Jack Gariss (/ˈɡærᵻs/; October 19, 1920 – January 19, 1985) was an American spiritual teacher and meditation instructor, and a radio personality on KPFK in Los Angeles from the 1960s until his death in Los Angeles in 1985. He was born in Nebraska.
As a young man, in the 1950s, Jack Gariss attended University of Southern California and worked for Cecil B. DeMille. Most notably, he has a co-writing credit on DeMille's The Ten Commandments.
In the late 1960s, Gariss began teaching meditation and started recording radio shows for KPFK about meditation and spiritual topics. Over the years, the shows were variously titled The Mystic Circle, then The Wayless Way, then Bio Meditation, then Bio-Cosmology, but are now routinely rebroadcast as Bio Meditation on Roy of Hollywood's KPFK show, on most Thursday nights / Friday mornings. Jack, assisted by his wife Janette, lovingly taught people how to identify and control and produce alpha brain waves (the "energy signature of the serene mind" --Maslow) at his home in the San Fernando Valley. He had a substantial library and was the perennial student of religion and spirituality. He seemed to gravitate to Eastern religions, particularly Taoism.
The Greatest Show on Earth is a 1952 American drama film produced and directed by Cecil B. DeMille, shot in Technicolor, and released by Paramount Pictures. Set in the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, the film stars Betty Hutton and Cornel Wilde as trapeze artists competing for the center ring, and Charlton Heston as the circus manager running the show. James Stewart also stars in a supporting role as a mysterious clown who never removes his make-up, even between shows, while Dorothy Lamour and Gloria Grahame play supporting roles.
In addition to the film actors, the real Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey's Circus' 1951 troupe appears in the film, with its complement of 1400 people, hundreds of animals, and 60 carloads of equipment and tents. The actors learned their respective circus roles and participated in the acts. The film's storyline is supported by lavish production values, actual circus acts, and documentary, behind-the-rings looks at the massive logistics effort which made big top circuses possible.
The Greatest may refer to:
Cecil Blount DeMille (/dəˈmɪl/; August 12, 1881 – January 21, 1959) was an American filmmaker. Between 1913 and 1956, he made seventy features, both silent and sound films. He is acknowledged as a founding father of the Hollywood film industry, and the most commercially successful producer-director in cinema history.
DeMille began his career as a stage actor in 1900. One of his first acting jobs was in 1905 at the Historic Elitch Theatre in Denver, CO. He later moved to writing and directing stage productions, some with Jesse Lasky, who was then a vaudeville producer. DeMille's first film, The Squaw Man (1914), was also the first feature film shot in Hollywood. Its interracial love story made it a phenomenal hit and it "put Hollywood on the map." The continued success of his productions led to the founding of Paramount Pictures with Lasky and Adolph Zukor. His first biblical epic, The Ten Commandments (1923), was both a critical and financial success; it held the Paramount revenue record for twenty-five years.
The Ten Commandments, also known as the Decalogue, are a set of commandments which the Bible describes as having been given to the Israelites by God at biblical Mount Sinai. The Ten Commandments are listed twice in the Hebrew Bible, first at Exodus 20:1–17, and then at Deuteronomy 5:4–21. Both versions state that God inscribed them on two stone tablets, which he gave to Moses. According to New Testament writers, the Ten Commandments are clearly attributed to Moses (Mark 7:10, see also John 7:19).
Modern scholarship has found likely influences in Hittite and Mesopotamian laws and treaties, but is divided over exactly when the Ten Commandments were written and who wrote them.
The commandments include instructions to worship only God, to honour parents, and to keep the sabbath; as well as prohibitions against idolatry, blasphemy, murder, adultery, theft, dishonesty, and coveting. Different religious groups follow different traditions for interpreting and numbering them

I haven't seen this uploaded in full on Youtube, so I thought I would. He goes into how the Time Wave arose, describing the encounter he and his brother had with "The Logos" within the mushroom trance during their 1971 journey to the Amazon. This lecture helps fill in a lot of the gaps in the origins of the Time Wave, and what he thought about it. I suggest this video be watched in tandem with another lecture of his called "The Grammar of Ecstasy" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_KLQr_jZrPQ, in which he goes even deeper into the mechanics of the Time Wave, taking us through the exact process of how he extracted the Time Wave out of the I Ching. Many think that the Time Wave is simply obsolete, because nothing happened on the winter solstice of 2012. My take on the Time Wave is that it pro...

3 cauldron alchemy
Running through our hands
In the waving grass
One harvest time can't stop them now
Cities made of sand
That were built to last
No one man sky to tell them how
Seasons kiss, collide and miss
Stars still turn and sometimes burn
And the stones alone laugh . . .
Passing through our arms
Go each others loves
One woman sea can't break their fall
Blossoms in your gaze,
Stormclouds race above
One season more they've grown so tall
Seasons kiss, collide and miss
Stars still turn and sometimes burn
