Rey, Iran
Rey or Ray [Pronunciation: rā] (Persian: شهر ری, Shahr-e-Ray, "City of Ray"), also known as Rhages (/ˈreɪdʒəz/; Greek: Ῥάγαι, Rhagai; Latin: Rhagae or Rhaganae) and formerly as Arsacia, is the capital of Rey County, Tehran Province, Iran, and is the oldest existing city in the province.
Ray today has been absorbed into the Greater Tehran metropolitan area. Ray is connected via the Tehran Metro to the rest of Tehran and has many industries and factories in operation. Limited excavations of what was not bulldozed began in 1997 in collaboration with the Iranian Cultural Heritage and Tourism Organization (ICHTO), the Department of Archaeological Sciences of the University of Bradford and the Department of Archaeology of the University of Tehran.
Note on spelling: According to the Iranian Chamber Society, the correct spelling of the city in both English and Persian is Ray, though variations in spelling also exist. The city university also uses the spelling Ray ("Azad University, Shahr-e-Ray"), as does the Encyclopædia Iranica published by Columbia University.

Ray City is a city in Berrien County, Georgia, United States. The population was 1,090 at the 2010 census.
Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.8 square miles (2.1 km2), all of it land.
Demographics
As of the census of 2000, there were 746 people, 296 households, and 203 families residing in the city. The population density was 936.3 people per square mile (360.0/km²). There were 341 housing units at an average density of 428.0 per square mile (164.6/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 76.41% White, 20.78% African American, 0.13% Native American, 0.54% Asian, 0.94% from other races, and 1.21% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.61% of the population.
There were 296 households out of which 39.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 47.6% were married couples living together, 15.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 31.1% were non-families. 27.7% of all households were made up of individuals and 11.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.52 and the average family size was 3.07.

Cheshmeh-Ali (Shahr-e-Rey)
Cheshmeh Ali is the name of an ancient ground in the southern hillsides of Alborz and in the ancient land of Rey. A water spring is boiling from the soil of this land that backs to the six to eight thousand years ago. This large rock was the place of Reybandi castle or Tabrak Castle related to about 1200 years ago. The ancient name of Cheshmeh Ali was mentioned in the historical reports of Souren that is the name of one of the great Parthian dynasties. Rey city, the spring capital of Parthian empire, was the place of Anahita worship in Iran with plenty of water. Therefore, there is a tight relationship between this spring and Anahita goddess, the goddess of water and fertility in ancient Iran.

سلام عزیزان خوش آمدید به کانال من . من علی هستم و امروز قصد دارم بازار سنتی و جذاب شهر ری را به شما نشان بدهم.
بازار سنتی شهر ری یا شاه عبدالعظیم یکی از قدیمی ترین بازار های تهران و شهر ری میباشد. این بازار در زمان صفویه در کنار حرم شاه عبدالعظیم ساخته شده و در زمان امیرکبیر این بازار بازسازی شده است.
شما امروزه همه چیز میتوانید در این بازار تهیه کنید که نسبتا هم قیمت خوبی دارد. این بازار از قدیم بخاطر جاده ابریشم به ادویه جات خودش معروف بوده و همچنین لوازم و وسایل سنتی. این بازار بخاطر کباب های خودش هم محبوب هست که به جرات میتوانم بگویم نمونه اون رو در جایی پیدا نمی کنید. این بازار امروزه به دو قسمتی قدیمی و جدید تقسیم شده است.

شهر ری مرکز شهرستان ری در استان تهران ایران است. ری از کهنترین شهرهای جهان است بهطوریکه این منطقه را در گذشته «شیخ البلاد» میگفتند. تاریخ پیدایش ری به زمان اقوام آریایی میرسد و ری از تمام شهرهای ماد بزرگتر بود. ری در لغت به معنای شهر سلطنتی است. ساکن و اهل ری را رازی مینامند. ری در بخشی از دوره زیاریان و نیز سلجوقیان پایتخت ایران بودهاست. این شهر در طول تاریخ به نامهای مختلفی خوانده میشده، راکس، راگز، راگا، رغه، ارشکیه، راگو، راگیا، راگیانا، رام اردشیرامالبلاد، ری شهر، شیخ البلاد و محمدیه از نامهایی بودند که ری در هر دوره به مناسبتی با یکی از این نامها خوانده میشده. بنابر آنچه که در اوستا آمده ری سیزدهمین شهری است که درجهان ساخته شدهاست. تاریخ سکونت در این شهر به ۶۰۰۰ سال پیش از میلاد برمیگردد. اگر چه ری همواره یکی از شهرهای مهم ایران باستان بهشمار میرفت دوره ای پایتخت در ایران باستان بود. بر مبنای آخرین داده های دقیق جغرافیایی درازای شهر ری ۱۴ کیلومتر می باشد. این شهر در قرن چهارم هجری بزرگترین مراکز چهارگانه ایالت جبال بودهاست. ابن حوقل گوید بعد از بغداد آبادتر از ری شهری در شرق نیست، جز آنکه نیشابور به وسعت از آن بیشتر و بزرگتر است.
با وجود اینکه شهر ری مرکز شهرستان ری است، این شهر منطقه ۲۰ شهرداری تهران نیز محسوب میشود. در فرهنگ عامیانه به این شهر به واسطه مدفون بودن عبدالعظیم حسنی، شاه عبدالعظیم نیز میگویند.

Ray city is the center of Ray city in Tehran province of Iran. Ray is one of the oldest cities in the world, so this area was called "Sheikh Al-Balad" in the past. The history of the creation of Rey dates back to the time of the Aryan tribes, and Rey was bigger than all the cities of Media. Ray literally means royal city. Residents and people of Ray are called Razi. Ray was the capital of Iran in part of the Ziyarian and Seljuk periods. This city has been called by different names throughout history, Raks, Rags, Raga, Ragha, Arshkiyeh, Ragu, Ragya, Ragyana, Ram Ardashiram al-Balad, Ray Shahr, Sheikh Balad and Muhammadiyah were some of the names that Ray was associated with one of the These names were read. According to what is mentioned in the Avesta, Ray is the thirteenth city that was built. The date of settlement in this city goes back to 6000 years BC. Although Ray has always been considered one of the important cities of ancient Iran, it was once the capital of ancient Iran. Based on the latest accurate geographical data, the length of Ray city is 14 km. In the 4th century of Hijri, this city was the largest of the four centers of Jabal province. Ibn Hawqal says that after Baghdad, there is no city in the east more affluent than Ray, except that Neyshabur is bigger and bigger than it.
Although Ray city is the center of Ray city, this city is also considered to be the 20th district of Tehran municipality. In popular culture, this city is also called Shah Abdul Azim due to the fact that Abdul Azim Hosni is buried there.
شهر ری مرکز شهرستان ری در استان تهران ایران است. ری از کهنترین شهرهای جهان است بهطوریکه این منطقه را در گذشته «شیخ البلاد» میگفتند. تاریخ پیدایش ری به زمان اقوام آریایی میرسد و ری از تمام شهرهای ماد بزرگتر بود. ری در لغت به معنای شهر سلطنتی است. ساکن و اهل ری را رازی مینامند. ری در بخشی از دوره زیاریان و نیز سلجوقیان پایتخت ایران بودهاست. این شهر در طول تاریخ به نامهای مختلفی خوانده میشده، راکس، راگز، راگا، رغه، ارشکیه، راگو، راگیا، راگیانا، رام اردشیرامالبلاد، ری شهر، شیخ البلاد و محمدیه از نامهایی بودند که ری در هر دوره به مناسبتی با یکی از این نامها خوانده میشده. بنابر آنچه که در اوستا آمده ری سیزدهمین شهری است که درجهان ساخته شدهاست. تاریخ سکونت در این شهر به ۶۰۰۰ سال پیش از میلاد برمیگردد. اگر چه ری همواره یکی از شهرهای مهم ایران باستان بهشمار میرفت دوره ای پایتخت در ایران باستان بود. بر مبنای آخرین داده های دقیق جغرافیایی درازای شهر ری ۱۴ کیلومتر می باشد. این شهر در قرن چهارم هجری بزرگترین مراکز چهارگانه ایالت جبال بودهاست. ابن حوقل گوید بعد از بغداد آبادتر از ری شهری در شرق نیست، جز آنکه نیشابور به وسعت از آن بیشتر و بزرگتر است.
با وجود اینکه شهر ری مرکز شهرستان ری است، این شهر منطقه ۲۰ شهرداری تهران نیز محسوب میشود. در فرهنگ عامیانه به این شهر به واسطه مدفون بودن عبدالعظیم حسنی، شاه عبدالعظیم نیز میگویند.

This market has a structure consisting of plaster, brick, clay and mud and in terms of age it belongs to the Safavid era (about 500 years ago).

Tuğrul Tower (also transliterated Toghrul, Tughrol, or Tughrul) is a 12th-century monument, located in the city of Rey, Iran. Tuğrul Tower is near Rashkan Castle.
The 20-metre-tall (66 ft) brick tower is the tomb of Seljuk ruler Tuğrul Beg, who died in Rey in 1063. Originally, like other monuments of its time, it was capped by a conical dome (گنبد, gonbad), which collapsed during an earthquake.[when?]
The thickness of the walls varies from 1.75 to 2.75 meters. The inner and outer diameters are 11 and 16 meters, respectively. The exterior shape is that of a polygon with 24 angles in its design, which is thought to contribute to the structure's stability against tremors.
At the top of the tower Kufic inscriptions were originally observable.
The tower is protected by Iran's Cultural Heritage Organization.
In some texts this place is called Burj Khalifa Yazid. According to some experts idea, this tower is like a clock pointer and the time can be recognized by the sunshine on its congresses.

Since ancient times, this place was one of the centers for selling spices, traditional medicines, and commercial goods, which were used by merchants through the Silk Road. This bazaar has a structure consisting of plaster, brick, clay and mud and it belongs to the Safavid period (about 500 years ago).
بازار شهر ری مربوط به اواخر دوره قاجار است و در شهر ری، کنار حرم عبدالعظیم واقع شده و این اثر در تاریخ ۲ اسفند ۱۳۷۶ با شمارهٔ ثبت ۱۹۶۷ بهعنوان یکی از آثار ملی ایران به ثبت رسیدهاست.
بازار شهرری در زمان صفویه ساخته شدهاست و در زمان قاجاریه به فرمان امیرکبیر بازسازی شدهاست.
بازار ری یکی از بازارهای تاریخی در شهر ری است. این بازار در شمال آرامگاه شاه عبدالعظیم، بازار ری واقع است. بازار ری متشکل از دو راسته بازار است که در محل تلاقی خود تشکیل یک چهار سوق را میدهند. این محل از قدیمالایام یکی از مراکز فروش ادویه، داروهای سنتی و کالاهای تجاری بود که توسط بازرگانان از طریق جاده ابریشم وارد ری میگردید. این بازار دارای ساختاری متشکل از گچ، آجر، خشت و گل و از نظر قدمت متعلق به صفویه (حدود ۵۰۰ سال پیش) است.

Shahre Ray Bazaar belongs to the late Qajar period and is located in Shahre Ray, next to the shrine of Abdul Azim, and this work was registered as one of Iran's national works on March 2, 1967 with registration number 1967.
Shahrari Bazaar was built during the Safavid era and was rebuilt during the Qajar era by the order of Amir Kabir.
Ray market is one of the historical markets in Ray city. This bazaar is located in the north of Shah Abd al-Azim's mausoleum, Ray bazaar. Ray bazaar consists of two rows of bazaars that form a four souq at their intersection. Since ancient times, this place was one of the centers for selling spices, traditional medicines, and commercial goods, which were used by merchants through the Silk Road. This bazaar has a structure consisting of plaster, brick, clay and mud and it belongs to the Safavid period (about 500 years ago).
بازار شهر ری مربوط به اواخر دوره قاجار است و در شهر ری، کنار حرم عبدالعظیم واقع شده و این اثر در تاریخ ۲ اسفند ۱۳۷۶ با شمارهٔ ثبت ۱۹۶۷ بهعنوان یکی از آثار ملی ایران به ثبت رسیدهاست.
بازار شهرری در زمان صفویه ساخته شدهاست و در زمان قاجاریه به فرمان امیرکبیر بازسازی شدهاست.
بازار ری یکی از بازارهای تاریخی در شهر ری است. این بازار در شمال آرامگاه شاه عبدالعظیم، بازار ری واقع است. بازار ری متشکل از دو راسته بازار است که در محل تلاقی خود تشکیل یک چهار سوق را میدهند. این محل از قدیمالایام یکی از مراکز فروش ادویه، داروهای سنتی و کالاهای تجاری بود که توسط بازرگانان از طریق جاده ابریشم وارد ری میگردید. این بازار دارای ساختاری متشکل از گچ، آجر، خشت و گل و از نظر قدمت متعلق به صفویه (حدود ۵۰۰ سال پیش) است.

Cheshmeh Ali is the name of an ancient ground in the southern hillsides of Alborz and in the ancient land of Rey. A water spring is boiling from the soil of this land that backs to the six to eight thousand years ago. This large rock was the place of Reybandi castle or Tabrak Castle related to about 1200 years ago. The ancient name of Cheshmeh Ali was mentioned in the historical reports of Souren that is the name of one of the great Parthian dynasties. Rey city, the spring capital of Parthian empire, was the place of Anahita worship in Iran with plenty of water. Hello dears, welcome to my channel EMP Walking Tours. I am Ali and today I am going to show you the traditional and attractive bazaar of Ray city.
The traditional market of Ray city or Shah Abdulazim is one of the oldest markets in Tehran and Ray city. This bazaar was built during the Safavid period next to the shrine of Shah Abdul Azim and was rebuilt during the time of Amir Kabir.
Nowadays, you can buy everything in this market, which has a relatively good price. This market has been famous for its spices and traditional tools since ancient times because of the Silk Road. This market is also popular for its kebabs, which I can confidently say you won't find anywhere else. Today, this market is divided into two parts, old and new.
If you stay with me until the end of this video, I will show you a part of this traditional market of Ray city.

سلام عزیزان خوش آمدید به کانال من . من علی هستم و امروز قصد دارم بازار سنتی و جذاب شهر ری را به شما نشان بدهم.
بازار سنتی شهر ری یا شاه عبدالعظیم یکی از قدیمی ترین بازار های تهران و شهر ری میباشد. این بازار در زمان صفویه در کنار حرم شاه عبدالعظیم ساخته شده و در زمان امیرکبیر این بازار بازسازی شده است.
شما امروزه همه چیز میتوانید در این بازار تهیه کنید که نسبتا هم قیمت خوبی دارد. این بازار از قدیم بخاطر جاده ابریشم به ادویه جات خودش معروف بوده و همچنین لوازم و وسایل سنتی. این بازار بخاطر کباب های خودش هم محبوب هست که به جرات میتوانم بگویم نمونه اون رو در جایی پیدا نمی کنید. این بازار امروزه به دو قسمتی قدیمی و جدید تقسیم شده است.

Ray city is the center of Ray city in Tehran province of Iran. Ray is one of the oldest cities in the world, so this area was called "Sheikh Al-Balad" in the past. The history of the creation of Rey dates back to the time of the Aryan tribes, and Rey was bigger than all the cities of Media. Ray literally means royal city. Residents and people of Ray are called Razi. Ray was the capital of Iran in part of the Ziyarian and Seljuk periods. This city has been called by different names throughout history, Raks, Rags, Raga, Ragha, Arshkiyeh, Ragu, Ragya, Ragyana, Ram Ardashiram al-Balad, Ray Shahr, Sheikh Balad and Muhammadiyah were some of the names that Ray was associated with one of the These names were read. According to what is mentioned in the Avesta, Ray is the thirteenth city that was built. The date of settlement in this city goes back to 6000 years BC. Although Ray has always been considered one of the important cities of ancient Iran, it was once the capital of ancient Iran. Based on the latest accurate geographical data, the length of Ray city is 14 km. In the 4th century of Hijri, this city was the largest of the four centers of Jabal province. Ibn Hawqal says that after Baghdad, there is no city in the east more affluent than Ray, except that Neyshabur is bigger and bigger than it.
Although Ray city is the center of Ray city, this city is also considered to be the 20th district of Tehran municipality. In popular culture, this city is also called Shah Abdul Azim due to the fact that Abdul Azim Hosni is buried there.
شهر ری مرکز شهرستان ری در استان تهران ایران است. ری از کهنترین شهرهای جهان است بهطوریکه این منطقه را در گذشته «شیخ البلاد» میگفتند. تاریخ پیدایش ری به زمان اقوام آریایی میرسد و ری از تمام شهرهای ماد بزرگتر بود. ری در لغت به معنای شهر سلطنتی است. ساکن و اهل ری را رازی مینامند. ری در بخشی از دوره زیاریان و نیز سلجوقیان پایتخت ایران بودهاست. این شهر در طول تاریخ به نامهای مختلفی خوانده میشده، راکس، راگز، راگا، رغه، ارشکیه، راگو، راگیا، راگیانا، رام اردشیرامالبلاد، ری شهر، شیخ البلاد و محمدیه از نامهایی بودند که ری در هر دوره به مناسبتی با یکی از این نامها خوانده میشده. بنابر آنچه که در اوستا آمده ری سیزدهمین شهری است که درجهان ساخته شدهاست. تاریخ سکونت در این شهر به ۶۰۰۰ سال پیش از میلاد برمیگردد. اگر چه ری همواره یکی از شهرهای مهم ایران باستان بهشمار میرفت دوره ای پایتخت در ایران باستان بود. بر مبنای آخرین داده های دقیق جغرافیایی درازای شهر ری ۱۴ کیلومتر می باشد. این شهر در قرن چهارم هجری بزرگترین مراکز چهارگانه ایالت جبال بودهاست. ابن حوقل گوید بعد از بغداد آبادتر از ری شهری در شرق نیست، جز آنکه نیشابور به وسعت از آن بیشتر و بزرگتر است.
با وجود اینکه شهر ری مرکز شهرستان ری است، این شهر منطقه ۲۰ شهرداری تهران نیز محسوب میشود. در فرهنگ عامیانه به این شهر به واسطه مدفون بودن عبدالعظیم حسنی، شاه عبدالعظیم نیز میگویند.

Tuğrul Tower (also transliterated Toghrul, Tughrol, or Tughrul) is a 12th-century monument, located in the city of Rey, Iran. Tuğrul Tower is near Rashkan Castle.
The 20-metre-tall (66 ft) brick tower is the tomb of Seljuk ruler Tuğrul Beg, who died in Rey in 1063. Originally, like other monuments of its time, it was capped by a conical dome (گنبد, gonbad), which collapsed during an earthquake.[when?]
The thickness of the walls varies from 1.75 to 2.75 meters. The inner and outer diameters are 11 and 16 meters, respectively. The exterior shape is that of a polygon with 24 angles in its design, which is thought to contribute to the structure's stability against tremors.
At the top of the tower Kufic inscriptions were originally observable.
The tower is protected by Iran's Cultural Heritage Organization.
In some texts this place is called Burj Khalifa Yazid. According to some experts idea, this tower is like a clock pointer and the time can be recognized by the sunshine on its congresses.

بازار شهر ری مربوط به اواخر دوره قاجار است و در شهر ری، کنار حرم عبدالعظیم واقع شده و این اثر در تاریخ ۲ اسفند ۱۳۷۶ با شمارهٔ ثبت ۱۹۶۷ بهعنوان یکی از آثار ملی ایران به ثبت رسیدهاست.
بازار شهرری در زمان صفویه ساخته شدهاست و در زمان قاجاریه به فرمان امیرکبیر بازسازی شدهاست.
بازار ری یکی از بازارهای تاریخی در شهر ری است. این بازار در شمال آرامگاه شاه عبدالعظیم، بازار ری واقع است. بازار ری متشکل از دو راسته بازار است که در محل تلاقی خود تشکیل یک چهار سوق را میدهند. این محل از قدیمالایام یکی از مراکز فروش ادویه، داروهای سنتی و کالاهای تجاری بود که توسط بازرگانان از طریق جاده ابریشم وارد ری میگردید. این بازار دارای ساختاری متشکل از گچ، آجر، خشت و گل و از نظر قدمت متعلق به صفویه (حدود ۵۰۰ سال پیش) است.

Rey, Iran
Rey or Ray [Pronunciation: rā] (Persian: شهر ری, Shahr-e-Ray, "City of Ray"), also known as Rhages (/ˈreɪdʒəz/; Greek: Ῥάγαι, Rhagai; Latin: Rhagae or Rhaganae) and formerly as Arsacia, is the capital of Rey County, Tehran Province, Iran, and is the oldest existing city in the province.
Ray today has been absorbed into the Greater Tehran metropolitan area. Ray is connected via the Tehran Metro to the rest of Tehran and has many industries and factories in operation. Limited excavations of what was not bulldozed began in 1997 in collaboration with the Iranian Cultural Heritage and Tourism Organization (ICHTO), the Department of Archaeological Sciences of the University of Bradford and the Department of Archaeology of the University of Tehran.
Note on spelling: According to the Iranian Chamber Society, the correct spelling of the city in both English and Persian is Ray, though variations in spelling also exist. The city university also uses the spelling Ray ("Azad University, Shahr-e-Ray"), as does the Encyclopædia Iranica published by Columbia University.
