Kibbutz Einat (Hebrew: עֵינַת) is a kibbutz in central Israel. Located near Petah Tikva and south of Rosh HaAyin, it falls under the jurisdiction of Drom HaSharon Regional Council. In 2006 it had a population of 612.
The kibbutz was founded in 1952 by residents of Givat HaShlosha and Ramat HaKovesh who had left the HaKibbutz HaMeuhad after its ideological split. The name was derived from its proximity to the source ("ein") of the Yarkon River.
The kibbutz was privatized, which encouraged children of members to return. The kibbutz operates a banquet hall and a secular cemetery that offers non-religious Israelis a burial option that skirts the religious establishment. Together with Kibbutz Givat HaShlosha, Einat owns Noga-Einat, a factory established in 1930 that produces combat boots and shoes for the army, police and special forces.
Einat was the first kibbutz to respond to the demand in Israel for secular burial. In 1991, it began to accept requests from people with no religious affiliation seeking an alternative to the Jewish burial ceremony.
A film festival is an organized, extended presentation of films in one or more cinemas or screening venues, usually in a single city or region. Increasingly, film festivals show some films outdoors. Films may be of recent date and, depending upon the festival's focus, can include international and domestic releases. Some festivals focus on a specific film-maker or genre (e.g., film noir) or subject matter (e.g., horror film festivals). A number of film festivals specialise in short films of a defined maximum length. Film festivals are typically annual events. Some film historians do not consider Film Festivals as official releases of film, like Jerry Beck. The best known film festivals are the Venice Film Festival, the Cannes Film Festival, the Toronto Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival, and the Berlin International Film Festival, the latter being the largest film festival worldwide, based on attendance. The Venice Film Festival is the oldest major festival. The Melbourne International Film Festival is the largest film festival in the Southern Hemisphere and one of the oldest in the world. A 2013 study found 3,000 active films festivals worldwide—active defined as having held an event in the previous 24 months.
This is a list of existing major film festivals, sorted by continent.
The Ophir Awards (Hebrew: פרס אופיר), also the Israeli Oscars, are film awards awarded by the Israeli Academy of Film and Television to recognize excellence of professionals in the film industry. They are named after actor Shaike Ophir and first given out in 1982.
The first Israeli Academy Awards ceremony was held in 1982 with the first award being presented to director Shimon Dotan for the film Repeat Dive, and since 1990 has been held annually at the Tel Aviv Performing Arts Center.
The highest number of Ophir Awards won by a single film is 11, achieved only by Nina's Tragedies. Assi Dayan won the award 8 times and is the only person to have won as a director, as a screenwriter and also as an actor.
The winner of the Best Film award usually becomes Israel's submission for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, although exceptions include Aviva My Love and The Band's Visit.
The Academy Awards, or "Oscars", is an annual American awards ceremony hosted by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to recognise excellence in cinematic achievements in the film industry as assessed by the Academy's voting membership. The various category winners are awarded a copy of a statuette, officially called the Academy Award of Merit, which has become commonly known by its nickname "Oscar". The awards, first presented in 1929 at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, are overseen by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS).
The awards ceremony was first broadcast to radio in 1930 and televised in 1953. It is now seen live in more than 200 countries and can be streamed live online. The Oscars is the oldest entertainment awards ceremony; its equivalents, the Emmy Awards for television, the Tony Awards for theatre, and the Grammy Awards for music and recording, are modeled after the Academy Awards.
The 88th Academy Awards ceremony will be held at the Dolby Theatre on February 28, 2016 and hosted by Chris Rock. A total of 2,947 Oscars have been awarded since the inception of the award through the 87th. The 88th awards ceremony has become the target of a potential boycott, based on critics' perception that its all-white acting nominee list reflects bias. In response, the Academy has initiated "historic" changes in membership by the year 2020.

An accident during a bar mitzvah celebration leads to a gender rift in a devout Orthodox community in Jerusalem. Charismatic young Rabbi David appears to be a savior after the accident, but slowly starts pushing his fundamentalist ways and tries to take control. This tests the women’s friendships and creates an almost Lysistrata-type rift between the community’s women and men. Already a hit on the festival circuit, The Women’s Balcony is a rousing, good-hearted tale about women speaking truth to patriarchal power. Sephiroth - Mystic Traveler Live in Auditorio Angel Bustelo Playing before Tarja Turunen En Vivo Auditorio Angel Bustelo Teloneando a Tarja Turunen Lyrics: When Rhiannon slowly woke up he felt a very deep peace. His tired heart could only be compared with his weakened feet. Again and again, he stared at the horizon. The journey made, was his treasure and his wisdom. With the beauty of a red dawn an old memory he saw. The suffering voices of a dead cause after a deadly storm. Again and again, he stared at the horizon. The journey made, was his treasure and his wisdom. CHORUS In the mystic mounts where wind lies, he will find the old designs of his travel, his staff and his wisdom: The Path of Light. His strong hands are getting older due to royalty tasks. But he can feel the proph...

My dedication in life is to pass on the ancient history of the Holy Land. Following upon many years of travel around the world, which was highlighted by a very exciting emotional and soul-searching meeting with the Dalai Lama, I realized that I had a mission. To pass on the the history of the Holy Land, its religions, and in particular, the birth and development of Christianity. In order to fulfill this "calling" in the best way possible, I studied in depth, visited, and personally experienced each and every important site of the ancient Christians. I studied for and ...

Our host Ben Ferguson and director Marc Isaacs travel to the Lincolnshire town of Boston to reveal a local story about communal fears about change and immigration. Set in a single location—the inside of a burger truck—this story unfolds as passersby answer Marc's questions while they slurp tea and eat bacon sandwiches. The result is an illuminating blend of anxiety and insecurity as attitudes towards outsiders begin to shine a light on why England is going through such politically turbulent times.
