Plot: Vikram's father has taught him that to win, in chess, one has to kill the king. And when his parents Harmesh and Sulbha are brutally killed he decides to apply the principles of chess to real life ! Vijay (Ajay Devgan) an illegitimate orphan grows up to be a rich industrialist with his hard work. He falls in love with Madhu (Raveena Tandon) who is retired judge Amarnath's (Satyen Kapoor) only daughter. Their love blossoms. Raja (Ajinkya Deo) who is industrialist Oberoi's (Amrish Puri) son too falls for Madhu, but when Oberoi goes to ask for Madhu's hand he finds out that before him Vijay had approached for Madhu's hand. Oberoi sides Vijay's proposal, in fact Mr. Oberoi always best owed his special liking towards Vijay. He even treated him as his own son. This became the reason of conflict between his wife Sharda (Reena Roy), his brother-in-law (Paresh Rawal), and his son Raja. Vijay was even accused to be the illegitimate son of Mr. Oberoi. Jagat Poisoned Amarnath's mind about getting his daughter married to a bastard. The love of Vijay and Madhu was shattered but Vijay fights for his love.

Plot: The year is 1975, the place is Mahim, Bombay, and this is the story of Tikku, a eunuch, the only child of yesteryear Bollywood actress Nazneen Begum, who has fallen upon hard times, is virtually destitute and is dependent on Tikku, who does make-up/hair-dressing of Bollywood actresses. When she passes away, Tikku is beside himself with grief. After the funeral, he witnesses a woman leaving a child in a garbage bin. Tikku picks up the girl-child, longing for human company, especially after the death of his mom, decides to keep her, names her Tamanna, and brings her up on his own. When she is old enough, he arranges for her education in St. Mary's High School's hostel. When she completes school, she returns home to find out that Tikku in the guise of a Hijra and shuns him, but subsequently relents. Then Tikku finds out that Tamanna is the daughter of Ranvir Chopra, an up and coming politician, he tells her, and she goes to their palatial house. Watch what impact this has on the entire Chopra family, and the excuse they come up for abandoning Tamanna.

Plot: Mohan attempts to secure a loan from his employer on the occasion of Diwali as well as his Munna, his son's birthday; is not only refused but also fired from his job. Plot: After years of worship, Shiva devotee Ravan acquires powers as well as immortality and misuses them to oppress the demigods and women. One of the women he molests is none other than an avatar of Goddess Lakshmi who swears to bring his kingdom, Lanka, to ashes. Worried demigods approach Lord Vishnu, who decides to end Ravan's misrule, by taking birth as Ram, the eldest son of Maharaj (King) Dashrath of Ayodhya; while Sheshnag, his conch and discus are reincarnated as Lakshman, Bharat and Shatrughan respectively, and his spouse, Lakshmi, takes birth as Sita. Vishnu announces that Ravan will meet his end at the very hands of the ones he always looked down upon - humans and monkeys. When her father announces Sita's Swayamvar (groom selecting ceremony), Maharishi Vishmamitra asks Ram to accompany him to participate. It is here that Ram meets Ravan, one of the competitors to try and win Sita's hand in marriage. But it is after the ceremony that Ram will have to face the wrath of none other than warrior-sage Parshuram for desecrating and breaking the bow of Lord Shiva.

Plot: Widowed and ailing Savitri Choudhury lives a wealthy lifestyle along with her son, Anil, in a palatial mansion in India. She knows that Anil is only waiting for her to die so that he can inherit the wealth and refuses to give him any money. The Diwan convinces Anil to mend his ways, get married, and patch-up with his mom. Shortly thereafter Anil does appear to have mended his ways, gets involved in charity, and even introduces a young woman named Deepali to his mom. Deepali moves in the mansion, looks after Savitri so much so that Savitri decides to make her the sole beneficiary of her estate. What Savitri does not know is that Anil has hired Deepali to act as his fiancée, and that Deepali herself is not who she claims to be, and is actually in love with a local horse-riding peasant, Ajit, whose father was convicted of killing Savitri's husband, and soon Ajit himself will be arrested by the Police for having an affair and then killing a woman named Sita.
