The prime minister of Somalia Omar Abdirashid Sharmarke and a high-level delegation he was leading arrived in the central town of Beledweyne, the regional capital of Hiiraan on Tuesday.
The PM was warmly received at the airport by officials from the regional administration, elders and the commanders of Djibouti-an peacekeepers of the AMISOM contingent in Beledweyne.
The aim of the premier's visit to Beledweyne is based on mission to encourage Hiiraan elders to attend the second phase of the state formation conference in Jowhar which is set to reopen soon.
According to the Somali government plan, Jowhar symposium is expected to shape a federal state comprising of Middle Shabelle and Hiiraan regions in central Somalia.
