Chris Christie appeared on ABC’s This Week this morning and George Stephanopoulos subjected him to a 10-minute grilling on why he suddenly has no problem with all the things he was warning people about regarding Donald Trump months ago. Christie is now endorsing Trump, and Stephanopoulos spent pretty much the whole interview going through all the things that Christie was ripping The Donald over during the campaign––his Muslim ban, the Mexican border wall, and Social Security. Christie had said over and over on the campaign trail that Trump isn’t specific and more people need to ask him how he will get things done. Christie insisted that on the wall, “he will do it,” and despite entitlement reform being a big issue for him, he insisted to Stephanopoulos that he’s still supporting Trump despite his position about not even touching Social Security. Stephanopoulos grilled Christie on exactly how Trump will do the things he says. Christie said he will eventually explain, and complained about how the media treats Trump differently than everyone else. Christie told host Geroge Stephanopoulos Sunday that he believes Trump will be able to build his proposed wall at the U.S.-Mexican border. When asked how, Christie replied, “He’s going to have to answer that question, and he will.” “You look at everybody else on that stage, and there haven’t been many more specifics from a lot of other folks on that stage,” he continued. ” Stephanopoulos mentioned that the Mexican Foreign Minister was quoted in the Washington Post Sunday morning calling the wall “a racist, ignorant and absurd proposal.” “You know that Mexico’s not gonna pay,” Stephanopoulos said “What would you expect Mexico to say? "I think Melania would be just unbelievable for women and for the country," Trump told ABC News' chief anchor George Stephanopoulos on “This Week.” Plus, Fox News host Bill O’Reilly discusses his new book, “Killing Reagan.” And, the powerhouse roundtable debates the week in politics with Rep. Stephanopoulos: Everyone gets a tax cut. Trump: Right. Stephanopoulos: More and more Americans will pay nothing at all. But the Conservative Tax Foundation says it will increase the deficit by about ten trillion dollars over ten years. Trump: What do they know, George? What do they know? I mean they've been doing this. Stephanopoulos: They run the numbers. Trump: Can I tell you what? They've been doing this stuff for years. They're so off. You look at their past projections, they are so far off. This is a very dynamic plan. Stephanopoulos: So not going to increase the deficit? Trump: Well if it works the way I want it to work it's not because we're going to bring back jobs. I am going to bring back so many jobs. One of the things that we're coming out with in the next three or four weeks is cutting. And the cutting is a big part of my plan, Stephanopoulos: So you're going to come up with cuts that will close that hole? Trump: We're going to come up with very substantial cuts and Department of Education. We're going to do cutting. And the economy is going to grow exponentially. Stephanopoulos: You also said that this tax plan is going to cost you a fortune. Trump: It will cost me a lot of money. Stephanopoulos: How do you get there? Trump: Well I'll tell you what. I have carried interest like a lot of other people do. And carried interest is a wonderful thing. But it's unfair. And rich people are getting.. Stephanopoulos: That's 20 billion dollars over ten years for everyone who has it.
Trump: But it's psychologically so important. If the economy grows, we all make it up. And frankly the job producers make it up. The economy has to grow. And by the way, we have to bring back jobs. Also part of my plan.
During an interview on ABC’s This Week, George Stephanopoulos took apart Donald Trump and revealed that the Republican Mr. Fix It is an emperor with no clothes.
Stephanopoulos asked Trump what he would do about the mass shootings problem, and Trump revealed that he had no answer.
Stephanopoulos: But what would you do about it? You sound pretty passive.
Trump: No, I’m not passive at all. I can tell you people say ‘oh, were going to stop it,’ it doesn’t work that way. This has taken place whether its this type of crime or other crimes, taken place forever, from the beginning and you go out a million years from now you’re going to have problems and even if you have a very tough system you’re going to have people that slip through the cracks and it’s a very sad situation and you have to — great vigilance, I mean, you have to show great vigilance, and watch and be careful and security and everything else. But no matter what you do you will have problems and that’s the way the world goes.
Stephanopoulos: That’s your answer, ‘were going to have problems.’
Trump: Now George I can say, were going to do this and that and it’s never going to happen again, you have sick people in this country and throughout the world and you’re always going to have difficulty. That’s why you have newscasts.

George Robert Stephanopoulos (born February 10, 1961) is an American television journalist and a former political advisor.
Stephanopoulos rose to early prominence as a quick-witted communications director for the 1992 U.S. presidential campaign of Bill Clinton, subsequently becoming White House Communications Director then Senior Advisor for Policy and Strategy before departing in December 1996. Today he is chief political correspondent for ABC News, co-anchor of ABC News' Good Morning America (GMA), host of ABC's Sunday morning This Week, and primary substitute for ABC network anchor Diane Sawyer on ABC World News.
In recent years he has co-hosted ABC News' special live coverage of political events with Sawyer and Charles Gibson and launched an ABCNews.com blog, George's Bottom Line.
Stephanopoulos is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
Stephanopoulos was born in Fall River, Massachusetts, to Greek immigrants, Robert George and Nickolitsa ("Nikki") Gloria (née Chafos) Stephanopoulos.

Donald John Trump, Sr. (born June 14, 1946) is an American business magnate, television personality and author. He is the chairman and president of The Trump Organization and the founder of Trump Entertainment Resorts. Trump's extravagant lifestyle, outspoken manner and role on the NBC reality show The Apprentice have made him a well-known celebrity who was No. 17 on the 2011 Forbes Celebrity 100 list. He is well-known as a real-estate developer who amassed vast hotel, casino, and other real-estate properties, in the New York City area and around the world.
Trump is the son of Fred Trump, a wealthy New York City real-estate developer. He worked for his father's firm, Elizabeth Trump & Son, while attending the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and in 1968 officially joined the company. He was given control of the company in 1971 and renamed it The Trump Organization.
In 2010, Trump expressed an interest in becoming a candidate for President of the United States in the 2012 election. In May 2011, he announced he would not be a candidate, but a few weeks later he said he had not completely ruled out the possibility. In December 2011, Trump was suggested as a possible Vice Presidential selection by Michele Bachmann. Bachmann has since suspended her presidential campaign.

Christopher James "Chris" Christie (born September 6, 1962) is the 55th and current Governor of New Jersey. Upon his election to the governorship in November 2009, Christie became the first Republican to win a statewide election in New Jersey in 12 years. Christie, an attorney, previously served as United States Attorney for the District of New Jersey and as a Morris County, New Jersey Freeholder. In 2011, he considered entering the race for the Republican Presidential nomination but ultimately decided not to run.
Chris Christie was born in Newark, New Jersey, the son of Sondra A. (née Grasso) and Wilbur James "Bill" Christie, a certified public accountant. Christie is of Scottish, Irish, and Sicilian descent. He was raised in Livingston, graduating from Livingston High School. Christie graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Arts in political science in 1984 and Seton Hall University School of Law with a Juris Doctor in 1987. Christie was admitted to the Bar of the State of New Jersey and the Bar of the United States District Court, District of New Jersey, in December 1987. After being elected the Governor of New Jersey, he was awarded honorary doctorate degrees from Rutgers University, the state university of New Jersey, and Monmouth University in 2010.

Donald Trump today finally received a question about his campaign manager Corey Lewandowski from "This Week" ABC’s George Stephanopoulos. After allegations of past abusive behavior, in the past week-plus, Trump hadn’t been asked about his campaign manager once. But with video yesterday showing Lewandowski grabbing a protester, Stephanopoulos finally asked him about it today, after Trump went off on “professional agitators” at his rallies. Stephanopoulos asked, “Why is your campaign manager out in the crowd engaging protesters?” Trump said the police were “a little bit lax.” He went on to say Lewandowski “didn’t touch the protester.” Trump even said, “I give him credit for having spirit. He wanted to take down those horrible, profanity-laced signs.” George Stephanopoulos confronted Donald Trump this morning over his declaration there would be riots at the Republican National Convention if he’s denied the nomination at a brokered convention. Trump talked at great length about how he has millions of people voting for him and is creating some kind of big movement before saying “I don’t know what’s gonna happen” at the convention. Stephanopoulos directly asked him, “Will you tell your supporters not to riot if you lose the convention fair and square?” Trump said he would “certainly tell them that,” but pointed out his supporters are “fervent, they want to see positive things happen for our country.” “I don’t want to see riots,” he said, “I don’t want to see problems, but you have millions of people we’re talking about.” Watch above, via ABC.

"I think Melania would be just unbelievable for women and for the country," Trump told ABC News' chief anchor George Stephanopoulos on “This Week.” Plus, Fox News host Bill O’Reilly discusses his new book, “Killing Reagan.” And, the powerhouse roundtable debates the week in politics with Rep. Keith Ellison, D-Minn Rep. Tom Cole, R-Okla Fox News anchor Greta Van Susteren and Matt Bai national political columnist for Yahoo News. Stephanopoulos: Let's talk about your tax plan. Trump: Yes.
Stephanopoulos: Everyone gets a tax cut. Trump: Right. Stephanopoulos: More and more Americans will pay nothing at all. But the Conservative Tax Foundation says it will increase the deficit by about ten trillion dollars over ten years. Trump: What do they know, George? What do they know? I mean they've been doing this. Stephanopoulos: They run the numbers. Trump: Can I tell you what? They've been doing this stuff for years. They're so off. You look at their past projections, they are so far off. This is a very dynamic plan. Stephanopoulos: So not going to increase the deficit? Trump: Well if it works the way I want it to work it's not because we're going to bring back jobs. I am going to bring back so many jobs. One of the things that we're coming out with in the next three or four weeks is cutting. And the cutting is a big part of my plan, Stephanopoulos: So you're going to come up with cuts that will close that hole? Trump: We're going to come up with very substantial cuts and Department of Education. We're going to do cutting. And the economy is going to grow exponentially. Stephanopoulos: You also said that this tax plan is going to cost you a fortune. Trump: It will cost me a lot of money. Stephanopoulos: How do you get there? Trump: Well I'll tell you what. I have carried interest like a lot of other people do. And carried interest is a wonderful thing. But it's unfair. And rich people are getting.. Stephanopoulos: That's 20 billion dollars over ten years for everyone who has it.
Trump: But it's psychologically so important. If the economy grows, we all make it up. And frankly the job producers make it up. The economy has to grow. And by the way, we have to bring back jobs. Also part of my plan.
During an interview on ABC’s This Week, George Stephanopoulos took apart Donald Trump and revealed that the Republican Mr. Fix It is an emperor with no clothes.
Stephanopoulos asked Trump what he would do about the mass shootings problem, and Trump revealed that he had no answer.
Stephanopoulos: But what would you do about it? You sound pretty passive.
Trump: No, I’m not passive at all. I can tell you people say ‘oh, were going to stop it,’ it doesn’t work that way. This has taken place whether its this type of crime or other crimes, taken place forever, from the beginning and you go out a million years from now you’re going to have problems and even if you have a very tough system you’re going to have people that slip through the cracks and it’s a very sad situation and you have to — great vigilance, I mean, you have to show great vigilance, and watch and be careful and security and everything else. But no matter what you do you will have problems and that’s the way the world goes.
Stephanopoulos: That’s your answer, ‘were going to have problems.’
Trump: Now George I can say, were going to do this and that and it’s never going to happen again, you have sick people in this country and throughout the world and you’re always going to have difficulty. That’s why you have newscasts.

ABC News called the oversight an “honest mistake,” a sentiment Stephanopoulos amplified in an afternoon interview with Byers.
“We stand behind him,” the network also offered, which is corporate-speak for we will bind George in barbed wire and dump him into a surging storm sewer and drive off into the night the minute he becomes an intolerable distraction."

For Marco Rubio, America is not just the country where he was born -- it is the place that changed his family’s history. His parents came to America from Cuba in 1956 to pursue a better life. His father became a bartender, and his mother became a cashier, a maid and a Kmart stock clerk. Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders sees a "path toward victory" after winning the Democratic caucuses in Nebraska and Kansas.
Sanders said Sunday on ABC's "This Week with George Stephanopoulos" his campaign was happy about the states he has won. He won two of the three states Saturday, losing to Hillary Clinton in Louisiana.
"I think geographically, we are looking good. I think we have a path toward victory," he said.

Sanders touted the voter turnout in Kansas, where he beat Clinton 68 percent to 32 percent.
"In Kansas, they had the largest voter turnout in their caucus history. That was the case in Colorado, where we won as well," he said. "In every primary and caucus that we have won, we have won by double digit numbers and we're winning all across the country."
Despite winning two states, the delegate math doesn't favor Sanders. Clinton actually won more delegates Saturday than Sanders -- 65 to 47 -- and leads him overall 1,121 to 479, which includes pledged and superdelegates.
Sanders said he's looking ahead to states that vote in April and as late as June despite trailing Clinton.
"We think we have an excellent chance to do well out on the West Coast in California, state of Washington, Oregon," he said. "We think we have an excellent chance to do well in large states like New York. We think we're going to surprise people here in Michigan."
Sanders has stepped up his campaigning in Michigan ahead of Tuesday's primary and has attacked Clinton on her support of what he described as "disastrous trade deals" such as NAFTA.
"I'm not going to say it is the only problem that Detroit or Flint has, but it is a significant part of the decline of many, many communities in America," he said Sunday. "Companies shut down in this country. They go to China, they go to Mexico, pay people low wages, bring their products back in to the United States. Very bad policies for the American worker."
Sanders was asked about the demographic problem he faces, winning states that are overwhelmingly white -- like Kansas and Nebraska -- but struggling to get support from African Americans. He visited a predominantly African-American church in Cleveland on Saturday and acknowledged this was more generational than racial.
"We are doing better and better with young African Americans, young Latinos, and young whites," he said. "In many instances, we are winning those demographics. With the older people, we're not doing as well and that's something that we're going to have to work on."
Maine holds its Democratic caucus on Sunday, and Sanders said if turnout is high, he'll win there as well. He and Clinton will also face-off Sunday night in a debate held in Flint, Michigan.

It's always a complicated process but I think we're going to do very well. We seem to be having great poll Numbers. If you lose one or two, especially Ohio, the chances of a contested convention go way up and rivals especially Ted Cruz are organizing for that. Are you ready for a delegate by delegate contest in Cleveland? Well, I think I'm going to do well in Ohio. I was there last night. We had an amazing stop in Youngstown, and you know we're talking to the people and you look at what's happened and, you know, kasich supported nafta, he's now supporting ppp which is going to totally destroy Ohio. It's going to take all of the car business out of Ohio and you look at what he's doing and you look at what he's done. He's in favor of common core, expanded obamacare in Ohio and Ohio, frankly, if it didn't strike oil, you know, years ago, Ohio has the highest budget increase of any state -- But are you ready for a contested convention? Well, I don't know. I mean we'll have to see how we'll do today. Maybe I'll tell you tomorrow but I think we'll do well in Ohio for all of those reasons. I think we'll do really well in Ohio. We'll see. If I am I'll be talking to you about it tomorrow. You said you're a peace-loving person bur you're still open to paying the legal fees of your supporter who cold cocked a protestering. By doing that wouldn't you be supporting -- I don't condone violence. I didn't say I would pay -- So you're not going to. Nobody has asked me for fees and I haven't even seen it so I never said I would -- You said you were looking into it. If you're open to that, wouldn't by paying those fees, wouldn't that be rewarding violence? Well, maybe so and maybe that's why I wouldn't do it. I don't condone violence at all and, you know, I looked and I watched and I'm going to make a decision but I certainly don't condone violence and maybe you're right and maybe that's why I wouldn't do it. And you've also said, you know, said a peace-loving person but many have talked about the various things you said on the trump that seem to encourage violence, so based on what you're saying right now are you going to be toning down your own rhetoric for the next phase? Supply don't think I should be because I've had the biggest rallies of anybody, probably ever in terms of primaries and there's not even a contest and we have had very, very little difficulty. We closed down one in Chicago, other than that, I mean we've had very, very little difficulty. If you look at when you have 25 and even 35,000 people at these rally, we've had very, very little difficulties. Finally one of the super PACS going against you has put up a new ad where it has women quoting you saying things you said about other women. I was wondering have you seen that and what did you make of it? Well, you know, I have seen it and it was a Romney deal. You know, who ran one of the worst races in the history of presidential politics. He should have easily beaten the failed president Obama and it's a lot of sour grapes. Women, if you look at the women's polling, are leaving the booths, women I'm leading by a lot and I've done very well with women and with men and with educated and with the military and with vets, I mean, we're doing well in every category but I'm leading with women and I'm very happy about it. In an interview with “This Week” anchor George Stephanopoulos, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump defended his campaign manager for an alleged incident at a campaign rally in Tucson, Arizona Saturday night in which he appears to grab the collar of a protester.
He also called the protesters "sick" and didn't appear to back down about the notion that there would be riots if he were denied the nomination at a contested convention.
The alleged incident is the most recent controversy for Corey Lewandowski, who was accused of grabbing the arm of a female reporter at an event earlier this month. The campaign has strongly denied the allegations and questioned her credibility.
“They had signs up in that area, that were horrendous, that I cannot say what they said on the sign,” Trump said of the incident in Tucson. "And, I will give him credit. Now he didn’t touch him.”

Trump, said that security in the arena was “lax.”
"I give [Lewandowski] credit for having spirit," he said. "He wanted them to take down those horrible profanity laced signs.”
During the incident, which was captured on video, Lewandowski appears to grab the collar of a protester at the same time as a member of Trump's private security team. The protester and his companion had been escorted out earlier in the rally. It is unclear how they came back in.
Despite what can be seen on multiple sources of video, Trump's campaign said in a statement Saturday night that Lewandowski made no contact with the protester and Trump made no mention of any footage during “This Week."
"The individual he was speaking with was pulled from behind by the man to Lewandowski’s left,” Trump spokeswoman Hope Hicks said in a statement to ABC News. "The video clearly shows the protester reacting to the man who pulled him, not to Mr. Lewandowski. Mr. Trump does not condone violence at his rallies, which are private events paid for by the campaign."
Lewandowski, in a move that could be considered unusual for most campaign managers, often patrols the crowd at events.
On March 8, Lewandowski was accused of grabbing the arm of reporter Michelle Fields, who at the time worked at conservative website Breitbart. Lewandowski and the campaign denied having touched her, though a Washington Post reporter supported her claim, and audio seemed to bolster her version of events.
Trump’s campaign has turned into a flashpoint for protests; yesterday in Arizona, a group of protesters blocked the road to his rally outside of Phoenix, where three were arrested. And then, that night in Tucson, a protester being escorted out with a companion appearing to wear a Ku Klux Klan hood was allegedly sucker-punched by rally-goer.
"You know it was a tough thing to watch, and I watched that. Why would a protester walk into a room with a Ku Klux Klan outfit on?” Trump asked.
Trump told Stephanopoulos that he doesn’t condone violence but went on the blame the “sick” protesters, saying that he’s not necessarily upset by the supporter punching the protester.
"I wouldn’t use the word upset. I think it’s very unfair that these…professional, in many cases sick protesters can put cars in a road, blocking thousands of great Americans from coming to a speech, and nobody says anything about that,” Trump said.
"It’s a very unfair double standard."
Trump was also questioned about saying that there will be “riots” if he’s denied the nomination. He said that he would “certainly” tell his supporters not to riot but added that it would be difficult.
“These people are fervent. They want to see positive things happen for our country. And I would certainly say that. I don’t want to see riots. I don’t want to see problems. But you know you have millions of people we’re talking about,” he responded.
Trump also made waves when he questioned the faith of former Republican nominee, Mitt Romney, asking if attendees at a recent rally in Salt Lake City were sure that he was a Mormon.
He said to Stephanopoulos on “This Week" that he meant it in a “joking” way.
“The Mormons are very smart people, and I said it in a joking way, but they can take it any way; you can take it any way you want. The Mormons are very smart people. I know many Mormons. I don't think Mitt Romney is a smart person. I never have thought he was a smart person,” he said.
Trump then doubled down on his comments. "And I'm not going to change it, because I think Mitt Romney has proven to be not a smart person,” he said.

He recounted the event just as he did in testimony to the grand jury, telling Stephanopoulos that Brown was aggressive and combative with him.
Wilson rebutted witness testimony that he attempted to pull Brown into his car, and said there was a “barrage of swinging and grabbing and pulling for about ten seconds.” After Wilson grabbed his gun from Brown and Brown ran, Wilson chased after him. Stephanopoulos asked why he didn’t just stay in the car. Wilson said, “My job isn’t to just sit and wait.” But after he chased Brown, Brown stopped, then turned around and charged at Wilson. And Wilson said he was worried “he would kill me.”
Stephanopoulos asked him if he could have done anything differently and if this would have ended any differently if Brown was white. Wilson said no to both counts.
