Sabre

Sabre I

The first Sabre was a former knife thrower named Paul Richarde until he was selected by Modred to oppose Black Knight. Paul Richarde was given an armor, an animated gargoyle. and Mordred's Ebony Dagger (the weapon with which Mordred had killed the first Black Knight). He was defeated by Black Knight after his horse Aragorn kicked the dagger from Le Sabre's hand.

Sabre II

The second Sabre is a mutant super villain. His first appearance was in X-Men #106. Young and reckless, Sabre was chosen by Mystique to join her new Brotherhood of Mutants, though never actually participated in any missions. He had the mutant ability of super speed, and took the name of the deceased Super Sabre. It is unknown if he continues to serve Mystique behind the scenes, or if he even retains his powers after Decimation. Hyper-accelerated metabolism augments his natural speed, reflexes, coordination, endurance, and the healing properties of his body.

Snowblind (book)

Snowblind: A brief career in the cocaine trade written by American author Robert Sabbag in 1976 is a non-fiction account about an extraordinary character named Zachary Swan who turned his hand to smuggling cocaine from Colombia into the US. Set in the 1970s before organised crime took over the cocaine trade, it is based primarily in New York and Bogotá and features a variety of colourful characters. Unlike other smugglers at the time Swan concocted a vast array of scams designed both to evade customs officials and protect his 'employees' from prosecution, all of which are highly imaginative and entertaining.

Snowblind (film)

Snowblind is a 2010 independent film about a post-apocalyptic world after an ice-age devastated civilization.

The film was released in 2010, and was produced by Mangofilm. It was also released on Blu-ray and in 3D. It is made free for personal distribution on torrent sites under the Creative Commons License, as long as money is not charged.

The movie is also known as Snowblind 3D.

Plot

In this post-apocalyptic spaghetti western, a governor pardons a gunslinger sentenced to death, in order to have him kill another gunslinger. He doesn't tell about the girl; complications ensue.

Sleep (system call)

A computer program (process, task, or thread) may sleep, which places it into an inactive state for a period of time. Eventually the expiration of an interval timer, or the receipt of a signal or interrupt causes the program to resume execution.

Usage

A typical sleep system call takes a time value as a parameter, specifying the minimum amount of time that the process is to sleep before resuming execution. The parameter typically specifies seconds, although some operating systems provide finer resolution, such as milliseconds or microseconds.

Windows

On Windows, the Sleep() function takes a single parameter of the number of milliseconds to sleep. The Sleep() function is included in kernel32.dll, but no sleep command (executable) is natively available for scripts (batch files). It can be found in collections of Windows utilities like Windows 2003 Resource Kit.

Unix

On Unix-like operating systems, the sleep() function is called providing a single parameter of type unsigned integer of the number of seconds to sleep. (For more precise sleep times one can use the usleep() function.)

Conjure One (album)

Conjure One is the self-titled debut album by Canadian electronic music project Conjure One, headed by Rhys Fulber. The album was released in September 2002 (see 2002 in music).
