 centimeters in length that plays a prominent role in many of comics artist Phil Foglio's various graphic novels, most notably Buck Godot and MythAdventures (with occasional guest appearances in the Girl Genius strip , , and ).
The Winslow is technically sentient and capable of speech, though rarely says anything more than the informal, colloquial greeting "Hi!", which it often enjoys repeating ad nauseam. Indeed, this diminutive creature would be completely unremarkable save for the fact that it is utterly indestructible and presumably immortal, and figures prominently one way or another into fully three-fourths of the galaxy's known religions.
Despite its religious ubiquity, the true nature and purpose of the Winslow is unknown. Some cultures fear it, some worship it, but nearly everyone wants it for their own purposes and is willing to go to any imaginable lengths to obtain it. There are endless explanations as to why the Winslow is so important, despite the fact that it displays none of the 14 Accepted Signs of Divinity (other than #14, "Be the Winslow"); yet most of these explanations are depressingly circular, e.g. "The Winslow is the exact shape and size of the Perfect Lizard of Love, which, of course, is the Winslow." Despite the fact that it is immortal and indestructible (fairly impressive in and of itself), the Winslow's importance may be due to nothing more than the fact that everyone else seems to think it's Pretty Damn Important (i.e., that it's a MacGuffin).

A music video about The Impressionists (BBC) with Richard Armitage as Claude Monet. The video mainly focused on young Monet, though I also tried to show some of the other characters (played by Amanda Root, Aden Gillett, etc) Thank you for watching :)
Based on archive letters, records and interviews from the time, the series records the lives of the artists who were to transform the art world. A tale of poverty and of a struggle for recognition, set against a backdrop of war and revolution. At the heart is the brotherhood of artists, bonded by enduring friendships and their commitment to a new type of art. The story is led by the paintings. Some of the world's most memorable art works are recreated, following the same techniques that the artists used at the time. The series reveals how Claude Monet took just 40 minutes to paint his seminal work Impression, Sunrise in a race against time to capture the light; why Manet's depiction of Olympia, in which his model brazenly gazes out of the canvas, so outraged Parisian society; and how Céz...
