Stonehaven after the last paddle, as the weather turned grim again. Now the ONLY reason, I would ever have visited
Pennan, was because the film '
Local Hero' was filmed there in
1982. In much the same way, I only went to
Boscastle, to see what it was like after the famous flood. Both experiences have been wonderful, and it's an example of how being inquisitive, and adventurous can be rewarding. I viewed a lot of this coastline through binoculars from Troup
Head, the previous day, and I would have missed out the first part of the trip, if I hadn't, probably launching at Pennan. The first part of the trip was just absolute
