English - Route 70 from Docklands Waterfront City to Wattle Park in Melbourne's Eastern Suburbs in an A Class Tram. Filmed 26th April 2016. It's one of my favourite routes to drive especially in Autumn as there is so much colour around. This is part one from Docklands to Riversdale Road and Power Street via Flinders Street and Richmond. It's late Autumn in Melbourne and it's a beautiful blue sky day for this tram ride. I hope you enjoy this one and look out for part 2.

Je to jedna z mých nejoblíbenějších tras řídit zejména na podzim, jak tam je tolik barvy kolem. Jedná se o část jednoho z Docklands až Riversdale Road and Power ulice přes Flinders Street a Richmond. Je pozdě na podzim v Melbourne a je to krásné modré obloze den pro tento tramvají. Doufám, že si tenhle a dávat pozor na část 2.

The ASTROS Car Club Marked the quarter mile off with a Highway Measuring Wheel..... The REAL QUARTER MILE STARTS AT THE (BLUE MARK ON THE JERSEY WALL!!!!!) just as you come onto 70 from Ingleside ave!..... The End of the Quarter Mile is the sign that says (EMERGENCY PARKING ONLY) ....That is the Perfect 1320 Feet....... Today the IMPORT IDIOTS start at almost The 8th mile and run into the turn at the over head road signs...FOOLS!...... But the REAL HARD CORE Drag Cars know where to start and don't go there when the idiots show up!........ US Route 70 where it dead ends in Baltimore, Maryland.......... Yours Truly Has Left an Half Inch Of Rubber On This Spot Over The Past 36-7 Years

Riversdale Road, Melbourne
Riversdale Road is a major east-west thoroughfare in Melbourne, Australia. It runs from Hawthorn to Box Hill South, and includes the many small shopping areas along it, located in Richmond, Hawthorn, Hawthorn East, Camberwell and Surrey Hills. Beyond Hawthorn, the road was originally called Molony’s Road.

It's late Autumn in Melbourne and it's a beautiful blue sky day for this tram ride. I hope you enjoy this one and look out for part 2.

The End of the Quarter Mile is the sign that says (EMERGENCY PARKING ONLY) ....That is the Perfect 1320 Feet....... Today the IMPORT IDIOTS start at almost The 8th mile and run into the turn at the over head road signs...FOOLS!...... But the REAL HARD CORE Drag Cars know where to start and don't go there when the idiots show up!........ US Route 70 where it dead ends in Baltimore, Maryland.......... Yours Truly Has Left an Half Inch Of Rubber On This Spot Over The Past 36-7 Years

It's one of my favourite routes to drive especially in Autumn as there is so much colour around. This is part one from Docklands to Riversdale Road and Power Street via Flinders Street and Richmond. It's late Autumn in Melbourne and it's a beautiful blue sky day for this tram ride. I hope you enjoy this one and look out for part 2.

The End of the Quarter Mile is the sign that says (EMERGENCY PARKING ONLY) ....That is the Perfect 1320 Feet....... Today the IMPORT IDIOTS start at almost The 8th mile and run into the turn at the over head road signs...FOOLS!...... But the REAL HARD CORE Drag Cars know where to start and don't go there when the idiots show up!........ US Route 70 where it dead ends in Baltimore, Maryland.......... Yours Truly Has Left an Half Inch Of Rubber On This Spot Over The Past 36-7 Years

Drive across America from NJ to CA time lapse (64x) Featuring I-70 I-80 US50
Enjoy the ride. From Woodcrest NJ to Santa Clara CA. Took I-80 most of the way except US50 in Nevada and I-70 in the east. The loneliest road in America (US50 in Nevada, starts around 32:30 in this video) is very scenic to drive on and there isn't a lot of road work like on the I-80. For the entire trip of just over 3000 miles, except a small part in Philadelphia, the whole trip has no tolls, the booth you see after crossing CA/NV border is for agriculture related inspection. Driving on Interstate 70 from Dayton, Ohio to Indianapolis, IN
Turning north, the next section of I-70 along the east side of downtown Indianapolis travels concurrent with I-65. The two major interchanges at either end of this concurrency are often referred to as the "North Split" and the "South Split", forming the eastern leg of a section of freeways and surface streets locally known as the "Inner Loop" (around the central business district of Indy, and as opposed to the "Outer Loop" of the I-465 beltway). The north split is also called the "Spaghetti Bowl" due to the visual complexity of the overlapping freeways, ghost ramps, and overpasses that were originally intended as a connection to a never-built portion of I-69. This was my second time on one of the new motorcoaches that will soon be replacing the bulk of the old MCI fleet that dates back to the early 2000s. I have to say that I was quite impressed with the smoothness of the updated powertrain, which is a Cummins ISX12 (425 hp and 1450 lbft torque) with Cummins C-brake (jake brake) mated to an Allison B500 Gen V 6-speed transmission. This segment starts out around Jamestown Mall. Too bad access was blocked and we couldn't get on mall property, but whatever We'll jump back onto U.S. 67 and take that to Route 94. In St. Charles we'll hop onto Route 370 and follow it to I-70 in St. Peters. We'll then follow 70 to Wentzville, picking up U.S. 40 along the way. From Woodcrest NJ to Santa Clara CA. Took I-80 most of the way except US50 in Nevada and I-70 in the east. The loneliest road in America (US50 in Nevada, starts around 32:30 in this video) is very scenic to drive on and there isn't a lot of road work like on the I-80.
For the entire trip of just over 3000 miles, except a small part in Philadelphia, the whole trip has no tolls, the booth you see after crossing CA/NV border is for agriculture related inspection.
Also worth mentioning, the drought in California in 2014 is bad, very bad

Turning north, the next section of I-70 along the east side of downtown Indianapolis travels concurrent with I-65. The two major interchanges at either end of this concurrency are often referred to as the "North Split" and the "South Split", forming the eastern leg of a section of freeways and surface streets locally known as the "Inner Loop" (around the central business district of Indy, and as opposed to the "Outer Loop" of the I-465 beltway). The north split is also called the "Spaghetti Bowl" due to the visual complexity of the overlapping freeways, ghost ramps, and overpasses that were originally intended as a connection to a never-built portion of I-69. Upon leaving I-65 at the north split, I-70 reaches a maximum width of ten lanes (five in each direction) as it departs downtown Indianapolis toward the east-northeast. On the east side of the city, I-70 again intersects with the I-465 beltway at another complex interchange before departing the city, county, and metro area in a nearly due-east direction toward Ohio.
The portion of I-70 east of Indianapolis has been designated as the "Anton Tony Hulman, Jr. Memorial Way". Tony Hulman is most known for rescuing the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in 1945 and making the Indianapolis 500 popular. This stretch of I-70 does not have any interchanges with any significant cities until it reaches Richmond, but it does pass within proximity of both Greenfield and New Castle. On the northwest side of Richmond, US 35 joins I-70 and remains on the freeway as both routes jointly cross into Ohio. It also has an interchange with US 27 providing access to Richmond south of the interstate. On the east side of Richmond, US 40 intersects with I-70 immediately to the west of the Ohio state line.

Welcome aboard Community Coach route 77X. Our bus today is brand new 2016 MCI D4500CT 17006, as we ride the entire line from Port Authority Bus Terminal in New York City to Headquarters Plaza in Morristown by the Green. This was my second time on one of the new motorcoaches that will soon be replacing the bulk of the old MCI fleet that dates back to the early 2000s.
I have to say that I was quite impressed with the smoothness of the updated powertrain, which is a Cummins ISX12 (425 hp and 1450 lbft torque) with Cummins C-brake (jake brake) mated to an Allison B500 Gen V 6-speed transmission. We do hit the governed top speed of 70 MPH while on Interstate 280 just after the 1st Street on-ramp merge (26:10). The updated engine brake software makes stops much smoother; instead of the jake brake being constantly set to a specific level of output, the brake output varies depending on how far the brake pedal is depressed by the bus operator. This means that there is more constant and active blending of the engine brake and the air brakes.
The Cummins ISX engine shares some auditory similarities with, but doesn't sound exactly like the old Detroit Diesel Series 60; the quality of the base is a bit throatier with the Cummins. Additionally, you can hear the variable geometry turbocharger (VGT) adjusting as the engine returns to idle speed. The seats were also of a different quality; the cushions do not sink as far down, but instead stay firm at the points where you want your body to be supported. Overall, I can say that I'm looking forward to the bulk of the 1100+ order coming in to replace the old MCIs on NJT and Lakeland (among other carriers). Enjoy the ride =)
