Mays Gilliam (Chris Rock) is a straight-talking alderman representing a inner-city neighborhood in Washington, D.C. In the midst of a hard-fought race for the White House, the Democratic presidential and vice-presidential candidates are killed in an airline crash, and with little time to prepare a new campaign, the Republican candidate, Vice President Brian Lewis (Nick Searcy), seems all but guaranteed to win. With practically nothing to loose, party head Martin Geller (Dylan Baker) approaches Gilliam and asks him to stand as the Democrat's presidential candidate. While Gilliam is dubious at first, before long his streetwise style and willingness to face the issues head-on earns him surprising figures in the polls, especially after he persuades his short-fused older brother, Mitch Gilliam (Bernie Mac), to join the ticket as vice presidential candidate -- a big jump for a bail bondsman. Gilliam's love life also becomes more complicated as his ex-girlfriend Kim (Robin Givens) decides she wants him back now that he has a shot at the White House, even though Gilliam only has eyes for Lisa (Tamala Jones). Mays Gilliam (Chris Rock) is a straight-talking alderman representing a inner-city neighborhood in Washington, D.C. In the midst of a hard-fought race for the White House, the Democratic presidential and vice-presidential candidates are killed in an airline crash, and with little time to prepare a new campaign, the Republican candidate, Vice President Brian Lewis (Nick Searcy), seems all but guaranteed to win. With practically nothing to loose, party head Martin Geller (Dylan Baker) approaches Gilliam and asks him to stand as the Democrat's presidential candidate. Can a high-attitude African-American politician who says what he thinks stand a chance in a presidential campaign? Mays Gilliam (Chris Rock) is a straight-talking alderman representing a inner-city neighborhood in Washington, D.C. China has unveiled a proposal for a $50-trillion global electricity network. The proposal would help fight pollution and the effects of climate change. According to the head of State Grid Corporation of China, the plan envisions linking existing and future solar farms, wind turbines and electricity plants in Asia, Europe, Africa and the Americas. State-run news agency Xinhua News Agency quoted the firm's chairman Liu Zhenya as saying at an international energy conference on Wednesday, the planet faces "three major challenges" of energy scarcity, environmental pollution and climate change. A popular slogan was, "Everything to the war front."
The Derg movement would be removed in 1991 by by the Eritrean resistance, which fought against the Derg's brutal campaigns of genocide in Eritrea, and their Ethiopian allies in the north.

Head of State Immunity, once unchallengeable, may now seem an antiquated concept rather than an essential component required for the orderly management of international affairs. Heads of State have become exposed to judicial intervention by international tribunals. Prosecution of Kenya's President, Kenyatta, at the International Criminal Court (ICC) will be considered, as will the theoretical and practical basis for preserving Head of State immunity. Related and recent developments in the world of international criminal tribunals will also be explored, including the revelation by a judge at one tribunal of straight political pressure said to have been exerted on judges to reach verdicts that would be favourable to states that intervene in the conflicts of others.
