Koko got her birthday wish this July 4th — not only did one kitten come to visit, but a whole litter. Koko fell in love with one, and the other fell in love with her. Koko has adopted these two kittens into her family, and it has energized her world.
Not only have Koko's maternal and play instincts kicked in, but she is signing more to her caregivers and generating new content everyday that can be used by The Gorilla Foundation to create empathy fro great apes. This can have significant benefits to both endangered free-living great apes and those in captive environments, by encouraging the development of 2-way communication with their caregivers (which Koko has had since she was a baby).
The Gorilla Foundation is now considering a multimedia sequel to the classic book, Koko's Kitten, which has already reached millions of children worldwide, and has the power to motivate millions more to learn how to make the world a better place for all of its conscious inhabitants.

Koko had a magnificent birthday celebration, thanks to lots of love from her caregivers and supporters. In addition to great presents, great company, a game-decorated environment and a birthday feast complete with vegan birthday cake and candles, Koko received thousands of birthday cards, both physical and via the internet. Thank you for sending your love to a gorilla ambassador whose favorite sign is "Koko-Love."

Robin McLaurin Williams (born July 21, 1951) is an American actor and comedian. Rising to fame with his role as the alien Mork in the TV series Mork & Mindy, and later stand-up comedy work, Williams has performed in many feature films since 1980. He won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in the 1997 film Good Will Hunting. He has also won two Emmy Awards, four Golden Globes, two Screen Actors Guild Awards and five Grammy Awards.
Williams was born in Chicago, Illinois. His mother, Laura McLaurin (née Smith, 1922–2001), was a former model from New Orleans, Louisiana. His father, Robert Fitzgerald Williams (September 10, 1906 – October 18, 1987), was a senior executive at Ford Motor Company in charge of the Midwest region. His maternal great-great-grandfather was senator and Mississippi governor Anselm J. McLaurin. Williams is of English, Welsh, Irish, and French ancestry. He was raised in the Episcopal Church (his mother practiced Christian Science). He grew up in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, where he was a student at the Detroit Country Day School, and later moved to Woodacre, Marin County, California, where he attended the public Redwood High School. Williams studied at Claremont McKenna College (then called Claremont Men's College) for four years. He has two half-brothers: Todd (who died August 14, 2007) and McLaurin.

Sander van Doorn (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈsɑn.dər vɑn ˈdoːrn]) (born Sander Ketelaars [Dutch pronunciation: [ˈsɑn.dər ˈkeː.tə.ˌlaːrs]] on 28 February 1979 in Eindhoven, Noord-Brabant, Netherlands) is a Dutch Trance music DJ and producer. He is listed at DJMag's top 100 djs list, debuting at #32 in 2006, then moving up to #13 in 2008, being #10 in 2009, down to #12 in 2010, and currently listed as #16 DJ in the world. Another dance music poll, TranceAddict TOP 250 shows Sander at #4 in their 2011 rankings.
Sander hosts Identity podcast, which is broadcast as a weekly radio show on Area channel of Sirius XM satellite radio. The show is broadcast every Friday at 8 pm ET and replays every Saturday at 5 pm ET and Wednesdays at 6 pm ET.
The first big achievement in his career was securing residencies at Judgement Sunday in Ibiza and at the Gallery in London. Sander has DJ'ed at many major clubs, parties and venues around the world. In June 2007 he presented one of Eddie Halliwell's shows on BBC Radio One. He also did an essential mix for BBC Radio One in June 2006, the same month he won 'Best New Producer' at the Trance Awards. His productions, both original work and remixes, in 2007-2008 have generally been well received in the electronic music industry. Notable artists he has done remixes for include Robbie Rivera, Matt Darey, Randy Katana, Mode Hookers (Steve Angello & Sebastian Ingrosso), Blank & Jones, TDR, Armin van Buuren.

Plot: Rembrandt Macy (Tom Berenger) is a maverick cop assigned to a case where the primary evidence is a woman's hand found in a pond. Plot: Luke Jackson is a cool, gutsy prisoner in a Southern chain gang, who, while refusing to buckle under to authority, keeps escaping and being recaptured. The prisoners admire Luke because, as Dragline explains it, "You're an original, that's what you are!" Nevertheless, the camp staff actively works to crush Luke until he finally breaks.

Meet Koko's New Kittens
Koko got her birthday wish this July 4th — not only did one kitten come to visit, but a whole litter. Koko fell in love with one, and the other fell in love with her. Koko has adopted these two kittens into her family, and it has energized her world. Not only have Koko's maternal and play instincts kicked in, but she is signing more to her caregivers and generating new content everyday that can be used by The Gorilla Foundation to create empathy fro great apes. This can have significant benefits to both endangered free-living great apes and those in captive environments, by encouraging the development of 2-way communication with their caregivers (which Koko has had since she was a baby). The Gorilla Foundation is now considering a multimedia sequel to the classic book, Koko's Kit... -

Koko had a magnificent birthday celebration, thanks to lots of love from her caregivers and supporters. In addition to great presents, great company, a game-decorated environment and a birthday feast complete with vegan birthday cake and candles, Koko received thousands of birthday cards, both physical and via the internet. Thank you for sending your love to a gorilla ambassador whose favorite sign is "Koko-Love." -

Koko watches intently a DVD movie on her TV that she has seen several times before. It is called Tea with Mussolini. When it comes to a sad part, where the boy has to say goodbye to all of his relatives and waves goodbye on the train, Koko turns away from the TV. She then proceeds to sign: "Frown, sad, cry, bad, trouble, mother and Koko-love." Her eyes also look very watery. (Gorillas cry too.) Lesson: There is mounting scientific evidence that great apes can feel empathy for others. This example points to the possibility that gorillas, in particular, may also be able to empathize with fictional human characters portrayed by actors—or at least be moved by them -
Ndume Celebrates Koko's Birthday (July 4, 2015)
During Koko's birthday celebrations, Ndume always gets a special day as well. For example, on July 4, 2015 (Koko's Birthday) , Ndume's room and yard were decorated with a special theme: the underwater world, with an emphasis on sharks. In this video Ndume is opening a shark pinata filled with one of his favorite treats ... POPCORN. We hung the pinata high from a shelf in the large yard that he shares with Koko, and Ndume climbed up to retrieve it. It took very little effort for this strong silverback gorilla to pull apart the pinata and get his goodies. Stay tuned for videos and photos of Ndume's birthday party, on October 10. "People really need to understand a few things. 1. It's not like it's readily safe to study specific animals in the wild and 2. most of the animals that are in legal captivity aren't mistreated. A lot of organizations have taken special care to select their animals very carefully and ensure that they are safe.

She then proceeds to sign: "Frown, sad, cry, bad, trouble, mother and Koko-love." Her eyes also look very watery. (Gorillas cry too.)
Lesson: There is mounting scientific evidence that great apes can feel empathy for others. This example points to the possibility that gorillas, in particular, may also be able to empathize with fictional human characters portrayed by actors—or at least be moved by them

Hunters from Outwest Farms located in Okeechobee, Florida have posted an image showing a massive, near 15-foot, 780 pound alligator they found and killed. According to CNN, the huge reptile was discovered on Saturday on one of the ponds located on a private ranch owned by Outwest Farms owner Lee Lightsey ... They were surprised when they came across this huge alligator instead ... I hate seeing a beautiful dinosaur like that killed.???? #RIP....
