Obi-Wan Kenobi is a fictional character in the Star Wars universe. He is one of several primary characters in the Star Wars series. Along with Anakin Skywalker (Darth Vader), R2-D2 and C-3PO, he is one of only four characters to appear in all six Star Wars films. He is portrayed in the original trilogy by Alec Guinness and in the prequel trilogy by Ewan McGregor, and is voiced by James Arnold Taylor in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars film and television series.
Obi-Wan Kenobi is first introduced in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope (1977), where he is played by Alec Guinness and is first seen rescuing Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) from a group of Tusken Raiders. Obi-Wan takes Luke to his hut, where he reveals that he knew Luke's father, Anakin Skywalker, and served with him in the Clone Wars. He gives Anakin's lightsaber to Luke, having told him that Darth Vader (David Prowse/James Earl Jones) "betrayed and murdered" Anakin. Suddenly, R2-D2 plays a message from Princess Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher) that pleads for Obi-Wan to get the droid to her father on Alderaan. Obi-Wan offers to instruct Luke in the ways of the Force and asks him to join him on the quest; but Luke is only persuaded when his aunt and uncle are slain by the Empire, whereupon Obi-Wan takes him to deliver the message to Alderaan.

Ewan Gordon McGregor (born 31 March 1971) is a Scottish actor who has had success in mainstream, indie, and art house films. He is perhaps best known for his roles as heroin addict Mark Renton in the drama Trainspotting (1996), Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi in the Star Wars prequel trilogy (1999–2005), poet Christian in the musical film Moulin Rouge! (2001), and storyteller Edward Bloom in Tim Burton's Big Fish (2003). He has also received critical acclaim for his starring roles in theatre productions of Guys and Dolls (2005–07) and Othello (2007–08). McGregor was ranked No. 36 on Empire magazine's "The Top 100 Movie Stars of All Time" list in 1997.
Born in the Royal Infirmary in Perth, Scotland, McGregor was brought up in the nearby small town of Crieff, where he attended the independent Morrison's Academy. His mother, Carole Diane (née Lawson), is a teacher and school administrator, and his father, James Charles Stewart "Jim" McGregor, is a physical education teacher. He has an older brother, Colin, who is a former Tornado GR4 pilot in the Royal Air Force. He is the nephew of actor Denis Lawson and the late actress Sheila Gish, and the step-cousin of the late actress Lou Gish. McGregor studied drama at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

Who is Rey from Star Wars: The Force Awakens? Some say she's Rey Solo and others say she's Rey Skywalker. Some even go as far to say she's a relation of Emperor Palpatine. I think though the answer may be she's Rey Kenobi (spoilers by the way).
When looking at who is Rey from Star Wars: The Force Awakens there's a lot of parallels linking her to a number of popular Star Wars characters. Some are more likely than others but I think it can be assumed that she's a relation of a known character.
With the current information we have on the character I believe the most likely outcome is she's a descendant of the Jedi Master Obi Wan Kenobi. Her skills in the force seem to lie in areas that Ben Kenobi also specialised in, in particular evading enemies and employing the Jedi Mind Trick.
Not to mention the fact that Ben “Obi Wan” Kenobi actually appears in the film, offering up words of wisdom to Rey during her vision sequence. It would also be pretty sweet for the Grandson of Darth Vader, Kylo Ren is pitted against the Granddaughter of Obi Wan Kenobi, Rey, mirroring the relationship the two shared before the rise of the Galactic Empire.
The similarities don't end there, in fact I'm only just getting started! But I'm not going to type it all out here, you can just watch the video. That way I don't have to type and you don't have to read. It’s a bloody win win situation.
