Vacation travel video about destination New York City in New York.
New York continues to be one of the world’s most famous cities, a true world metropolis and major symbol of the American Dream. Manhattan Island is the city’s most well known district and the Rockefeller Center in Midtown is often referred to as the heart of the New York. Nearby the Roman Catholic Saint Patrick´s Cathedral is the largest and most magnificent church in the United States. The Grand Central Terminal divides Park Avenue and is a huge station with which the railroad kings, the Venderbilts, left an indelible mark. The huge hall, with its magnificent vaulted ceiling in Beaux Arts style, has been the city’s central railway station for twelve lines since 1913. The confines of Chinatown are inhabited by a hundred and fifty thousand Chinese from China, Taiwan and Hong Kong, most of whom are unable to speak a word of English. Chinese characters wherever one looks and restaurants and Asian stores on every street corner. The famous Wall Street was named after a wall which in the early days protected the growing city against attack by Native American Indians. However, the roots of its subsequent claim to fame were laid in 1792. The young state desperately needed investment and therefore the powers that be decided to issue bonds. Close by, on a small island, is New York’s most famous landmark, the Statue Of Liberty. The head of Lady Liberty leads to the crown from which there are stunning views from several windows. New York City is most certainly unique. A city that’s very much alive and kicking, self-confident and always a surprise!

Get to know Liverpool, England, where the River Mersey meets the Irish Sea. This charming city is filled with maritime history, Beatlemania, and places of worship.

Bond Street is a major shopping street in the West End of London that runs north-south through Mayfair between Oxford Street and Piccadilly. It has been a fashionable shopping street since the 18th century and is currently the home of many high price fashion shops. The southern section is known as Old Bond Street, and the northern section, which is rather more than half the total length, is known as New Bond Street. This distinction, however, is not generally made in everyday usage. It is one of the most expensive strips of real estate in the world.
Bond Street takes its name from Sir Thomas Bond, the head of a syndicate of developers who purchased a Piccadilly mansion called Clarendon House from Christopher Monck, 2nd Duke of Albemarle in 1683 and proceeded to demolish the house and develop the area. They also built nearby Dover Street and Albemarle Street. At that time the house backed onto open fields and the development of the various estates in Mayfair was just getting underway. It moved predominantly from south to north, which accounts for the southern part of the street being "Old" Bond Street, and the Northern half being "New" Bond Street, the latter being added in a second phase as London continued to grow. John Rocque's map of London published in 1746 shows the whole length of Bond Street and all its side streets fully built up.

on the site of Nazareth House. In the vault of the main entrance, a
roof boss displays the college's coat of arms, the three lions of
Edward II with an engrailed silver border. On the main gate, a painted
carving of the badge of the Prince of Wales, a symbol often adopted by
members of college. During the 2006 Torpids, the double headship
winning Oriel Men's and Women's Eights maintained the College's
reputation for success in rowing.

It was here on the north coast that Christopher Columbus landed in1502 and where the Spanish were defeated by the British in a bloody battle for sovereign control of the island. Dunn`s River Falls is the name of a waterfall near to Ochos Rios, one of the island’s most well known natural attractions. In swimming attire, more than a million annual visitors attempt to climb through spraying torrents of water whilst linking hands in a human chain. In foaming cascades, the water plunges 200 metres down toward the sea over step-shaped limestone blocks and across an overgrown landscape of ferns and plants. Harmony Hall, a Victorian building that is a reminder of British colonial rule, is the name of an immaculate manor house located on a turn of the century plantation. Today it contains a handicraft centre and also a gallery which displays the works of indigenous artists. James Bond Beach is the name of the former winter retreat of the English author, Ian Fleming, who created British secret agent, James Bond. The famous author wrote most of his fourteen 007 novels on the small island of Golden Eye, of which five were set in Jamaica. Expansive fields of coconut palms dominate the Sun Valley Plantation which continues a tradition that dates back 250 years. In addition to bananas, citrus fruits, papayas, melons and apples, various spices are also cultivated on the plantation. World famous for their coffee beans, the Blue Mountains represent breathtaking primeval nature with a hint of adventure, a further experience in this sun-scorched island of dreams.

The Basilica Yerebatan Cistern once provided Constantinople with its water supply. Emperor Justinian I had this subterranean reservoir built. It holds 80,000 cubic metres of water. A forest of more than 300 decorated stone columns support the ceiling and it once served as a backdrop for a James Bond film.
A mighty gate is the entrance to the splendid world of the Turkish sultans, Topkapi Palace, the former centre of power of the Osman Empire. It's like a small town with many exquisite buildings and wonderful parks.
Leonardo Da Vinci's vision of a bridge across the Bosporus was for many years only a dream, but 470 years later, the dream became reality. At a height of 64 metres, two city districts have been united in addition to two continents and the contrasting lifestyles of two completely different worlds.

Travel Phuket Thailand, Pt(6/8). James Bond Island tour and canoeing. Khao Phing Kan is a pair of islands in Thailand, in the Phang Nga Bay. In 1974 it was featured in the James Bond movie "The Man with the Golden Gun", so is popularly called James Bond Island. We stayed at the Siam Palm Residence luxury apartments.
Travelled with my friend D. We hired some locals as tour guides and translators at the start of the trip. Thai people are very nice and many spoke English in tourist areas. As long as you respect the local culture and be polite they will take care of you.

The 5 main travel tips:
1. Don't drink the local water, try stick to bottled or boiled water only.
2. Be careful where you eat. Food poisoning is common with unsanitary kitchens or improperly cooked food. Especially old sea food. Check it is a clean place before you order food.
3. Do NOT buy illicit drugs! Besides being illegal and very bad for your health, usually it will be a set-up or scam by the local police, or a gang. You will get arrested and have to pay a huge fine, end up in jail for real, or be threatened and robbed by a local gang.
4. Don't do jet skis. There was a popular scam of jet ski gangs extorting tourist, claiming you damaged the jet ski after hiring it. They would then threaten and intimidate you until you paid up. Ask around about what the current scams, and local gangs to be aware of. A couple of friends did do jet ski's without any trouble though.
5. Don't be afraid to haggle and negotiate prices, but be polite and respectful. Shop around to get an idea of the market prices. You can always go back to that vendor or seller later.

The beauty of the nature of Tobago once inspired Daniel Defoe to let his famous castaway Robinson Crusoe land there. The island appeared to the hero as a planted Garden of Eden, and it is still impressive today. "Main Rich Forest Reserve" is the earliest preserved virgin rainforest in the western hemisphere (since 1776).
Arawak people were the first settlers on the island. Later the Caribs came from South America. The name Chistopher Columbus gave the island in 1498 was Bellaforma, later it became the name Tobago from Tobacco, which was growm on the island. Tobago was colonised by the British Empire. With the colonization different plants come to the island, such as cocoa and sugar cane. Plantations of these plants were driven with the labour force of slaves until the abolishment of slavery in 1833.
The island state Trinidad and Tobago belongs geographycally to South America, because of its nature. At the end of the last ice age melting glaciers caused the sea level to raise turning Trinidad and Tobago into islands.
Ian Flemming was inspired by the book "Birds of the West Indies", written by the ornithologist james Bond, who made his research on Tobago and gave its name to the very famous protagonist of his romans: the British secret agent, Commander James Bond.
The documentation shows also the different fishing methods of the tobagonians. Some still fish in a very traditional manner by throwing the fishing nets into the sea and pull them back on the beach. The locals sell the fish at the market in Scarborough.
"Liming" ist the tobagonian art of doing nothing. People get together, drink and play cards. And of course music plays an important role on the village. Every Sunday is Sunday school, a huge street party featuring bands playing the steelpan.

Two British teenagers accused of battering an alcoholic woman to death in 2014 have been sentenced to life in prison. The two girls, now 15, were convicted of murdering 39-year-old Angela Wrightson on April 5 after an eight-week crown court trail in Leeds, England, the Guardian reported.
