Jean-Pierre Velly (14 September 1943, Audierne, France – 26 May 1990) was a Breton etcher, draftsman and painter.
In 1965, after attending the Ecole des Beaux Arts de Toulon, he began study at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris. The following year he won the "Grand Prix de Rome" for etching. In 1967 he moved to Rome for three years to work under Balthus at Villa Medici, the French Academy. From 1970 he lived at Formello, a small village near Rome, where he worked for the next twenty years.
In 1971 he began exhibiting at Rome's Don Chisciotte Gallery, and started working in silverpoint, and painting in watercolor, particularly for the series Velly pour Corbière (1976–1978) from the poems of Tristan Corbiere, and Bestiaire Perdu (1978–1980). In the 1980s his subjects turned to landscapes, still life, life studies, trees and self portraits; using pencil, china ink, watercolor and oil.
In 1990, he was the victim of a boating accident and drowned in Lake Bracciano; his body was never recovered. Since then his work has been exhibited in Italy, France and Germany.
The Coats (sometimes called the Coats vocal band) are an a cappella singing group based along the west coast of the United States and originated in Seattle, Washington. It consists of bass singer Kerry Dahlen, baritone Doug Wisness, and Jamie Dieveney and Keith Michael Anderson as second and first tenors, respectively.
The group was formed in 1987, while each of its four members were studying at the University of Washington. They began singing unprofessionally around Seattle, at such locations as Pike Place Market, to pay their way through college. However, their unique singing style attracted attention, and they were soon singing professionally throughout the west coast and elsewhere.
The Coats were originally known as "The Trenchcoats," but following the Columbine High School massacre, they became unintentionally associated with the Trenchcoat Mafia. Numerous news reports erroneously provided the singing group's web address as that of the killers, so it was quickly simplified to their group's current name.
The Coats of Claude is the seventy-fifth studio album by guitarist Buckethead, and the forty-fifth installment of the Buckethead Pikes Series.
The album was released as a digital version on January 17. Along with the digital version, two limited edition formats were announced to be released on February 7. The first format consists of 300 copies of an untitled white album signed by Buckethead himself. The second version consists of an unspecified amount of copies of an untitled white album with hand drawn covers and signed by Buckethead himself. The second version was only offered until January 24 while the first version lasted until copies sold out.
A standard edition was announced but has not yet been released.
The album is speculated to be dedicated to Claude Coats - an American artist, animator and set designer, known for his work with the Walt Disney Animation Studios and Walt Disney Imagineering.

Claude King (February 5, 1923 – March 7, 2013) was an American country music singer and songwriter, best known for his million selling 1962 hit, "Wolverton Mountain".
King was born in Keithville in southern Caddo Parish south of Shreveport in northwestern Louisiana. At a young age, he was interested in music but also in athletics and the outdoors. He purchased a guitar at the age of twelve, and although he learned to play, most of his time was devoted to sports. He received a baseball scholarship to the University of Idaho at Moscow, Idaho.
From 1942 to 1945, he served in the United States Navy during World War II.
King formed a band with his friends Buddy Attaway and Tillman Franks called the Rainbow Boys. The trio played around Shreveport in their spare time while working an assortment of other jobs. He joined the Louisiana Hayride, a television and radio show produced at the Shreveport Municipal Auditorium and broadcast throughout the United States and in the United Kingdom. King was frequently on the same programs with Elvis Presley, Tex Ritter, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, Webb Pierce, Kitty Wells, Jimmie Davis, Slim Whitman, Faron Young, Johnny Horton, Jim Reeves, George Jones, Tommy Tomlinson, and Lefty Frizzell.

Recorded in 1962. This is an alternate version which I like better than the released version. Available from Bear Family Records. You gotta love Claude's style. Tillman Franks (Johnny Horton's manager) use to tell Johnny when having trouble with a lyric to sing it like Claude would. Tillman always said that Claude was his favorite singer.

A film montage by Antonio Ferrera realized on the occasion of the Independent Curators International's Leo Award ceremony in 2010. The Leo Award named after the late, renowned art dealer Leo Castelli, was created to honor life-time achievements in advancing the field of contemporary art. Christo and Jeanne-Claude (in memoriam) were honored in recognition of the example they provided younger generations in their independent attitude to developing ambitious public projects, as well as their inspiring approach to collaborative practice. Leo Castelli was one of the first persons to exhibit Christo's work in the USA in 1964, with his first solo exhibition in his gallery occurring in 1966.
