Spring
High pressure has settled over Scotland and spring is on its way.
It's a slow process moving from winter into spring but the subtle signs are all around us.
Tree buds are swelling; catkins are on our trees and blossom on our blackthorn bushes.
Frogs and toads are back in their breeding ponds and migrant birds are winging their
way north to spend the summer in our uplands. Listen out too for the amazing sound of
black grouse lekking and look out for hares boxing in our fields.
