Cursed Baltra Island
There are still many places or islands in the world which are mysteries. And one of these mysterious places is Baltra Island. Located on the Galápagos Islands of Ecuador, the island is largely unmanned. Malappogus Islands, consisting of 13 islands near Ecuador, South America. And one of the 13 islands is Baltra.
It is known that there was a time of human settlement on the Baltra island. But a strange disease spread on this island a few years ago. As a result people start to die. And everyone fears the islanders fled from this island. They returned and told everyone that this island is cursed, no one should go around the island, once again, and will not be able to return. Galápagos Islands - Highlands of Santa cruz & Baltra
Hey guys, welcome back to my channel!
Welcome back to the Galápagos vlogs! In this video we are visiting a new part of Santa Cruz Island. We are visiting the Highlands and Charles Darwins Foundation where they are running a Giant Tortoise breeding program to prevent them from going extinct. They are doing incredible work to make sure that these incredible creatures continue to thrive and survive for many more generations. We also got to plant some trees to help rebuild some forests that were cut down years ago where several species of birds exclusively live and have slowly been nearing extinction as their habitats are being destroyed. অভিশপ্ত বাল্ট্রা দ্বীপের গোপন রহস্য Baltra island mysteries | Baltra island animals

GALAPAGOS: ISLA SANTA CRUZ - Travel Guide to ALL SIGHTS and ISLANDS in 4K
The Galapagos in Ecuador is one big animal paradise. Nowhere in the world can you see wild animals so easily in their natural environment. We start on the island of Baltra and travel to Puerto Ayora on Santa Cruz. There we visit the Charles Darwin Research Center, named after the explorer and naturalist who based the Theory of Evolution on the animals of the Galapagos Islands. We also visit Tortuga Bay and Las Grietas, highlights with many more animals. Throughout the island we see land iguanas, marine iguanas, sea lions, giant tortoises, pelicans, crabs, tropical fish and birds.
This year we travel all over the world and after Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Oman, Cape Verde, Martinique, Saint Lucia, Tobago, Grenada, The Bahamas, USA and Mexico, Galapagos is already our twelfth destination. Fo...

Flight Landing at Seymour Airport at Baltra - Galapagos Islands Vacation
Baltra Island, or Isla Baltra, is a small island of the Galápagos Islands. Also known as South Seymour (named after Lord Hugh Seymour), Baltra is a small flat island located near the center of the Galápagos. It was created by geological uplift. The island is very arid and vegetation consists of salt bushes, prickly pear cactus, and palo santo trees.
We landed at Seymour Airport, which is promoted as "the first ecological airport worldwide" due to its reduced energy consumption for lighting and ventilation, rainwater recovery, waste recycling, etc. We rested in the VIP lounge – actually quite large – until we were transported by bus to a dock located in a small bay where the boats cruising the Galápagos await passengers, and where we could embark the Celebrity Flora.

Hi, we are Brandon and Kristine!
We picked up our empty cargo van in November 2020 and built her into our tiny home on wheels over the next year. We finally hit the road in January 2022 alongside our sweet pup, Hopps, with a motto to live with less to experience more. After 7 months of life on the road, new adventures were calling and we decided to put our van in storage and head out on a backpacking journey across the world! Our goal is to explore and really experience different countries and cultures and inspire people to step out of their comfort zone and do what makes them happy. We are so excited you are along for the ride. Subscribe to follow along with our adventures. New videos posted every Tuesday. Hope to see you on the road!

Since then the island has been known as the cursed island.
Surprisingly, the other 12 islands here are just different, strange and mysterious. There are plenty of rain here. But the strange thing is that one drop of rain does not fall in Baltra. For a mysterious reason, the clouds fly over many of the Balta and the other islands have heavy rainfall. It is an unimaginable rule. No matter how much rain is in the rain, it does not touch her in Baltra.
As you know, the compass cutting is always indicative of the north-south direction. But in the Baltra, the sailors' compass started abnormal behavior. If you come here, the compass is never stabilized, and sometimes it turns out to be wrong, and sometimes the opposite is a wrong direction. But the most mysterious thing is that during the time of the plane on the Baltra island, Compass has done such a strange behavior. Everything will be okay if we cross the island again.
There is no tree in the strange island of Baltra. There is no animal. No animal wants to come to the island. Wagner, the inventor of the island's mysteries, once ran a test. He forced some animals to leave and left the canal between Baltra Island and its adjacent island, Santa Cruz. But it was seen that the pranias went towards the island of Santacruz, avoiding Baltra. The most mysterious thing is that the flying birds also fly back to Balatarra to fly. It seems like they are pushing the wall of an invisible wall.

They started with less than 2,000 total and now are up to almost 33,000 since the 80's! They are doing incredible work to make sure that these incredible creatures continue to thrive and survive for many more generations. We also got to plant some trees to help rebuild some forests that were cut down years ago where several species of birds exclusively live and have slowly been nearing extinction as their habitats are being destroyed. With this tree planting project that Celebrity Cruises is doing with each group of passengers, the birds are finally starting to slowly increase in number each year. Finally, we got to go have a traditional Ecuadorian lunch and observe several traditional dances and then see dozens of Giant Tortoises while on a pit stop for their annual migration to their breeding area.
This is the final of the Galápagos vlogs, I truly hope that you have enjoyed them! It was a blast visiting the islands and of course to be documenting them for you guys! If you like my travel vlogs, don't worry I have MANY more coming your way! :)

Follow us on this world tour, first in Ecuador, then Brazil and then to many more beautiful destinations! We also cross to Asia, Oceania and Africa! We travel non-stop all year round and film everything. Also take a look at instagram @woutoftheworld or www.woutoftheworld.nl

During World War II, Baltra was established as a United States Army Air Force base. Crews stationed at Baltra patrolled the eastern Pacific for enemy submarines and protected the Panama Canal. After the war, the facilities were given to the government of Ecuador. Today the island continues as an official Ecuadorian military base. The foundations of buildings and other remains of the US base including the old airfield can still be seen on the island.
