How to break into the Shard swimming pool at the top of the Shangri-La Hotel for free. On the 52nd floor of the highest building in the European Union, this pool is the highest in Western Europe and armed with this knowledge you can make a splash in it.

The Shard, is a skyscraper under construction (at this time of writing) in London Bridge, London. When completed in 2012, it will be the tallest building in the European Union and the 45th tallest building in the world.
Vertical Expectations is a 26 minutes documentary that explores the nexus between architecture, development and society through an ethnographic analysis of the current building of the Shard.
As a resident in the area I was particularly interested in investigating this phenomenon and the impact it will have in its surroundings and the city.
This documentary highlights some of the questions that can inform a more nuanced understanding of architecture's social ramifications and the relevance space art and technology have on local people and the city as a whole. It raises questions about how architecture and space reflect social needs, the role of urban planning in the construction of public areas and the impact it will have on the community.

Offering unbeatable views of London from the 39th floor of the Shard, the Shangri-La Suite is yours to enjoy for £14,000 a night.
It costs couples from £14,000 per night to stay in the Shangri-La Suite at London's Shangri-La hotel, but that premium does at least secure them what is indisputably the best view offered by any hotel room in the city.
On the 39th floor of Western Europe's tallest building (the hotel runs to the 52nd floor, where its bar and swimming pool are located, but the skyscraper's tapering form means the most spacious accommodation is further down), the suite offers views from Canary Wharf to the London Eye but provides plenty of other luxuries too. A capricious bathroom is finished in wasabi-green marble, a dining area are on hand should you wish to entertain (with a butler on standby to prep everything in the adjacent kitchenette), velvet and leather chaise lounges are positioned so guests can gaze at leisure at all that surrounds them.

Shard London Bridge (previously known as London Bridge Tower, and also known as the Shard of Glass,32 London Bridge, and The Shard) is a pyramid-shaped skyscraper under construction in Southwark, London. Standing almost 310 metres (1,020 ft) tall, it is currently the tallest building in the European Union. It is also the second-tallest free-standing structure in the United Kingdom, after the 330-metre (1,083 ft) concrete tower at the Emley Moor transmitting station.
Shard London Bridge replaced Southwark Towers, a 24-storey office building constructed on the site in 1976. Renzo Piano, the Shard's architect, worked with the architectural firm Broadway Malyan during the planning stage. The tower has 72 habitable floors, with a viewing gallery and open-air observation deck – the UK's highest – on the 72nd floor. It was designed with an irregular triangular shape from the base to the top, and is clad entirely in glass. Shard London Bridge's structure was completed in April 2012, and it will open to the public on 5 July 2012.

The Shard, is a skyscraper under construction (at this time of writing) in London Bridge, London. When completed in 2012, it will be the tallest building in the European Union and the 45th tallest building in the world. Vertical Expectations is a 26 minutes documentary that explores the nexus between architecture, development and society through an ethnographic analysis of the current building of the Shard. As a resident in the area I was particularly interested in investigating this phenomenon and the impact it will have in its surroundings and the city. This documentary highlights some of the questions that can inform a more nuanced understanding of architecture's social ramifications and the relevance space art and technology have on local people and the city as a whole. Hello everyone, Once discovered by Richard Hoagland on a photo of the Lunar orbiter III, The Shard has been a mystery. There was just this one picture with a very hazy anomaly and there have been a lot of speculations what it may be. Once discovered by Richard Hoagland on a photo of the Lunar orbiter III, The Shard has been a mystery. There was just this one picture with a very hazy anomaly and there have been a lot of speculations what it may be. Some say it is an alien artefact, others say that it is a glass statue, building, antenna or alien outpost. All because there were no other images that could confirm the existence of The Shard. Well I found another photo.

Takata recalled 28.8 million inflators in the US to date; 50 million inflators recalled worldwide ... This is the first public accounting by the US government of the total number of unrecalled Takata air bag inflators. So far 28.8 million in the United States have been recalled due to the risk that they can explode with too much force and spray metal shards inside vehicles ...
