Michael Bay Says Transformers 5 Will Be His Last & Confirms TMNT 2 Villain Subscribe Now! ► http://bit.ly/SubClevverMovies Director Michael Bay is once again set to return to the Transformers franchise and we’ve got the details right now on Clevver Newsfeed! It looks like we have one more Michael Bay directed Transformers movie to look forward to, whether we like it or not. Last year it was revealed that Paramount Pictures was looking to turn its billion dollar Transformers franchise into a shared universe and created a television style writers room to help come up with some ideas. The result was plans for as yet unnamed spinoff movies that will launch from next year’s fifth installment, but the big question remained whether or not Michael Bay would return to direct. While promoting his upcoming film, 13 Hours, Bay confirmed to Rolling Stone that he will in fact direct Transformers 5, but says the fifth installment will be his last. When reminded that he’s said the same thing about the last two installments, Bay responded quote, “I know. J.J. [Abrams] told me, 'You're the only guy that could do this.' But it's time to move on. One more.” While Transformers 5 doesn’t have an official release date outside of sometime next summer, we do know that Age of Extinction star Mark Wahlberg will return and the script is being written by Iron Man writers Art Marcum and Matt Holloway and Black Hawk Down writer Ken Nolan. During the Rolling Stone interview, Bay is shown a rendering of a scene that involves an alien spaceship that has crash-landed and is underwater and a new dump-truck Transformer that sports a cloak. We’ll leave you to guess which character that could be, but in addition to Transformers 5, Bay also confirmed a new villain that will make his debut in this summer’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sequel. We already know that fan favorites Beebop and Rocksteady, who Bay refers to as “the rhino dude”, will appear in the Bay produced film, but during the interview Bay also confirmed that the villainous “Krang” will also make an appearance. During the interview, Bay is shown a new version of the character with tentacles removed, to which Bay responds, “He could have some tentacles. I just don’t want them coming out of the side. He looks like a stupid octopus.” We’ll have to wait to see if the final version of Krang will be with or without tentacles, but who out there is excited to see him in the Ninja Turtles sequel and do you think Transformers 5 will really be Michael Bay’s last as director?
