Sven Rudolf Sidenius Gyldmark (21 April 1904 – 5 October 1981) was a Danish film score composer. He was the brother of Hugo Gyldmark and Leonard who were also composers.
Sven (in Danish and Norwegian also Svend and in Norwegian also Svein) is a Nordic first name which is used throughout Scandinavia, Estonia, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, and Hungary. The name itself is Old Norse for "young man" or "young warrior". The original spelling in Old Norse was sveinn (whence Eng swain, "servant boy"). Over the centuries, many northern European rulers have carried the name including Sweyn I of Denmark (Sven Gabelbart), who established Danish rule over Norway and successfully invaded England in the year 1002. An old legend relates the pagan king Blot-Sven ordered the execution of the Anglo-Saxon monk Saint Eskil.
In medieval Swedish "sven" (or "sven av vapen" (sven of arms)) is a term for squire. The female equivalent Svenja, though seemingly Scandinavian, is not common anywhere outside of German-speaking countries.
The Icelandic and Faroese version of Sven/Svend is Sveinn (pronounced Svay-dn in Icelandic).
Gull-Maj Norin (20 April 1913–27 November 1997) was a Danish actress of stage and film who performed in Denmark and Sweden during the 1930s and 40's. She is best known for her leading role as the suspected serial murderer in the 1944 film noir thriller Melody of Murder.
Norin was born in Helsingborg, Sweden, the daughter of the Swedish actress Ann-Sofi Norin (1893–1942), then moved to Denmark when she was 10.
At the age of 18, Norin appeared on stage in a production of Lysistrata at Copenhagen's Riddersalen Theater. The following year Norin landed a small role as a choirgirl in Emanuel Gregers's comedy film Odds 777. During the next several years she performed as a cabaret singer and stage actress in theaters in Denmark and Sweden.
Following several small film roles, she gained international recognition as the heroine in George Schnéevoigt's melodrama Fredløs (Outlawed). Hollywood director Josef von Sternberg saw her performance and asked Norin to replace the injured Merle Oberon in his film I, Claudius. She agreed and signed a contract with Alexander Korda, but the outbreak of World War II prevented the production. Norin remained in Scandinavia, working for ASA Film company in such movies as De Tre, måske fire, Nordhavets mænd and with Max Hansen in Wienerbarnet. With her Swedish background, she also made several films in Sweden.
Ib Christian Albert von Cotta Schønberg (23 October 1902 – 24 September 1955) was a Danish film actor, and is considered one of the leading actors of Danish film in the 20th century.
The son of a chemist, Ib Schønberg was interested in acting from an early age. He made his debut in 1920 and worked for more than ten years as a stage actor.
Schønberg made his screen debut in Benjamin Christensen's 1922 horror/documentary Häxan. By the 1930s he was an established comic actor, often in main roles as leaders of buffoon duos, well-meaning policemen, or more substantial “uncle types”. During World War II he suddenly appeared as a dramatic actor, and from then until his death he maintained his position as one of the greatest actors of Danish art films, playing serious roles alongside comic roles.
He was well known for his ability to perform “the colossus with feet of clay”, apparently solid and superior characters — both sympathetic and unsympathetic — who fall apart by the end of the film. Among his best-known serious performances are his mean-cultivated informer type in Afsporet (1942 - Derailed); his leader af a children’s home, a sadist with shattered nerves in the social film Kampen mod uretten (1949 - The Struggle Against Injustice) and his two portraits of alcoholics in Ta’ hvad du vil ha’ (1947 – Take What You Want) and Café Paradis (1951). In his later years he was a regular participant in the so-called “Morten Korch films” (based upon the regional novels of a very popular Danish light literate) often placed as the fatherly friend of the hero and his serial role as a widower with children in the popular Far til fire (The Father of Four) films.
'Rock-a-bye Baby' is a nursery rhyme and lullaby. The melody is a variant of the English satirical ballad Lillibullero. It has a Roud Folk Song Index number of 2768.
The first printed version from Mother Goose's Melody (London, c. 1765), has the following lyrics:
The version from Songs for the Nursery (London, 1805), contains the wording:
Alternate Lyrics as shown in The Real Mother Goose published in 1916:
The most common version used today is:
Various theories exist to explain the origins of the rhyme.
One theory suggests the rhyme narrates a mother gently rocking her baby to sleep, as if the baby were riding the treetops during a breeze; then, when the mother lowers the baby to her crib, the song says "down will come baby."
Another identifies the rhyme as the first poem written on American soil, suggesting it may date from the 17th century and have been written by an English immigrant who observed the way native-American women rocked their babies in birch-bark cradles, which were suspended from the branches of trees, allowing the wind to rock the baby to sleep. A difficulty with this theory is that the words appeared in print first in England in c. 1765.

Her er en populær sang fra filmen Far til Fire (1953). Her i en swing udgave som jeg synes passer godt.
